My Little Spirit Kitty

After our little meeting with the 'Abominable Snowman and his son', we were on our way to the restaurant when I suddenly stop in front of a small pet shop.

"Are you sure Hikari?" Did I ask her while looking at her inside my winter coat to feel more warm since Amélia and Lilith were both inside my hood, sleeping.

Even if in begin they both were look quiet happy at our arrival on the island and to fly around, it was still a few cold for them and well, they were also lot attracting the attention as well. Even Solène was sleeping inside Phoebe hood, while both Raven and her sister Midori prefer to sleep in Yumiko's space ring storage. Maybe they don't really like when it's too cold.

"Yes I am, I clearly feel its presence even if it's quiet good at hiding it... That's maybe the reason why nobody find it yet."

"Ok, let's take a look… Grand-pa! Can we stop a few in this shop?"

"Hmm? Ohh sure if you want, we still have few time left…" Reply my grandfather while looking at his pocket watch and looking at the restaurant that was at the corner of the street just in front of us.

Walking to little the pet shop, Phoebe and Yumiko follow me right behind me with my grandfather while Linoa, Yuuki and their friends follow her grandfather and their friend's parents to the restaurant first since it was just in the corner of the street in front of us. I suppose they already know this pet shop since they were not following us.

"What are you looking for?" Asked suddenly Phoebe next to me

"Hmm, I am not sure yet. I am just interesting in what they have…" Did I reply her while putting my finger in my mouth while pointing with my head her sister who was looking at the breeding spirit beast they have in the shop from the windows.

I am not sure if she did understand my meaning or if it's Solène telling her as well about what Hikari felt when I see her awake and went to her shoulder, but for sure she had some sparkle in her eyes and went next to her sister for, I suppose, distract her attention.

We were greeted by a young man in 20's before he suddenly recognize my grandfather and start to talk to him. Seeing Phoebe winking at me while taking her sister next to my grandfather and listening to their conversation, I start to follow Hikari to the suppose rare little spirit beast that was suppose to be here, to see if or not it may be nice for Yumiko.

In front of me was an orange and white tabby kitten with beautiful electric blue eyes, it was so cute. Noticing me, it suddenly start meowing and spitting at me for then suddenly stopped when Hikari jump on my shoulder and start to look at both of us. After waiting for a while, it suddenly starts to purr while forting itself to its cage.

"I think we find Yumiko's spirit beast!" Said suddenly Hikari in my head

"Ohh? Do you mean it's a white tiger as she wants?"

"No! She is even more rare than a white tiger, she is a…!" Reply Amélia who just awake as well and was also on my other shoulder while Lilith was still inside my winter coat hood but was looking at the little kitten too

"BE CAREFUL!" Suddenly shout the owner of the shop "This kitten is really… Savage!" Did he say while whispering the last words, seeing the little kitten in my hands after I open its cage for took it.

"How did he… This kitten always attacks every customers who try to touch her!"

"Ohh Really?" Did I smile at him while he was looking at the silent kitten in my hands, "How much for this kitty?"

"Cough... With a basic magic charm to connect each others feeling and a set of first need care, 75 gold coins!"

"How about just the cat itself?"

"Huh? Compare to her siblings, this little kitten is born without any magic, it's something that sometime appear in a breeding species. They sometime took more genes from their non-magical parents, making them unable to make any magic and aren't able to make any connection with their master, at least without any help of specific charms." Did he explain to us

"So for be simple, it will just be a simple cat!"

"Hmm, it's ok, I just want the kitty."

"Well, in that case… With the box and few foods, 8 gold coins!"

"How about 5 gold coins without the box and the foods?"

Under the amused face of my grandfather who was observing me without interrupting us while Yumiko certainly wondering what I was doing. The shop owner was looking at me and then at Hikari at my shoulder for finally sighing and giving his last offer.

"6 gold coins!"

"Deal!" Said suddenly Phoebe behind him while taking 3 gold coins from her wallet while winking at me, certainly deciding to pay half with me.

Ignoring Yumiko's questions after we left the shop with our little new friend in my arm to prevent him from the cold, we run to the other side of the street for then entering in the restaurant, following my grandfather who was smiling.

After introduce ourselves, a waitress bring us to a private room, where everyone was already seat on a chair and was starting to drink and eat some snacks while waiting for us. Everyone stopped to talk when we enter the room while looking at us, but more specially, they were looking at the little kitten in my arms, certainly wondering why I have it with me.

"Are we that late?" Ask my grandfather while looking at his pocket watch

"No we just start to order while waiting for you! And I see you also bring a new friend?" Say my grandmother while smiling at us

"Yes, this is a little gift for Yumiko from Hiro and me!" Reply Phoebe while looking at her sister with a smile on her face

"Ehh?" Reply Yumiko while looking at us, thinking what kind of prank we did to her

"Hikari!" Did I say, making her jumping from my shoulder and taking her black tiger form for then looking at the small kitten in my hands, "Show them!"

Looking at me and then at Hikari, the little kitten suddenly jumps as well from my hands for suddenly changing form under everyone surprise. The first one who had a reaction was my grandfather who was laughing loudly, certainly remembering how much we did pay for this little suppose non-magical little kitten just few minutes ago. Even Yumiko was pinching her cheeks, thinking she was certainly dreaming before turning her head to her sister and me and jumping on us, shouting loudly 'thanks, she is so cute' and asking us lot of time if it was really for her. In fact, everyone was actually looking at a small little baby blue tiger that just appear in front of them and has so beautiful blue eyes!

"Well it will be yours after you make your magical contract with her!" Did I wink at her, making Yumiko suddenly turning her head to the blue tiger that was also looking at her, waiting patiently next to Hikari.

The most shock people in our group was of course Ingrid, Lisa and their parents, specially when they heard that we only buy this spirit beast in the previous pet shop for only 6 gold coins from my grandfather, making everyone almost split out blood except Linoa and Sakura who just shook their head helplessly while watching at the little light disappearing between both the blue tiger and Yumiko, making an end at their magical contract.

"Welcome Ondine!" Say Yumiko before hugging her new spirit beast and hearing the little tiger purring happily

"Sigh… I suppose we don't need to try anymore to search for a white tiger…" Said Takashi while looking at his daughter who finally got her own spirit beast

"Especially that for the moment we still not sure yet about this rumor yet…"

"Yes, Ichijou is right! We only the last one we checked were about a snow lion breeding clan than about a white tiger! Even thought they are also kind of a big kitty." Laughed Takashi while looking at his daughters with her new partner

"Ohh really? Can you tell me more about this?" Say Linoa while she was looking at her friends

"Haha… Don't worry my little princess I know what you want! Specially since your friends also awake their magical core as well, right?" Did he wink as the two little girls, which face become a little red

"Thanks again Mr. Helwina to pay for our wands." Reply both of them timidly

"Don't worry, it was my p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e…"

"Yumiko! I know that you are really happy right now, but it's also time to eat now!"

"I am coming mom!" Did she reply while the meal starting to be serve

Our lunch was quiet joyful with the news of Ingrid and Lisa who successfully become a real witch and got their wands, which provoke some glances from my family and even from Phoebe and Yumiko's parents! Come on, I didn't did anything this time… Well… Maybe except finding my own wand in a special way or even find Yumiko's spirit beast, but well… Compare to others things it's nothing? No?

I also had to again try to explain to my grandfather and Linoa's grandfather the requirement about the spell I did used earlier, even thought I suppose Takashi already told them, it's always good to have an other opinion to explain to you, specially when you are the one who did create this spell. They did ask me lot several technique questions that I try to explain as I can.

After all happened in the morning, our afternoon was a little more quiet, except that both Ingrid and Lisa insist to check all the other shop, in case we find again a rare spirit beast that we find by luck this morning without any success… We can't always be that lucky!

Finally it was time to go back home, Takashi and Ichijou already left us earlier with Linoa's grandparents but since Isabelle was still with us I suppose they will come back later. Even Ingrid and Lisa's parents left us after saying goodbye to their daughters when we return to the boat. Look like we will have some more company tonight, well at least my grandfather's home may have enough guest room, right?

At least we do have a little more space to seat in the boat this time, specially since Yumiko was sleeping next to Ondine who took her tiger form when we were enough far of the island, making also Raven and Midori sleep on her warm fur, even Yuuki, Ingrid and Lisa fall asleep too next to his spirit beast Eldräv.

Looking at them with Phoebe and Linoa next to them, we were smiling at them when suddenly my grandfather come seat next to us after asking his son to drive us back while my mother and Isabelle were resting as well.

"Ahh… That's right!" Did I suddenly shout while looking at my mother, which startle everyone

"What?"

"You didn't tell me yet if I have a little brother or a little sister!"

Everyone who was not sleeping look at me for suddenly laugh at me, in fact we were suppose to know about the news today, but since we got some surprised guest, we didn't had time to know about it yet.

"Ohh you really want to know?" Did my mother ask me while smiling at me

"Of course I want to know!"

"Me too!" Say Phoebe as well

"Haha… Fine, it's a little…"

"Blue tiger! It's my Little blue tiger" Say suddenly Yumiko in her sleep with a big smile on her face, making everyone laughing at her
