Overcoming The Beast

The Dryard finally stopped playing. She pulled the leaf away from her mouth and started to shrink again. She took a step and lost her flawless skin. With another she her beautiful hair turned back to petals. As she reached the Overlord Cherry Blossom Tree her long trail dress broke into fragments and she returned to her short brown dress.

The Dryard didn't seem to notice this was happening as she cried with joy and touched the recovered Cherry Blossom Tree. "You've finally recovered." She gave it a hug.

She then took that leaf and pressed it against the trunk. It seeped into the tree and was absorbed. "With this you'll never need to worry about dying again." She said as she moved back.

Leon and Ariel stopped hugging each other and moved back. Ariel cleared her tears and went back to her cold self. Leon did the same.

The Ifrit and Griffin were surprised, when the Dryard had stopped playing they saw Leon and Ariel hugging rather then fighting. What happened when they weren't paying attention?!

The Chimera, Phoenix and Zen weren't surprised. They could feel what the two were feeling and acted as if it was normal. The Phoenix wanted to join the hug but Zen stopped it.

The Chimera also smiled for a moment as it thought about the time Leon had unsealed it from the statuette and contracted it. Leon had hugged it and cried then as well. However it smiled for a time shorter then an instant so no one noticed it.

Leon moved back and walked to the treeling. She saw Leon and ran to him. Leon had pulled through and saved the forest. With this she had also gained freedom. She no longer hated Leon. All that feeling had turned into cheerfulness.

She jumped and hugged Leon. Leon caught her and held her in his arms. She was still a treeling. In the end she didn't absorb any energy from the leaf to evolve. He held the treeling and went back to the beasts.

He saw Ariel standing in her Angel form against a tree. With that chimera on a branch of the Tree above acting as if it was sleeping. On the tree next to this one, the Ifrit sat as it still remembered the music and smiled. It stopped mulling over the fact Ariel didn't get punished and enjoyed the moment.

The Griffin laid at the bottom of the Tree happy as well.

Between theses two trees Zen in its Cold Mist Ghost Dragon form laid with its head high. On top of it sat the Phoenix watching Leon.

"All of you did a great job here at the Nature Continent. I couldn't have gone through with a single part of my plan without the help of all of you. So I want to know that I genuinely feel thankful."

"THANK YOU." Leon said with a bow.

The beasts didn't know what to do about this sudden outburst Leon was having. Zen smiled and moved closer to Leon. He made Leon raise his head.

The Phoenix was still wondering what part it had played in the plan.

Leon then looked at the Chimera, "Diablo come here." The Chimera nodded and jumped of the Tree. It wondered why Leon had suddenly named it all of a sudden. But it didn't care to much about it. In the end the day it was a pride beast that was all that mattered.

"Out of everyone you played the biggest role. Here is your reward." Leon took out the three leaves of the Tree of life he had left.

Diablo nodded, as it was about to eat the leaves. Leon stopped it.

"I'll seal the leaves in you for now and let then release a tiny amount of energy for now. I'll look for a beast for you to fuse with so you can go through another evolution and release the energy then." Leon said as he started forming formations.

Diablo agreed that was a better use of the energy. It Leon seal the leaves.

Leon formed three formations and sealed the leaf on the foreheads of the three heads. They all had an imprint of a Leaf remain. The leaf released a light green glow and made Diablo look less menacing.

"So do you have a beast that you want to fuse with?" Leon asked.

The tiger head of the Chimera thought of the fact that it was fire tiger from birth and the other two main beasts had connection to the Fire element it made sense to fuse with a fire element. It also had the flame devour rune releasing fire energy that was being transformed into sin energy.

The Dragon snake tail thought it was better to strengthen the ice element. The ice element continued trails of Dragon aura but it couldn't use it properly and was useless in difficult battles like the one against that Monarch of Nature.

The goat Head thought that it was better to get a new element. It had been impressed by the two headed birds use of the space element and wanted to fuse with a beast with that element.

The three heads talked and came to a conclusion and told Leon what beast they wanted to fuse with.

"You want to fuse with a tri element beast with the Fire, ice and space elements?"

Leon laughed and said, "It'll be hard to find but I'll see what I can do."

"All of you, let's go back to the Fire Continent."

Diablo and Ariel hearing fire continent were taken back. Did they ever tell Leon that something happened at the Fire Continent.

Diablo told Leon everything that it had forgotten to tell.

Leon had his eyes widen, "The Fire Continent withdrew from that competition dew to a disaster at the continent?" He jumped on to Zen and unsummoned all the beasts other then Ariel and Diablo.

"Zen take us to the Fire Continent. As fast as you can!"
