Overcoming The Beast

"If the Ice Empress had used the cave as a spot to hide and recover would never have left an egg that had Dragon Blood in it lying around."

"She was known for contracting the most beautiful beast and Dragons should be on top of her list."

"Dragons are known to be the most beautiful creatures, especially Ice Dragons. The Frost Snake had two Dragon Bloodlines making it much easier to evolve it into a dragon. She could have easily sensed the bloodlines even as an egg."

Leon started to rub his chin and leave the Ice Dome. He kept the necklace in his Spatial ring and walked.

"So, she didn't place it."

Leon roared in laughter at a thought, "This is perfect! I was wondering why this Frost Snake was different from Orion's memory. It isn't the same egg. Orion got a Frost Dragon with a normal Dragon bloodline. The egg I found is much more unique then that."

Leon cleared his thoughts and tried to come up with a clear picture of events to make sure he was right.

"The Blood Demon Dragon should have used Dragon Soul Curse. It is an ability all dragons have where they sacrifice there soul to bind and eventually devour an enemies Soul Book. The Ice Empress must have found the cave through luck and noticed its Isolating feature. She must have summoned her Everlasting Netherworld Ice Crane to recover, that must be where all the Netherworld Ice came from."

"The only way to break the Dragon curse is to swallow a Dragon Heart. The Dragon Curse is known to have instincts. When a Dragon Heart is close to it, it will try to absorb the energy to reincarnate again. The Ice Empress should have sealed the Dragon in the heart and then left with it."

"At least that's what she thought. She underestimated the Dragon Soul. It should have overcome its d.e.s.i.r.e and tricked her weakened self into thinking it was sealed, while it hid in the ice in the surrounding."

"Everything till now at least has circ.u.mstantial evidence. However after this is just making assumptions." Leon thought, the next part was what really made him happy.

"There should be someone else that had been watching the fight. This person should have followed The Ice Empress into the cave and watched her recover. They should have also seen the Dragon soul escape. When the Ice Empress left they should have taken the soul and sealed it in Ice Crystal Liquid. Using some type of runes they must have forced the Dragon Soul to form into an Ice Beast."

"I can think of two runes with a similar function, but they wouldn't work on a Dragon soul. This person can't be at Emperor Level or they would have killed the Ice Empress."

"They must have some strong arts to hide and see the Dragon soul. Sealing one sounds a bit too much of a stretch, but if they had an art from the Eternal Sealing Clan they could achieve it."

"After sealing it they probably left the egg to form as an Ice Beast. I can't tell how many years it took, but I can guess it took a lot. They finally came back a while after I came for the egg."

Leon said the next part slowly to absorb the absurdity of the scenario. "The Beast formed would be an origin beast. The blood of an origin beast is able to turn other beast into the same species. So after they evolved the Frost Snake into a Frost Dragon they used Its blood to form the Frost Dragon that Orion got."

"But why? there should be some kind of benefit I don't know of." Leon couldn't solve this part.

"So how is that Dragon? You could be an Origin Beast. A Beast formed from nature, a true heaven' child."

The snake on Leon's head looked at him. "I think you might be right. When I absorbed the Ice Heart at first I couldn't even get close to it. There was a shield blocking me from moving forward. It was when I started cultivating a weird type of energy came out of my body and s.u.c.k.e.d me into the Ice Heart and I started becoming one with it. At the time I could feel the Ice heart's emotions. It was excited as I absorbed It. It could be because I was An origin beast." Leon also agreed.

"That could be something else. We can't say for sure. If only I was there to see how your egg ended up in the cave we could be certain."

"But still there too many holes. My theory bases on the fact some one hid from the Ice Empress and watched her. I wouldn't b able to do that even if I mastered Formless aura!"

"The only reason I thought of some one else being in the cave was the skull in the cave. That meant others had come before me. No way did they just randomly find the cave as they had thier daily magma bath. They were informed about the cave."

"Looks like a lot more people know about it then I thought. Thinking about it, the person who made the cave probably told others about it."

Leon finally felt satisfied. "I guess that makes sense. I don't even need a mystic ability to see the Past!" Leon laughed out loud.

"That person should be returning to see the empty cave. How pitiful! Years of effort down the drain."

As Leon wiped his none existent tear of joy. He repeated, "Returning..." his laughter stopped as he thought about it a bit more, something felt off.

"Isn't the Phoenix egg still in the volcano? I left my baby so close with an opportunist sycophant. With their array of ability I don't know if the Phoenix egg can hide. Considering they saw a Dragon soul it probably can't." Leon was already running as fast as he could.

"I wouldn't worry if it was someone else. But this person has an Eternal Sealing Clan ability. They probably could easily seal the egg and take it away." Leon used the eruption rune to run faster.

"How the Hell am I suppose to reach the egg basically on the other side of the planet!"

"I could use the teleportation Formation I came with but where am I suppose to find another soul stone." Leon remembered the Dragon cave.

"No I can't go there it's probably protected by the soul Dragon." He then remembered the Sect he was in.

"I need to get into the Sect's treasury."

Leon left the Snow Dome. He then ran to the Cold Dome ignoring Clementine who called for him as he ran.

"Why is he in such a hurry? I was about to him that the Mystic Ice ceremony was about to start and all core disciples have to come to the main hall."

Ivy who was also with her told Clementine to forget about it. They both then walked to the main hall.

Leon entered the Cold Dome and ran in. Far enough in he had the Dragon transform back to its original body and take him to the treasury. The Dragon nodded. It entered ghost Form and found flew around the whole sect looking for the treasury.

They went underground and in buildings. Leon watched Disciples as they slept or cultivated.

Leon had the Dragon raise up and he watched down on the Sect.

"It isn't here. We can't even sense any type of energy. Let's try again."

The Dragon nodded. It rose up to dive towards the ground. But it suddenly entered into a dark room as it moved up.

"They had it in the sky. Cool, that's exactly where I was going to check after we made sure to check the ground."

The Dragon didn't seem impressed. Leon had let his mental guard down because of his nervousness so it was easier to read his intentions through the Blood Oath. The Dragon knew Leon was planning to check the ground as many times as they had to.

Leon felt a bit awkward. He would normally only let his surface level emotions through the the Blood Oath. Now the Dragon was way stronger it was more connected with him and could read his mind even if he let his guard down a little.

Leon got of the Dragon and looked around. "Can you sense a soul stone?"

The Dragon looked around. That told Leon that it couldn't.

"Anything close to the amount of energy it has?"

The Dragon gave another negative.

Leon couldn't believe that. He started running around checking each shelf. Normally everything here would be attractive to him, but in a race against time he didn't bother looking at anything twice.

"There actually isn't anything useful here. There are a lot of items that have been taken out recently as well."

All the items were covered in a shield. Leon could tell that a lot of the shields had just been removed. With also how vacant it was, it wasn't surprising.

"Lets go back to the sect something should be happening if so many items were taken."

The Dragon went back to the sect and arrived in that Cold Dome. Leon ran out and walked to the main hall of the Sect where the Dragon told him people were gathering.
