Overcoming The Beast

Chapter 63 - Arrival

"That tiger is a ice and Dream beast"

Ivy nodded, she then finally spoke for the first time "Also a strong one. I think it should be disguised as a normal Frost tiger."

Clementine was shocked as well. Seeing how Ivy had caught interest in the beast. "How strong?" Clementine said.

"Enough to join the Elite Disciple ranks immediately."

"That's great! We'll finally be free from this duty of picking up disciples!" Clementine said with joy. "That tiger even put that boy to sleep we can have a quiet trip."

No one else could hear there conversation. They kept the sound locked between the three of them. Nova who was sitting got curious. She had noticed Leon looking at her in the crowd. That was why she quickly hid. This boy had much more to him now. She stared at the boy sleeping in tbd white fur of the tiger.

The travel went smoothly. Soon a day passed. When They were about arrive Leon got up and stretched.

"I'm unlucky, huh." Leon said while smiling at the tiger. "The tiger didn't retreat. It agreed and started proving it's point through examples.

Leon stopped listening and looked outside a window. They were flying over a large Sect. Built with ice and Frost.

The chimera also wiped the sweat of the brow. That Leon is always listening even in his sleep. I need to be more careful next time.

Clementine got up. "Everyone we have arrived to the Mystic Ice Sect. We are going to start landing." She then saw Sire still sleeping on the ground. "Leon, could you wake him up now."

Leon nodded, he got up and threw him out that window of the airship.

Clementine was a bit surprised "I said wake him up."

"He went into deep sleep. He wouldn't wake up even if we broke his arms and legs. Falling should give him a big enough stimulus to wake up. The Mystic Ice Sect should have people waiting on the ground. They should easily catch him."

Clementine nodded as if she understood. While all the new disciples were still horrified. They were still tens of kilometers in the air. If no one caught him he would die.

In a few minutes they landed. Clementine ran out, excited "We're finally back!" She laughed. Ivy and Nova followed behind her. All three waited outside.

Leon unsummoned the tiger and walked out with the rest. As they left they saw a middle age man carrying Sire.

"Clementine! You can't keep throwing disciples out of the airship!" The man said furiously.

Clementine wasn't fazed "Elder he deserved it. He also needed it as a reality check."

The elder sighed. "How many times have I- Whatever. Just don't do it." The elder threw Sire to the ground and left.

Sire had already woken up. He just didn't know what to do so he acted asleep. Finally he got and dusted off his clothes. He saw Leon standing.

"You brat, so you know who to follow in the Sect now."

Leon glared at Sire. Sending chills down his spine. He fell to the ground again. Internally he thought "Why is he fine, didn't I beat him up-"

Clementine walked up to him. Seeing her happy face then her body, he gulped and smiled. "Yes Miss Clementine, I'll accept your love. I will mar-"

Clementine didn't let him speak and said "So now that you have finally woken up let's go to the test." She then led everyone to the test site.

One of the boys started laughing. The two girls looked at Sire pitifully. Sire was confused and didn't understand what was happening. But he still followed behind the group.

Leon walked in front just behind Nova. He made sure it was her. He then also tried to see through Ivy as well. He didn't remember her but as someone from the IceFaerie Clan she should have a high position in the Sect.

The finally reached the a large ground. Many groups had already arrived. They stood waiting. In front of the large frosty ground was a bunch of Mystic Ice Sect members standing infornt of a crystal ball. People were called up and given a different colour badge from the elders standing.

The badges were of the colour gray, white and blue.

Clementine turned and started explaining. "So all of you will put your hand on those orbs. The elders will see your talent and give you a badge. You can get a gray badge meaning external Disciple. A white badge meaning internal disciple. A blue badge signifying elite disciple. Finally the black badge for core disciple."

"However after this your Primal beast and soul books will be checked. You may rank up or rank down after the test. Finally your comprehension will be tested. Which can also change your rank. Finally when you walk out from all the test. The badge you leave with will be your starting rank in the Sect."

Everyone nodded and Clementine sent one of the girls forward to be tested.

Soon everyone was sent except Leon. She looked at Leon and said "Your turn. I have faith you'll get a good rank."

Leon laughed "I'm sure I will."

He walked up to the orbs In front he controlled his aura using Formless aura. He put his hand on the orb. He controlled his aura to show the result of beginners grandmaster level affinity.

The orb turned completely white. Then it turned silver.

The elder was astonished. "Grandmaster level affinity..." That was higher then his affinity. Clementine jaw dropped. She expected peak master at most. Reaching Grandmaster was whole new thing. Grandmaster was something that had to be achieved. You could not be born with it. So that would mean this young boy had an insane rate of increasing Affinity.

The elder didn't have a black badge to give as they couldn't be given on the first level. He wish he had one but no one with grandmaster Affinity had ever tested before. He gave Leon a blue badge and moved him along. Everyone in The field that heard the result, memorized Leon's appearance. Such a talent was going to be big in the Sect.

The Next test was held in a room. Another elder. Made stood and waited for someone to enter.

"Summon your soul book and primal beast." Leon complied. He summoned the soul book and the 'Frost tiger'.

His soul book was now blue and only had one page filled the other three blank. It looked beautiful and was of the rare rank like it was before using Formless aura on it. However it wasn't as exquisite and praise worthy as before.

The elder's eyes gleaned as he saw the soul book. "Already rare rank. Good! But you haven't contracted other beast yet. That will be a minus."

The elder turned to the Tiger. "Come here and put your claw on this mirror." He said as he pointed at a mirror on the floor.

The tiger looked at Leon then went up and put its claw on. An image of a ferocious tiger of purple and white appeared. Lines of writing as well.

"An Icy Dream Tiger? A six voidstar beast. An ice and Dream beast. That is rare indeed." The elder was now surprised.

He had already flipped through the Soul book so he was sure the tiger was the soul beast as it had a golden border in the soul book.

He was fine with everything. "I can't give you a Black badge as you don't have other beast. Move along."

Leon went on and finally a room that was filled with people cultivating. A women walked up to Leon. "Take this art and token. When you have reached the first level go through that door to be tested." This part of the test was the longest. It could go up to a few days.

Leon found a place to sit. The art the women gave him was the Mystic Ice art's first level. Cultivate to the first level? He was already on the third one! He sat and stared at the ceilingealing. He had been hidding all the Mystic Ice energy in his body. So he slowly used Formless aura to make it look like he was growing in th Leo art as he just stared. He Waited until a few hours before he got up and went through the door.

Many woke up and saw Leon going to the door. He was the first one to get up. They all started trying harder. Someone else also got up and walked to the door and entered with Leon.

It was a boy with grey hair and blue eyes. He looked at Leon and sized him up. Then entered.

An elder sat in the room.

"You two are the first. Show me the art."

Julius went up first he moved his hands around and formed an arc of swords. His energy was the odd blue.

The elder nodded. He took The token Julius had and smiled "ten hours to complete! Well done. Here is the black badge."

Julius smiled smugly and looked to see Leon's reaction. Seeing his unfazed reaction he snorted and left.

"Just because you arrived early doesn't mean you are on the same level as me." Julius whispered to Leon as he walked forward.

Leon just stared at Julius like he was looking at an idiot.

Leon put out his hand and formed a sword which he stabbed into the ground.

The elder at first didn't look that impressed But seeing it pierce the floor he looked at the sword again. "Nascent Mystic Ice! On the first, level amazing!"

Julius already stopped in surprise. He then snorted and justified it to a longer time again as he moved forward.

The elder when seeing Leon's token had his eyes bulge out, "F-Four hours!" The elder felt flabbergasted. He took out the black badge and gave it to Leon instinctively. He was still in a state of shock until Leon left the room.

Julius was also glued to the spot in front of the door. After Leon had left he felt humiliated and followed in.

An elder walked to Leon. "A black badge great! Come with me you will be core disciple. Get your Black robe and then wait until everyone finishes the test to have your rank announced."

Leon left to get his black robe. After getting it he put it on. The robe was black with intricate patterns drawn on with white. It was a spirit rank armor.

Leon left and entered the Sect. He was now member of the Sect. So he could roam around now. As he left. He saw Clementine waiting.

She waved at Leon. And called him over. Leon walked to her.

She said "Leon, you became a core disciple! Although an external core disciple. You'll have to be in the Sect for five years at least if you want to be an Inner Core member like me." She then showed the golden badge she wore.

"Miss Clementine that is amazing. An Inner Core member you must be talented."

"Stop it, I talented but not as much as you. Grandmaster Affinity! What a spectacle!"

"I didn't know I had such a high affinity. It's only low level any way."

"Only! Your sister here had been cultivating for more then twenty years and has only reached the peak of master level. Only Grandmaster level! Do you want me to carry you in the sky and throw you out."

"Sorry, Sister Clementine. So can you show me around the Sect?"

She responded with yes and started giving a tour of the Sect.
