"Alright, Van tend to my brothers. I'll get her to her room," Xiao said as he placed his glass on the table.

"Yep, will do," Van said as he made a salute to Xiao.

"Come, I don't trust my brothers so your room will be in between mine and Van's room. I hope that makes you feel safe," Xiao said as he gathered Narae's things.

Narae followed him upstairs to the 3rd floor.

"Alright, there are 4 rules in this house I want you to abide. First, you are not to go out of this mansion unaccompanied, there are other vampires who also want to get their hands on a pure maidens blood, second, you are to dress nicely and don't worry about that because we will provide you with the best dresses there is, third, you are not to escape from us and fourth, I want you to choose your future husband properly when the time comes," Xiao said as he opened the door to her room.

Narae only nodded in agreement.

After he settled her in her room, he turned to her.

"Any questions before I leave?" Xiao said.

She nodded.

"Alright, fire away," he said as he sat down. "Don't worry. Ask anything you want, I have all the time in the world," he added.

"I am confused," she said.

"Confused about what?"

"Everything,"

"Well, where should I start? Ahh, let's start with that special blood on your veins right now. Your blood is special, I've mentioned it earlier, right?" he asked in which he got a nod from her. "Your blood has the scent that could either drive a Vampire to madness or quench a vampire's thirst. They said your kind's blood is sweet and one drop isn't enough, I don't know. But don't worry, I don't have any intention of knowing."

"But why would I need to marry one of you?" she asked.

"To produce another generation of Pure Maidens. You're like a sacrificial lamb that humanity has given that the church you cherish the most has allowed. But if it isn't for your kinds special blood and exemptional beauty, your kind wouldn't last for centuries," he said.

"Did that answer most of your questions?" he asked.

"Yes," she said.

But before he could leave, she spoke again.

"Thank you," she added.

Xiao only smiled.

It was important for him to have her trust. Vampires who gets chosen by a pure maiden gets to be the family's head for centuries. His father's first wife and first love was a pure maiden, but she died after giving birth to a baby girl. He and Baron were the sons of their father's second wife.

"I'll be leaving then. Enjoy your stay," he smiled.

After leaving the girl to her thoughts, he went back to the study where they all gathered for a meeting. The twins were already there.

"How was your mission?" Xiao asked Gyeoul.

"A little bloody but it went fine," Gyeoul replied.

"What's with the meeting?" Zehan asked.

"As you all know, it is a competition among brothers on who to wed the girl," he said.

"Yeah, but to be frank, I don't really care about who's gonna be the family head. So, I'm out," Ayno said as he turned towards the door to leave. But before he could even take a step towards the door, a delicious scent flooded the entire room.

It was Narae's blood. Narae had cut her finger from opening her trunk.

Their eyes glowed bright red in the shadows, including Xiao.

"The scent you just smelled is Narae's blood," Van said as he sat down in a huge chair.

"Her blood, it's different from other pure maiden's. There's something you know about her, what is it, Van?" Xiao asked.

"She has Mother Mary's blood," Van casually said. "Yes, her blood is holy."
