Overcoming The Beast

Chapter 53 - Mirage Palace

Leon made his way to a location in the desert. It was the place where he remembered the door for the Mirage palace.

Leon ran through the desert looking for the right place. The gate of the mirage palace is something that randomly and Leonn remembered the place from his past life. The method to find the gate...

Leon walked under the blazing sun with rays pouring onto him. As he looked in front he saw the distant dunes turn to pools of water. A mirage of a lake of water appeared.

Leon stopped and started drawing a rune in the air flatly as if he was writing on a table. With an odd hieroglyph at the center he drew a circle around it. He continued to add a lined six pointed star with another circle connecting the dots. Then filled the spaces with writing. Then four triangles were drawn equally apart. and in the space between them all four of them a circle partially in the main circle was drawn. More hieroglyphs were added until a whole detailed runic formation formed.

Leon moved his hand away and saw the formation float. He looked at the mirage and put his hand on the center of the formation. He then activated it and flicked his hand slightly. The formation slid in the air as of Leon had used immense strength to push it. It reached the space above the mirage and immediately stopped.

Above the mirage a wave of light spread bringing the mirage to life. The pools of water turned to actual water and from it a ripple spread. A the center a palace made of glass rose from it. As if it had no substance to it, it passed through the water and floated on of it.

Leon made his way there. He walked on the water spreading ripples with each step. Until he walked up a series of glass steps to stand in front of a large palace door with a large key hole.

"Luckily the key rune is made public knowledge and I remember it."

Leon then started drawing runes in front of the door again. This time it was a lot more complicated as he drew in three dimensions. With runes as the skeleton was drawn first. Then Leon drew a continuous line creating a outer shell of.....

The door resonated with the key and pulled the key into the keyhole. It the then turned and cracked open teleporting Leon away. The palace then disintegrated with the water back into sand leaving no trace of what had happened behind.
