My Marriage To A Mute Alpha

After much deliberation, Suho and Xiang finally built up the courage to apologize to his mother and reveal their relationship to her. That morning, Suho came to pick up Xiang. While they were in the car, Xiang suddenly raised a question.

“Will it be alright? Even though we managed to convince my parents, your mother seems to be quite bullheaded. Her single-mindedness will make things more problematic.”

“Even though it will be a bit challenging, we might be able to convince her. But it will sure take quite some time.”

“I just hope everything ends well. By the way, when are you planning to reveal that you’re not mute?”

“For the time being, definitely not. But sooner or later, when the time arrives, I might have to admit it.”

” I guess you’re right. Anyway, I heard that someone is replacing the previous Executive Director in your company. Did something happen?”

“He was found to be performing malpractices. The board of directors immediately kicked him out of the position. My brother is going to be replacing him.”

“You have a brother?”

“He’s my cousin from my dad’s side who’s just one year older than me. We were quite close when we were young. He was staying in Australia until recently. He seemed to have arrived this week.”

“Oh, I see! What’s his name?”

“Zhao Lee. We all call him Zhao. Right! We arrived!”

It was a perfect warm morning. Anyone would think that, that the day would turn out well just by looking at the sky. The cool breeze of air helped to set the mood. Suho and Xiang set foot into his house, grasping each other’s hands with their determination at its peak.

When they opened the door, Mrs. Lee was sitting in the living room. Suho was the first to enter.

“Suho! Welcome home! Did you…” Before she could finish, she stopped in the middle when she saw that Xiang was also there.

“Suho! What is he doing here?” shouted Mrs.Lee ferociously.

Xiang immediately came up in the front, and said, “Mrs.Shi, I know that you are angry. But please listen to what we have to say.”

“Do you really think you have a good reason to convince me, after what you did?”

Suho went up to his mother and held her hand.

“Ok! I’ll listen,” said Mrs. Lee and sighed.

Suho picked up his usual writing utensil and started writing on it. He then showed it to her, which said, “Mom, I love him. We’re currently dating. A lot of misunderstanding happened before the wedding, which caused us to fall apart. But we couldn’t help but meet each other. The truth is, I was the one who asked him to cancel the wedding. It wasn’t his fault. Please don’t blame him.”

“What! Why did you ask him to do that?”

Suho replied by writing, “I had no interest in marrying him. I opened up to him, to tell the truth. He didn’t want me to take the blame and canceled the wedding.”

“Oh my!” gasped Mrs. Lee and turned to look at Xiang. She then asked, “Is it true?”

“Yes. But please don’t criticize him for that. He wanted me to find a better person as he was guilty of being a mute. But fate brought us together in the end. I hope that you can give us your blessing.”

“I had no idea that a lot of things were going on. Xiang, I’m really sorry for what we had to put you through. It is indeed a lot to take in. But provoking Adam seems a little too far. If you had come to us before, it would have been a lot better.”

“We’re sorry,” said Xiang. His tone clearly revealed that he was feeling guilty.

“But it’s all in the past. I am happy that the first judgment I made didn’t go to waste. And also, don’t try to hide things from us from now on. Anyway, I wish you both life-long happiness. You will always have my blessings,” said Mrs. Lee while patting Suho and Xiang on their head.
