Nine-Tailed Fox

Zhao Yufeiq checked herself again and moved toward the gate of the city. It was a normal wooden gate but from the looks of it, you could say it was strong, very strong. There was a two-guard in black robes in front of the gate.

"Are you a merchant or a warrior?" Those two stepped forward with their hands on their swords. They were ready to attack.

"I...I'm a warrior" Zhao Yufei didn't know what to say but according to what Mimic said she had a body of a warrior.

One of the guards took out a transparent stone the size of a palm, "put your hand on it" the guards were now calmer. Without stress or any other objections, Zhao Yufei put her hand on the stone.

The stone turned red. "So you are a third Ascension! You are from storm village?" The guards relaxed and asked Zhao Yufei.

Zhao Yufei remembered that in those memories the name of her village was Storm.

"Yes, am I not allowed in the city?" She got intimidated.

"It isn't like that. It is just you are too beautiful to be a part of Storm village. Forget about it. You may go to the city. Welcome to the Golden Crow city." After the guard apologized he then welcomed with an open arm. It was even more intimidating.

"These people have never seen the beauty in their life. It's normal and you should get used to it, it won't be your last contact with this kind of people after all" Mimic delicate sound echoed in her head again.

"Why didn't you tell me anything about these and what the hell is wrong with my body. I have not even started cultivation and I'm powerful?" Zhao Yufei shouted madly in her mind. She knew if she had been cautious something like this would never happen.

"Come on, you don't want to rely on me for everything? After all, I have to restore my powers. And for your body, I've already told you about how special you are. Forget about them now and just buy some goddamn clothes. I'm gonna die if I don't return to your body." Mimic was really holding herself back. She was tired and the color of the dress had dimmed a little bit. It was unnoticeable but if you paid attention you would see through it.

Zhao Yufei followed Mimic instructions and sold the herbs and other stuff she had collected. After she got some money, she went to a store. This store looked very similar to a store on earth.

You could see every kind of dress, Ancient ones or the Modern ones. Zhao Yufei chose a white shirt with a long coat and black pants, she was marvelous in them. After paying for all of those, she decided to go to the library to learn more about this world but her stomach growled.

In this 'City' every kind of species lived. It wasn't something that you could see on earth. While she was walking toward the library Mimic told her "two black demons are following us. Just do as I say."

"Demons? What?! What should I do?" Although Zhao Yufei was scared, she didn't want to die so she had to struggle and find a way.

"Turn left and read these notes in your mind." Suddenly Zhao Yufei's skin turned to blood and her pupils turned to a fox and a fox tattoo formed on her left hand. Zhao Yufei was reading notes out of blue. She didn't know how she read them but she was sure these notes would save her.

"Hehe, little fox where are you running? Come to your daddy I won't harm you"

Two-men with black horns and red eyes were walking behind her.

Just when they tried to get close to Zhao Yufei, all the blood on her skin started to boil and vaporized. A bloody smell rose in the air.

The two demons heart skipped a bit. It was like they had been turned from the hunter to the hunt.

Two streaks of blood as thick as an arm shot toward the head of those two demons behind her. Slowly the blood went into their body through their eyes. In a blink of an eye, their bodies turned into bones without even flesh.

Meanwhile, Zhao Yufei couldn't feel anything. It was like she was possessed by a god. She felt like she had gotten out of a pit and fell into a well. She was scared.

"Don't worry it is all my doing. Pick up their cores so you can use them later or sell them." While she was scared like a little bunny, Mimic talked to her.

"Their cores? You mean these round red jewels?" Slowly Zhao Yufei felt she had regained control of her body and grabbed the cores of that two demons.

"Different races have a different core with different elements. The one you have is a mutant demon core with blood elements. It will help us to get stronger. Although I can use all the cores of all races with all elements they are not as good as blood ones." While Zhao Yufei was examining them in her hands, Mimic covered them with a layer of blood and slowly they melted and became part of Zhao Yufei's body.

A strong surge of energy rampaged through her body. Every cell in her body looked alive and independent. It was like at any moment she could transform. Her skin was smoother now and her eyes were full of mystery.

"Now I really should go to the library, there are lots of things I need to know." While using the technique Mimic gave her, she walked toward the library.
