After a while, the doctor finished examining both Xiang and Ai.

“There’s nothing to worry. Since Ai’s pheromones were new to Xiang, there’s a possibility that he felt uncomfortable. Or, since there were a lot of Alphas surrounding him, your pheromones might have combined and suffocated him,” said the doctor, in a convincing manner.

“What about Ai? Why did she feel nauseous?” asked Mrs. Lee.

“Ai and Zhao, have you ever been close to an omega before?”

“Occasionally. We tend to talk to them only in dinner parties and meetings,”

replied Zhao.

“That’s the reason! Some female Alphas bear to be more sensitive to omega pheromones than that of males. That’s’ why Ai reacted to it, while Zhao did not. You just have to spend a lot more time around omega Pheromones to get used to it. It’s nothing abnormal.”

“Thank god! Anyway, Suho, take care of Xiang. I need to drop off Zhao at some places. Xiang take care!” said Ai. She then took off with her brother.

Suho helped Xiang to get to his room and laid him on the bed. Cheng Mu followed them into the room and shut the door.

“Are you settled now?” asked Suho and gave a small peck on his forehead.

‘I’m fine. I think I scared off Ai and Zhao,” replied Xiang while smirking.

“You sure did,” acknowledged Cheng Mu and snickered.

“Enough of laughing. Try to get some rest. By the way, Han Li called me. I have a quick task to do. I’ll drop by the office and come back. Cheng Mu, Please take care of him. I’m counting on you.”

“You don’t have to worry, sir! I’ll get him to sleep.”

And that being said, Suho left. Cheng Mu immediately locked the door and ran to Xiang.

“Xiang! What the hell is going on! Don’t you have a high tolerance to Alpha pheromones! How can you get suffocated just because of four Alphas surrounding you.”

“I didn’t want Suho to worry about it and conceded with the doctor’s diagnosis. But I’m pretty sure it wasn’t the pheromones.”

“Can you guess what it might be?”

“Um… Do you now those perfumes which make an Omega go into heat! It kinda smelled like those.”

“Did Ai do it on purpose?”

“We can’t wrap it up like that. Or someone might have sprayed it on her. There’s definitely a possibility,” replied Xiang. The thought of it even made Cheng Mu to choke on air. Suddenly, a thought lighted up his somber mind.

“Xi! By any chance, did you smell something similar to that, before you went into heat that day?”

“I don’t remember exactly. But there’s a possibility that I came into contact with it, considering the situation. These two things happened, after Zhao and Ai arrived. There must be a link.”

“I think you should be careful for the time being. Try to take weak suppressants, just in case.”

“I’ll do that. For now, the suspects are Ai and Zhao. But we can’t be sure. We have to keep an eye out.”

“Are you the real target? Or, are they using you to affect the target.”

“If that’s the case, then they might be aiming for Suho or my family!” said Xiang in a panic. He thought that he just got out of a burrow he fell in. But it might be too late since he got caught in an even deeper burrow than before.
