Overcoming The Beast

Leon peaked from behind the boulder to see what was happening.

In front of him two beast. One, a hundred meter long yellow centipede, the other a small purple flaming horse.

The flaming horse stood high in the air looking down on the centipede.

Seeing them Leon got up and started to walk away. "Those wild beast are Greenstar level. They wouldn't bother about a human who hasn't even cultivated." Leon but used Formless aura to hide his aura as he walked.

"That horse is a Nightmare Beast while the centipede is an Earth Devouring Centipede. Both quite strong beast..."

Leon turned around. The horse raised its front hooves up and neighed. The sound wave pulsed out. Leon seeing this started to run as fast as he could.

"I remember there was an earthquake this time around in the town I didn't know this was the cause."

Behind the horse balls of purple flame hundreds of meters in diameter formed each moving at incredible speeds aiming for the Centipede. The Centipede screeched then dug into the ground.

Leon could fell the vibrations in the earth of the centipede digging as fast as it could. Instantly he took out two random swords and hid behind them. A flash of white light lit up the night.

"I should really make a shield!" Leon said as he gritted his teeth.

BOOM!

The color changed to purple and eventually only dust remained in the air.

Leon was launched tens of meters back in the air. But he kept control of his center of gravity and landed on his feet.

In front of him was a colossal crater, of fire, ash and smoke.

"So this was how the large crater formed." Leon was a little taken back since in his memories he had always seen a large crater he didn't think about it but it had gotten really close.

Leon then went back to walking towards the town.

Along the way he felt different. Personality wise. "Am I nicer? well I don't feel the urge to kill as strongly." Leon pushed out his slaughter qi. It poured out.

"It has grown weaker. Or rather" he touched his c.h.e.s.t "a lot of has been sealed inside my body."

"I learned through my memories that the Slaughter qi had taken over my body then the wolf killed me." Thinking of the wolf Leon's eyes genuinely softened. "It looks like the effects still remain. It should have been the influence of my younger soul that weakened it and now that I fully combined it has grown much weaker."

Leon shivered thinking about something. "If I don't get strong by the time the Slaughter qi is released from my body I'll turn into a demon again."

"I like my emotions." He thought of the sorrowful death of his past beasts. "I can't let them be taken away again." Leon said with rage. Fire aura burst out and the ground started to melt.

Noticing this Leon quickly s.u.c.k.e.d the energy back in. "I need to learn to control this energy."

He then spent the rest of the walk laughing at his acting in the last few months. "I really tried hard. I acted perfect but seriously when did a soft spoken and timid kid suddenly turn into the most active person in the world." Leon couldn't stop laughing.

Finally getting near the town Leon felt the wind brush past him. He finally remembered he wasn't wearing clothes. He quickly took out the clothes he kept in his spatial ring and wore them.

He then sprinted towards the town. He entered and ran to the Everlasting smithy. He climbed up the wall to the window he jumped out of. Opened his rented forges door and sat in for a second.

Leon could feel all the Fire in the town. Especially the large ball floating the sky. He felt he had control over it. He could probably destroy the city in a thought by using that fire ball.

Leon then left through the front door. Miss Sasha came out of no where and ambushed Leon. "Mister Leon! why did you not open your door even when I called you for so long I thought you died!"

"I must have been in a trance blacksmithing was really fun." Leon said rubbing the back of his head.

"Well it is fine you are out now Mr Tor wanted to see you..." Sasha stared at Leon. "Leon did you grow taller. And handsomer. Weird weren't you thin and pale. When did you become like this?!"

Leon tried not to get offended "It was the blacksmithing. When you blacksmith the Fire energy refines your body helping it grow stronger. So I guess a few months of Forging can do wonders." Leon then laughed.

Miss Sasha was elevated. She felt like she had heard the best thing in the world. "I see Balcksmithing can make you beautiful. This is amazing! Bye Leon. Good Luck for your awakening ceremony."

She then ran into the building. Leon also left for the Clan.

He went straight home. He had been wanting to meet his parents for a while now. Entering he saw them sitting on the table just like his first day.

"Leon your back!" Sandra shouted. She got up and hugged Leon.

Leon hugged back and said "Yes I'm home mom." Leon's mother felt a little strange by that but ignored.

"Let me join in as well." Leon's father gave big bear hug to both of them.

When they finally stopped hugging. Leon's father said "Son didn't you grow a little fast. You look so different."

"I know father I was surprised to. I think it was the body strengthening pills you gave me. Those and hard work forging. I completely changed."

"My son is so handsome now. All the ladies will want you."

"Stop it mom. Like I'm not that different." Leon then took a deep breath "Mom dad I have something to tell you."

Then Leon told them a made up story of how he got an inheritance form a master Blacksmith in a dream. He felt more confident. Then he practiced blacksmithing and everything after that was as follows.

Leon's parents were relived "Son sounds like you have a real talent for Blacksmithing." Said David.

"Yes father I plan on going towards Balcksmithing City after I awaken my soul book."

His parents looked surprised then his mother said "Leon you can go but I can't let you go alone. I heard Pace would be leaving for Bloodsea City. Although it isn't directly in the way. It is in the general direction. You should go with him."

"Sorry mom, I can't do that. I'll go to Bloodsea city but not with Pace. I plan on staying until the Clan competition and Pace will be leaving right after the awakening ceremony." Leon quickly shot done her suggestion.

"Well that's fine." In The end they came to an agreement.
