Overcoming The Beast

Chapter 33 - Steam Spirit Snake

Leon and his beast ran for two more days, cultivating and training. They fought a few low level beast but nothing big happened. Leon finally reached his destination. Although not Bloodsea City, the city was still quite far away rather it was a steamy area.

Leon had taken the shortest root out of the desert to a Hot spring filled area. He had plans here. He wanted to find a beast. It was a Steam Spirit Snake.

This beast was given to him as a present by an Old man from the Council of Fire. He told Leon where he got it from. Leon also got it in his past life in a few months from now. He hopped he could find it.

The Steam Spirit Snake was a Four voidstars beast. It had the elements of Fire and water. The special element of steam. The snake wasn't particularly talented or strong. Leon wanted it to combine with the tiger.

It had a strong talent in the Fire element which would help raise the talent of the tiger. He also planned to use the Fire Prism Soul Jem he had bee saving up.

Thinking of the Jewel Leon thought of the Necklace. The necklace was much more valuable then the Jem. He would have gotten it on his first time in but he was sure no one would take it because it was old and rustic.

The locket on the Necklace was a seal which held a drop of Burning Soul water. If The Clan head knew this was inside he would be crying in a corner because Burning Soul water was worth twice as much as everything else combined in the treasury.

Burning Soul water wasn't useful to cultivators but rather to beast. It increased the spiritual awareness of Beast and could give the unique ability of Soul of Flame. This allowed beast to learn Fire abilities faster and be more connected to Fire. The Phoenix didn't need this. The Burning Soul water would literally be drinking water to it. So he planned to use it on the tiger as it evolved. He wanted to stuff it up and let it break out newly born.

Leon and the beast looked around for the Steam Spirit Snake. He couldn't find it on the surface so it was probably in the hot spring.

These hot springs weren't normal they went deep into the ground. Almost endless. Seeing how may their were Leon felt like he was going to get a headache.

"Tiger you look in that one, Frost snake you look in the other. I'll look over there. When you find it call everyone to where you are."

The Beast nodded. Leon went to his spring. He stared on and couldn't see any thing. He used Soul energy and didn't find anything. He clicked his tongue and jumped in. He swam in and used fire energy to form a shield around him.

He used the eruption art to burst down as far as he could. The water was a lot less denser then magma and less hotter so he wasn't as pushed. However it did have less Fire Energy and more water energy which made things harder.

Leon reached the bottom and found the whole spring was empty he swam to the top and went to one nearby. He did this over and over again until he got a soul vibration form the snake telling him that it had found it.

Leon swan to the top and burst out. In front of the tiger and snake were already fighting.

A ten meter long white snake with red eyes was there energy. It's scales were reflective and strong. It had long fangs and an odd tail. The end of its tail was folded as it reached a point. It made a ringing sound every time it moved.

The Steam Fire Snake saw Leon, it was already afraid of the Frost snake. And now it was three to one it knew it wouldn't be able to win. It opened its mouth wide. Bubbles of white were released. They quickly spread every. It then turned around and started to slither away. As it did this it rung it's tail with a sharp ding.

All the bubbles popped and Steam was released. It created a mist in the area and blocked all view. Leon had had this snake before, he was familiar with the skills.

Seeing it run was also expected. He took out the chain with the scythe blade at the end. He spun the blade creating a fan Clearing the Steam. He found the snake and threw the blade at it.

The snake saw the blade and used Its tail to stop the blade. It turned back and used the bubbles again. As the bubbles burst it disappeared.

Using the same trick again ran up this time. The snake appeared it hissed at Leon then tried to jump onto a pond. Leon used his scythe to bind it. The scythe went straight through it. A Ray of frost went by as well. The tiger then jumped after it.

It was clearly a clone of mist. Leon however didn't stop the scythe. He let it hit into a Hot spring nearby. With a splash the real snake jumped out.

The Frost snake had gotten the situation from Leon through soul vibrations, so was prepared. It sent a Frost Ray freezing the Steam Spirit snake to the ground.

The tiger got out from the other spring and ran at the real one. As it was about to attack it with its fire claw. The snake burst out with steam from all of its body. The Steam had erupted from the cracks between its scales and hid it again.

The snake escaped the binding and the area was covered in steam again. A ringing sound resonated through the Steam.

Leon was unaffected but the tiger and snake were confused. They suddenly lost their way. The tiger jumped into a spring roaring while the snake sent Frost Rays around randomly.

Leon threw the chain and it caught something. He pulled at it and shouted. "Frost snake used Frost Ray."

The Frost snake snapped out from the illusion and sent a bombardment of rays at the Steam Spirit Snake.

The tiger swam out as the Steam finally cleared. A long snake was bonded by a chain and had ice covering parts of its body.

Leon went up to the snake. It's red eyes Furious at it stared back at Leon.

Leon sighed and thought about its abilities. The Steam Spirit snake knows the abilities Misty Confusion, Steam bubbles, Mirage Clone, Steam Burst. It also learned Strangle by itself which it didn't get to use.

Leon called the tiger over. It was time to fuse them.
