Overcoming The Beast

Chapter 129 - Overlord Cherry Blossom

Leon had the Dragon come out of Ghost form and fly casually when he was far enough. On the Dragon he summoned the Phoenix. The moment it appeared it was set on fire and started burning more. Leon thought it was really hot and almost dropped from his hands.

The Phoenix tweeted and the Fire settled. It told Leon that the air here was really fresh and the plant energy in the surrounding made its flames grow stronger. It then jumped into Leon's head and enjoyed the ride. It still couldn't fly.

Other then the Phoenix there was another beast he had been holding out on summoning. A ruby summoning circle appeared and the Blood Angel, Ariel jumped out.

She held her spell book and landed on the Dragon. She looked at Leon with a frown. She was asking him why he hadn't summoned her for so long.

"I thought you would need time to get used to the body and your powers."

Ariel thought for a moment, she did need time to get acclimated to her body but that was just one day. Why didn't you summon me the other thirty four days?

"What?! You only need one day, most beasts need at least three months. I though I was summoning you too early, I'm sorry I should have paid more attention." Leon said it with the purest intentions that the Dragon underneath him almost believed him.

The Dragon knew about Leon's internal struggle of what beast's to summon and when to summon them. After it had gotten the ability to enter Leon's body had gotten rally close to Leon, even closer then the Phoenix his own primal beast. It knew Leon was lying. It had never given The Chimera and it any time to 'acclimate' either.

Ariel however did not know this, she took the surprise as a compliment and stopped holding Leon accountable. She then sat down near the edge of the dragons back and watched the clouds pass.

Leon took a deep breath. The blood oath had weakened and so the Blood Angel couldn't tell what his real intention was. He sat down and summoned the rest of his beasts.

He first summoned the Storm Spirit Butterfly. It appeared happy as ever when it saw all the plants in the surrounding. It quickly asked Leon if it could go frolic in the flowers. Leon told it to wait for a while. It accepted and sat with the Angel.

Leon summoned the Lightning Griffin. It appeared and saw the other beasts. It then enjoyed the wind and wondered when it would be this fast at flying.

Leon then summoned the last two beasts. The Ifrit and the Chimera. The moment they appeared the Ariel turned and glared at them. With a "Humph!" She turned away and played with the butterfly.

The Chimera didn't land on the Dragon. It jumped in the air and followed on a floating lotus. It was to prideful to be carried around.

The Ifrit didn't care it walked and sat next to the Griffin and enjoyed the wind.

As the Dragon was flying the Angel got up and sensing that Leon got up. The Ifrit also got tense and the Chimera turned to watch. The butterfly was ready to appease the situation.

Ariel pointed and smiled.

Leon could tell she was telling him something was beautiful. Leon internally sighed in relief and saw what she was pointing at. It was a forest of pink trees. At its center was a giant pink tree- the Overlord Cherry Blossom.

Leon had the Dragon change into its direction. Leon then had the Dragon land right in Front of it.

The beasts and Leon got off. Leon let them do what they wanted. Ariel and the Storm Spirit Butterfly went to see the forest. The Chimera went to look for beasts it could fight. The Ifrit sat on a tree and watched Leon. Tbd Griffin did the same as it sat under the Tree. The Dragon transformed into a snake and climbed around Leon's neck.

Leon sat down in front of the Tree. He took out a bronze box and opened it. The pink seed he had gotten from the Flamesmith Clan secret treasury. He picked up the seed and dug a small hole in the ground next to the Tree. Leon placed the seed in and covered it. He then took out the soul dew he had left and used it for watering the seed.

After that he started thinking. "The seed should take some time to grow so I still can't contract it."

Leon summoned both of his soul books and stared at them. He had been thinking about how to enter the fifth throne and came to a conclusion. He would have to abandon the Nine Thrones soul technique from one of his soul books and cultivate a completely new soul technique.

Other then the Nine Thrones soul technique, Leon only knew the Five petal rose soul technique, it was the technique he had cultivated in his past life before the Nine Thrones soul technique.

"It isn't great but it will make do." Leon said. He had decided to remove the Nine Thrones soul technique from the Crimson Soul book he had summoned in this life. With the silver soul book he had already cultivated the Nine Thrones soul technique to a much higher level, so it would be easier to cultivate with it.

Leon remembered the Seven colours of lightning soul technique Chloe had gotten from the Ephemeral Lightning Great Library. It was a better art but still wasn't good as the Nine Thrones soul technique. He would have to look for some way to get a good soul technique, but if he couldn't find one he would have to borrow the Seven colours of lightning soul technique.

Leon put his hand on the two soul books in front of him. He ran the Nine Thrones soul technique and crushed the circle that had formed on the soul book. With the shattering of the circle all the beasts felt a shake.

All the beasts contracted to the Crimson Soul book felt a blovkage in their heart. They couldn't return home any more. If they hadn't been summoned they would have been looked in.

Only the Ifrit and Griffin didn't really feel much. They felt a shake but nothing else.

The Chimera was surprised and watched what Leon was doing.

The Phoenix on Leon's head jumped off and stared at the ruined Soul book. It looked as if it was about to cry.

The Silver Soul book however started recover. It absorbed the Nine Thrones soul energy behind released.

Leon started cultivating the Five petal rose technique. He had completelymastered the technique in his past life and cultivating again with a more compatible soul book of the Fire element Leon felt he was making astonishing progress.

The soul book of his last life was of the mysterious element so the Nine Thrones soul technique which didn't have an element worked for it. The soul book in this life had the Fire element however he had cultivated a soul technique with no element so had never felt the boost it gave in cultivating the soul technique. Now that he was finally cultivating a Fire technique Leon started appreciating the boost.

In his last life he had heard about the boost of cultivating a soul technique of the same element as the soul book he never found a soul technique with the same element. In the end he had given up and stopped caring about it. He was still fast as or faster then most people at cultivating the soul technique.

It was the first time in his two lives Leon was cultivating with the boost and really felt like he had missed out.

Behind Leon a rose formed and by the end of the day it had formed into a five petal flaming rose.

"Not only have I reached the peak of the five petal rose soul technique I broke into the fifth throne as well. All that energy I had acc.u.mulated came in handy."

All the beasts had returned to see what was happening to Leon. The sudden seal on their heart was frustrating. It was by the end of the day that they all felt better and relaxed.

The Phoenix had also jumped back on to Leon's head. It felt even more comfortable with a Fire Soul technique. The nine thrones was too cold and commanding for it. The Chimera was a bit disappointed, it liked the arrow of the Nine Thrones. It was all powerful while this was like a small campfire.

The Dragon didn't seem to care, from all of them it hadn't been effected by the seal. The soul book wasn't its home to begin with. It's true home was Leon's body. So it had just moved out to Leon's body until the seal was removed.

"I'll need to look for a better soul technique of the Fire element. The Fire Council should only have level six soul techniques I'll get one on the way back to the clan."

Leon looked at his two soul books. The Crimson had returned to how it had looked while the silver book had changed. It had leveled up to the unique grade. Leon unsummoned both and looked at how much the seed had grown.
