New Emperor Of Ghouls

Chapter 63 - 63: Chaos

"He's one of the slave rebels !"

"We should just kill him, It's the crooked jaw clan who put those slaves up to it!"

"Then that means he was information, we could use."

The Sacred Ghoul Emperor's opened his eyes. Without moving, his eyes surveyed his surroundings.

It was bright out, and he was inside a cage made of metal moving towards somewhere noisy.

Both his hands were bound by chains, and he was surrounded by a strong smell of goblins.

The same scent made up of poorly disposed of faeces, unwashed goblins and corpses of animals.

Luckily, he was still in the clothes he left in, and the familiar weight on his finger soothed his worries.

Just as he was about to break the chains around his wrist and ankles, he heard a whistle from the treeline.

Zhong Yi smiled inwardly and sat up.

He looked towards the whistle and saw tired red eyes looking back at him with amazement and anger.

The soldiers are taught a variety of signals meant to substitute the use of words in situations like the one Zhong Yi is right now. He nodded towards the Ghoul and then they disappeared.

Zhong Yi rested his back against the cage and closed his eyes.

'What the hell happened to me?' Though Zhong Yi. 'It was like something was goading my emotions'

He didn't even know why he got angry. Normally, he would be calm when in battle and seldom would he become the bloodthirsty monster he turned into.

Thinking back on it, the reason he even went after the King Grade Apes was that he wanted to repair Chaos quicker. He could've sent soldiers to do the deed, but he hadn't had any chances to fight someone or something one on one.

There was General Cheng and General Hong, but his strength made it so he couldn't even enjoy a battle without having to limit himself to their cultivation level and even then, his body stage would remain the same level.

And the information he was given was wrong, but none of those would be reason enough to be that angry, wouldn't it?

His eyes darted to his c.h.e.s.t where Chaos was.

Sentient armour?

How strong would an Emperor Heaven armament be and if it is that strong, wouldn't have been able to develop a weapon spirit?

He raised his right hand and lightly knocked against the armour.

"Oii, you alive?"

When he heard no reply, he felt so stupid.

Numerous gazes watched his actions and felt the human they captured was stupid.

The carriage he was on, jerked to a stop and the cage was opened up.

"Get out!"

Without him noticing, they had reached a large goblin camp.

Goblin soldiers moved back and forth within the camp, minding their own business and completing their own tasks. Large tents were raised all around the plain.

Zhong Yi's failure to follow instructions angered the short green things as they grabbed him and harshly pulled him out of the cage.

A scowl grew on his face as he kicked the goblin who grabbed him.

"Do that again and I will kill you!" his warning fell on deaf ears because the Goblins grabbed at his chains to pull him forward.

Anger overtook him and he whipped his leg, breaking the chain and wrapped the goblins head between his beg and squeezed.

*CRACK*

The same satisfying crack of bones breaking ringed in Zhong Yi's ears.

It started something in Zhong Yi.

He released the goblin and watched how it slumped to the ground. He pulled his wrists further apart to break the chain.

The Goblins had surrounded him with swords and sabres in hand.

"I warned you."

_______________

*10 minutes later*

The camp looked like it had been through a mini-war.

Tents were ripped down. The ones barely standing, were ripped to the point of being standing poles.

Corpses of goblins lay everywhere. Some were in armour while others weren't as lucky.

Goblin servants weren't lucky either.

Wisps of red floated in the sky from craters in the ground from the usage of his King's power.

In the middle of the camp was a pyramid of corpses. On top of the piles of corpses sat a confused Zhong Yi.

The anger which seemed to burn bright cooled down slightly. It still raged with him like a sea and that scared him.

The anger he felt at being dragged like a slave equated to the size of an ant. Something like that was easy to control and he wouldn't have gone crazy.

But then it multiplied by a factor of 1000.

It was all-consuming and powerful, and Zhong Yi was ashamed to admit that he liked that feeling.

It made him want to hurt people and he didn't mind that either.

The only ones capable of being hurt by him here were goblins, and goblins will always be enemies for what they did to his daughter.

He couldn't think straight and everywhere he looked was red and that worried him even more.

Would he be able to handle it when he was around loved ones?

Would he rampage?

Would he kill his own people?

The children?

His daughter?

He knew what was causing it.

The abomination attached to his torso with no immediate way of removing it, was responsible for this mess.

Seductive whispers ring in his ears urging him to act out.

Shadow feelings of boundless strength travelling through his body.

He wanted so badly to say, he wouldn't give in.

He wanted to scream it out loud with truth backing every word.

But the images of carnage and...

...Chaos...

...looked so amazing...

...Felt amazing.

Since the slaughter of the goblins in the camp, images would appear in his head like ghosts.

Underneath his feet were his enemies and behind him were his allies and his soldiers.

It didn't look right through, there was something in their eyes that scared him.

They were pitch black.

Then everything would disappeared and was replaced by a meadow of flowers.

White, yellow, red, blue. Any colour you could think of was here making a beautiful picturesque scene.

But the beauty would darken to a pitch black and flames of blood would devastate everything. Screams of pain and agony would sound out from each flower.

All of that, was in his head like annoying flies. Tempting him to give in, but he couldn't.

He would remember what he had to protect, what he duties were and the oath he made to his ancestor.

Zhong Yi stood up from the goblin corpse mountain.

Flames of determination burned bright inside of his eyes. As all the feelings that made him doubt himself disappeared.

His hand reached for his neck for a necklace made from blue and red beads on a string.

A fond smile grew on his lips.

'I have people to protect."
