Overcoming The Beast

Leon and the two beast with the egg were on the edge of a cave. The cave led to a large open area. The area went deep down and out. However there was no pathway down, the cave needed like a cliff.

The inside was filled with large ant like beast. At least two meters tall. The walls lined with golden egg like structures. There were also more caves on the wall leading to the other parts of the ant nest. The Ants moved together carrying in food, such as dead beast. A large Ant queen stood at the complete opposite of Leon. On the other side of the large cavern.

Leon took out the Bloody Thorn Rose. "There are at least a thousand Blood Ants. If we kill all of them it should be enough energy for the evolution." The Blood Saprrow was a little hesitant. It had killed beast but not this many. The snake was unfazed it was ready for anything.

Leon took out the bow he had created long ago. He quickly drew a reinforce rune using soul energy and stamped it on the bow.

"This should last long enough." Leon had also made more arrows in his free time. Although not much, he had only made sound fifty.

"Keep the egg down. This might be the hardest fight you'll ever go through." The Beasts dropped the egg.

And got in position. Leon also took out an arrow and pulled it back with bow string. He closed his eyes and concentrated. He decided to use his Slaughter qi again. Everything had a price and the usage of the Slaughter qi came at the risk of him losing himself again. However something expensive also meant it was worth the price. The Slaughter qi was worth it.

The Slaughter qi was perfect for fighting. It was made to help the user slaughter his opponents. It cleared his mind. Increased the speed of his reflexes. It also slowed the enemy and made the more hesitant. While it also ate at his soul ready to take over his body. Because he had killed a few times the qi had recovered a bit. Although not as strong as it was when he first awakened it was enough.

Leon knew this was risky and wasn't a great solution. Sacrificing one thing for another. But he wanted to save the tiger. He would make sure not to go over board.

The Beast also psyched themselves up. The Ants only had around two to three voidstar potential. A few might have four voidstars. The queen had six voidstars. Their cultivation ranged from one redstar level to eight orangestar level.

The NetherWorld Forst Snake was a five void star beast with the cultivation of one orangestar level. It had broken through earlier. The Blood Sparrow was a six voidstar beast with the cultivation of two orangestar level.

Fighting a group was going to be overwhelming. They had only fought in single battles. Even in double battles they fought alone. This was going to be their first time fighting such a large enemy. The Blood Sparrow was ready to fight the Frost snake to. However Leon could feel their nervousness in their hearts.

"Just follow my lead and always listen to me." Leon touched his pocket inside it was the rat. It had already fainted by what Leon was planning to do. Leon took it out and kept it near the egg.

Leon finally released the arrow. It zoomed pass and went straight through an ants head. The Ants were alerted they screeched out. All the ants stopped what they were doing and started moving to Leon.

Leon didn't stop. He kept shooting arrows. All were perfect headshots. His eyes had turned a dark red and his body looked to be covered in that colour of aura as well.

The Blood Sparrow was the second one to start. It flew out and summoned the soul beast weapon. The book flipped to a page. The Blood Sparrow cried and the words lit up. Ten Blood swords formed in a circle around it. It cried again. The Swords shot out.

The Frost Snake was the Last to leave. It knew it wasn't good at group battles so it used stealth. It then moved out of the cave to the ground. It moved to the ground and strangled an ant to death. It was conserving elemental energy later into the fight. Unlike the Blood Sparrow it didn't have such a large source.

Leon held the Bloody Thorn Rose's stem in his mouth. It was absorbing the souls of all the beast killed. They were far but the Bloody Thorn Rose could sense them so they were absorbed.

The Ants looked unlimited in number. They mostly had close combat abilities. So they could only really attack the Frost Snake. Many of them had already changed targets to it. The Frost snake however moved like an assassin. It only appeared to give a swift death then disappear. The Ants attacked with Blood energy covered fangs and rammed with their heads. A few ants shot gooey Blood balls towards Leon but none of them reached.

Another ant made it to the area. It shot a laser of Blood energy at Leon. The laser hit the wall next to him caused rocks to fall. Fearing the safety of the egg Leon jumped out using the eruption rune he flew over a lot of the ants.

He took out the chain and scythe and threw it to the roof of the cave. It hit and got stuck. Leon then hung above the ants. He tied the chain to his leg and hung upside down. He was like bait for fish. The ant that shot the laser shot again at Leon. However Leon swung to the side and dodged. He continued to move rhythmically yet unpredictably as he held the bow upside down and shot the Last few arrows he had.

More ants with the Blood Laser ability had arrived they shot then everywhere. Leon was swinging slowly yet always dodging. He was predicting the path and using soul energy to change the movement of the chain.

The Blood Sparrow mainly used the spell Blood Sword. Had decided to use a spell it was most comfortable in using rather then the strongest spell. It continues manifest Blood swords and shoot. The Swords like tracing missiles would curve in their path making sure to hit the ant. Although they didn't usually kill the ant in one shot as they missed vital spots.

Blood Sparrow flew in the air making sure to keep a distance. It also dodged the Blood lasers as well. Tucking its wings in and spinning while forming Blood swords that shot back. It would continuously fly up and dive. The Blood Sparrow would also shoot Blood Feathers to make sure it didn't get exhausted mentally casting spells.

Leon ran out of arrows in the air. He dropped the bow which disintegrated as it fell. He untied the chain from his leg and pulled down the chain. The scythe broke off and he fell towards the ground.

The Ants crowded under Leon. Ready to eat him. Leon went straight down with the chain following behind. He landed hand first on an ant. With eruption rune he shot off the ant to an open area blowing the ant up in the process.

Leon looked around more ants were entering through the caves. A weird sound had been resounding. It was the Queen ant. It was calling it's ants that had left to get food back. Leon talked with his beast through soul vibrations. They had to kill the Queen as fast as possible. The Ants would lose control and they would have an easier time in the rest of the battle.

The snake slithered toward the Queen but as it did an ant with big eyes was staring at it. It then screeched out and telling the ants nearby the Frost Snakes location.

Leon looked at the ant that found the Frost snake and wasn't surprised by its appearance. Ant beast reproduced quickly. Because of this that were one of the most varied ability type beast species in the world. Although they weren't that smart, because of mutations they made up the weaknesses through abilities.

Leon swung his scythe out killing the ants around him. He spun it above his head and launched it at a five meter tall ant. He pulled the scythe back with the ants heart.

The Frost snake with its location discovered Changed methods. It used ghost walk to blink a few meters onto an ant. It then shot Frost Rays onto the ants next to it as it sat on the ants back. The Frost Rays were of NetherWorld Ice like the cave they were of low quality but enough to kill a few ants instantly.

The Blood Sparrow finally lost its flying advantage. Few winged ants zoomed in. They ignored Leon and went for the Blood Sparrow. One shot Blood Lasers while the others had sharpened their wings with Blood energy. The Sparrow was faster but in a cave it didn't have as much area to fly to. The Ants with more numbers were at the advantage.

The sparrow decreased its size as much as it could. The crown floating above its head had grown much bigger. The crown broke into five orbs. The Sparrow then sunk into the ground. It flew down and the orbs transformed into five swords. The Swords surrounded the sparrow horizontally, with their blades pointed away, spun around the sparrow. The Saprrow then spun under and through ants.

Through a large ant it went straight through chopping it in half. The flying ants called but they couldn't keep up with the sparrows maneuverability. Because of its Bloodline awakening it was able to have more control over its wings. Using this it was much more easier for it to twist and roll whole flying.

The sparrow flew by the Frost snake killing the beast around. The Frost snake shot a frost Ray at the ant with large eyes and killed it. It then entered stealth again this time hiding as it moved. It went straight to the Queen.

Leon saw his beast going to the Queen so he had to go as well. Leon used the eruption rune to launch forward. In The air because of his enhanced concentration through the slaughter qi he was able to create an explosion rune. He stamped it on a wall as he fell down. It exploded behind him causing rocks to fall and killing a few ants.

The Bloody Thorn Rose had originally been a white rose. Now it had been dyed completely red not because of the Blood but rather the souls of the beast. It was called Bloody as a massacre had to be done to let it be useful. All the Blood energy was being absorbed by the Blood Sparrow and the spell book.

Leon felt it was time. He communicated with his beast. The Sparrow understood. The book flipped to the Dragon magic, Blood Dragon's wrath. It lit up. A magic circle formed above the sparrow. Soon a serpent like beast launched at the Queen ant.

Many ant beast jumped in the way but were easily killed. Soon a large ten meter tall ant that looked to be made of metal stood in front. The Blood energy serpent roared and exploded. The large ant was launched away.

The Frost sneak appeared behind the Queen. It opens its mouth and four chains were released. They bounded the Ant Queen. Leon used the opportunity and used the Scythe to kill her.

The large queen was killed. The Ants grew crazy and uncoordinated. They started running away. Leon killed as many beast as he could. But many escaped. Finally Leon destroyed all the eggs as they had souls to. He didn't know how many beast he killed. It was more them two thousand at least.
