Overcoming The Beast

Leon arrived back to Fairy Ice City. It had taken a few days less to travel back as he had the chimera transform and let him ride it back to the city.

The Chimera transformed into a frost tiger by itself. Leon still used Formless aura to cover the energy it gave out.

After entering the city Leon went to store and bought some new clothes. After which he went back to the Inn.

He took a shower and changed into the new clothes after which he wore a new Black hooded robe over it.

After this he ate and sat in his bed.

"A Mystic Ice airship will be coming to the city soon. They should be here to do a basic check on all candidates that want to enter the sect. After which they are boarded and taken to the actual sect."

"At the sect the real test will be done. All candidates will be tested on their beast potential, affinity to the element, and comprehension."

"I should easily be able to enter. Then I'll have to find some way to find a few Ice arts and leave and wait for the Frost Snake to break out."

"Now I do have an Ice Beast." Leon Said looking at the transformed chimera. Although it's ice element wasn't as strong and only knew one ability it was better then nothing.

Leon then summoned his Soul book. It hadn't changed much as he didn't have time to cultivate the Nine Thrones Soul Technique for a while.

The First page was still the Phoenix egg. The Second had gone through a transformation again. The pink fire tree with the tiger sleeping on it had changed.

Now it was a Black and purple throne the chimera slept on. With the throne there was red carpet leading to it and a marble wall etched with black writing behind it.

The name had changed changed from the Pink Flame Serpentine Tiger to Evil chimera (Incomplete).

The next page was of the Netherworld Frost Snake. The circle was blank with an egg in the center. Behind it weird silhouette moved.

The page was full like the Phoenix page as the soul book could not sense it. The King Crystal Blood Sparrow had broken out from the egg. It could be seen moving and flying through the sky with the Spell book floating in from or it. It hadn't changed much in appearance.

Leon summoned the sparrow.

The Sparrow flew out of the magic circle and landed. It was in its smaller form.

"Have you healed now?" The Sparrow gave a quick chirp to say yes.

Leon took out the few arts he had stolen from the Bloodling Treasury.

One was the Blood Rose Bush art. A high spirit rank art. It was a mixture of the Blood and plant element to form an art. This was the first art Leon had gotten that cultivated two elements. It gave the Thorny Rose Bush field rune, however it was useless as Leon still didn't have a plant beast.

The next art was called Vampiric Blood art. Now this was something Leon liked. It gave the Vampirism rune. It was basically a stronger Blood absorb. Thinking of this art had reminded Leon of the Blood art he had been cultivating in his past life- Blood God's art.

Now his affinity was much stronger he should be able to cultivate the art. He had only reached the second level in his past life. It was a high ranking skill that he had gotten. It was the main art he had been cultivating till the day he died in his past life.

"I'll learn Vampiric Blood art and then finally learn Blood God's Art." Leon said in his head. "Well that is for another time, now I need to focus on the ice element."

Leon had then Bird sit by as he cultivated with the 'Frost Tiger'. He had already reached the first level of the Mystic Ice art again. After spending another two days he reached the peak of the third level again.

Leon left his house to see a crowd gathering.

"The Airship should be about to arrive." He had already unsummoned the Blood Sparrow as he walked with the Transformed chimera into the crowd.

In an hour an airship finally landed. From it two women walked out. Both wearing terribly light clothing for the weather.

One of the women had a light pink hair while the other had white. The light pink hair wore a dress with a wooden staff. While the white hair wore a white suit with a sword hung to her waist.

The pink hair women spoke "Hello I am Clementine Frostwalker. This here is Ivy Icefaerie."

Many in the crowd were surprised by the name of the second girl. What Leon was focused on was the girl hidding and peeking out from the airsh.i.p.s door.

Seeing the silver hair Leon was sure of who she was. Nova Icefaerie, the Mystic Ice Sect Disciple that had gotten the Ice Dragon's Roar that he wanted. Leon though did find it weird on how she was so timid. When he had fought her he had just passed by her. When she started attacking him without stop. He had escaped when she started using Ice Dragon's Roar as he knew he couldn't defend against the ability.

Clementine continued "We are here to select the future members for the Mystic Ice Sect. Every one in that city is eligible for the test. But don't waste our time if you haven't reached summoning scholar and a primal beast of the Ice element."

People started forming a line to enter the airship.

Clementine stood with Ivy, who took out a gem. Ivy held the gem to her eye and looked at the first person to come to the door. She shook her head.

Clementine told him that he was rejected. The man left sad and angry. He wanted to tell them to check again but he knew unlike how they appeared they were vicious, they would ban him from ever trying again if he was disrespectful.

The line moved along quickly barely anyone was accepted.

Leon watched as he thought. "That gem is a basic affinity gem. That girl should be looking for how big a reaction the gem has to the affinity of a person. Normally they accept people that can at least cloud half the crystal. Which was around teacher level affinity.

Out of the dozens of people in front of Leon only one was accepted. Finally it was Leon's turn. When Ivy looked at him the crystal filled instantly then exploded.

Both Clementine and Ivy were shocked. That ment the boy in front of them at least had master level affinity which was amazing.

Clementine didn't wait for Ivy to say anything. "Please come in. So what is your name?"

"Leon." Leon said as he walked into the airship with the 'Frost Tiger'.

The Airship was empty. It had rows of seats with a few people sitting. All far apart not socialising with another. Leon also found a seat and sat down. He saw Nova sitting in the front while a few of the people accepted sitting around. Non of them had their beast summoned.

Outside Ivy took out another gem and quickly finished the check. They both then entered.

"Hello again everyone!" Clementine said with more excitement. "You have all made it through the first test. So Now it is almost a hundred percent likely you'll be accepted into the Sect. Maybe not as a Full disciple but you will be allowed to slowly rank up and become one."

"Now we will be reaching the Sect by tomorrow. That is where the real test will happened. So just sit and relax."

Leon did exactly what they said he sleep with using the tiger next to him as a pillow. The tiger was already sitting awkwardly and now it had to support Leon's head it didn't know what to do. But seeing Leon sleep, the tiger let it go. If Leon woke up his luck would effect the whole ship and cause it to crash.

Leon actually slept as he had been tired after cultivating for so long.

The others were all nervous. They looked around to see what everyone else was doing. There were six people accepted counting Leon.

Three were boys while the other two were girls. One of the girls saw Leon and started to sleep as well. The other three kept themselves busy by cultivating. One of the boys got up and went to Clementine.

"Hi I'm Sire IceFang."

"Sire IceFang! You are the boy elder Oliver accepted as a disciple but was had gotten sick so couldn't come to the test last year. Are you fine now?"

"Yes it was a strong sickness it took me a few months to recover. It was disappointing not being able to enter the Sect then. At least I made it now."

Clementine stopped being interested. "That is right. Good make sure to try your hardest during the test."

"The test aren't I already a disciple?"

"No since it has been a year you are no longer a disciple. You'll have to go through the test again. Elder Oliver himself had said that he didn't want you as a disciple anymore." Clementine said coldly.

"What! I just missed a year. I made sure to cultivate. Why would I bother to join the Mystic Ice Sect if I wasn't a hundred percent certain to enter. With my talent I could pass the Miracle Snowland sect test."

Clementine smiled deviously. "Talent? What is your so called talent?"

"My primal beast is a five voidstar beast, the Frigid blue Imp. My Affinity had already reached mid teacher level." Sire said confidently.

Clementine answered sarcastically "Wow! A Frigid Blue Imp! amazing! We have to tell the elder to rethink his decision." She then laughed. "Go sit down you'll be doing the test."

Sire felt angry he was about to say something when Clementine turned frosty. The whole airship chilled.

She grabbed Sire and before he knew it he was dangling outside the airship. "Are you going to say anything?"

Sire looked down and could see how high he was felt frightened "No please I'm S-sorry."

"Good" Clemtine sealed the emergency door she broke open with ice. "Your talent is nothing. This silver haired girl next to me has a seven voidstar primal beast with master level affinity. That boy sleeping there also had master level affinity and they both are younger then you." Clementine had pointed at Leon when talking about the boy.

"So shut up and work hard." She threw Sire and sat back down. As if nothing had happened she started talking with Ivy again.

Sire got up. His face red with anger and embarrassment. He looked at the silver haired girl at the front of the airship. Seeing her next to Clementine and Ivy he was sure she had some type of special position. So he decided to make the sleeping boy his outlet. He was only at level three summoning Scholar, how strong could he be even if he had high affinity?

He walked up to the boy just as he was about to say something.

The tiger next to the boy raised its head and stared at him. It's purple eyes changed and before the boy knew it he fell to the floor asleep.

The tiger snorted. Don't even think of waking Leon up. He almost woke up when that lady threw you out. I had to cover his ears and wrap around him. I! The Great chimera had to. Now you come to awaken him directly. Sleep forever for all I care.

The tiger head of the chimera gave this inner monologue with the snake head and goat head nodding and agreeing.

The tiger then fell asleep again.

Clementine and Ivy were shocked by what they had seen.
