*The dialogue and monologues in this chapter is spoken in animal languages. For your convenience I translated it into basic English spoken by the Main character. Now enjoy!

"I was born in a mining area for mining mana crystals. Mana crystals are minerals that could help an ape become stronger. We would mine the crystals and send it to factories where they will create many ornaments from them. Mana ornaments are really popular as they look really beautiful and make you stronger! Igraine works as a slave cook. Slave cooks prepare food for slaves like us. When the strong storm started last time the mine was destroyed and everyone there died. Only two of us survived! Everyone in the mine was dead so we came up with a bold idea. Idea was to run away as far as possible. I thought that after some distance our slave lock could be destroyed by itself. But no matter where we went we still had it. We were quite lucky because until few minutes ago no one activated our lock meaning they thought we were dead!"

I slowly explained to Dragon King.

After listening to me he was in deep thought and then looked at the Ape next to him. After that he said, "Continue!"

"During our escape we came into the land where trees were destroyed. It was quite scary as I never saw any tree being destroyed ever. There we saw a deer who had different mark in his forehead. His mark was green in color and it depicted a tree. It was different than our slave mark which is red in color and depicts a lock. We followed that deer and arrived before the big tree. There we saw a really ugly being and then after he left, the great Wyvern landed before us. The Wyvern sir brought us here before his Majesty."

Dragon King nodded and said, "I see you experienced many hardsh.i.p.s. You can rest here and regain your health. After your conditions become better we would have a talk!"

We were brought to the cave just for us and there we were serviced by the humanoid lizards. They gave us food and place to rest. Our food was the best of the best. In the mine we only ate rotten fruits but now I tasted more fruits here in just few days then all the fruits I ever knew about. After few days Dragon King summoned us. We again were led to his big cave where we last met him. Looking at us he said, "Uther and Igraine were you treated well? Do you wish for anything more?"

I bowed and said, "We don't want anything! All the treatment we experienced here was far better we ever imagined! I am truly grateful to his Majesty."

Dragon King smiled and said, "I want to be honest with you Uther. All the treatments I gave you is for you to do one favor to me. I want you to work for me!"

"Work for you your Majesty?" I asked. Why would he need me?

Dragon King still smiling said, "What do you think is the most important thing in this world?"

Without a thought I answered, "Is it the power your Majesty?" If you are strong you can be better than anyone else. I was a slave because I was weak. In the Ape Kingdom everything is determined by your strength. If I was as strong as the Ape King I would've killed all the Apes.

Dragon King nodded and said, "Yes, having enormous power is good. But what if you someday find someone who far exceeded you in every possible way. What if you find the person who you can't beat just by getting stronger. I lived a long time but I am as weak as I was when I hatched from an egg. Take your King for example I could easily crush that bug with just my roar. He may be strong to you but he can't do anything to me. Nonetheless I too am weak in front of him. He could easily kill me just like I could easily kill so called Ape King. How can I beat someone who can't be defeated with just brute strength?"

I couldn't say anything. I could feel great amounts of bitterness in his every words.

He continued by saying, "Intelligence!" He said and continued, "If I can't beat him with the knowledge that I know of. I will try new ways to become stronger. Do you know the previous Ape King?" He asked me.

I bowed and said, "Previous King was already dead when I was born but I had heard many stories about him.

Dragon King nodded and said, "During the war he learned of new ways to become stronger. Because of him I am far stronger than before! During a fight I myself learned how it is important to see something from others points of view. Two heads are more important than the one. I want you to work for me and search different ways to become stronger. From Judas I learned that you lesser apes are quite smart. Until today I have found many intelligent races to work under me but you and Igraine are first lesser apes I successfully recruited. Until today we couldn't get hold of a lesser ape because of the Fire lock. Uther will you work for me?"

I thought about his idea and bowed down before him. I said, "Your loyal subject Uther awaits orders!"

Dragon king smiled and a transparent spear was conjures next to him. After it was conjured i was pierced by the spear and could feel a lot more stronger. I established connection with my vessel and my body slowly started to release mana.

Dragon King smiled and said, "This is my gift to you!"

Even long after Uther left I still kept looking at the place he once stood. I could feel that he and Uther feel the same way. I really hope this guy could be helpful.
