Overcoming The Beast

All the beast had been summoned. Leon already had the Dragon around his neck ready to attack. He watched the group of beast being summoned and two caught his eyes.

One was Flint's beast. It was a small red horse. It small wings with a short horn. It weakly flew. Any body could tell it wasn't a fighter. However everyone accepted it's summon with Passion. "Flint you contracted a Flaming Winged Unicron! This battle will be easy."

Leon had seen that beast before. He had even fought it when it was an a.d.u.l.t. It was when he killed flint as Fire Emperor. It was something he did on accident. At the time he still hadn't lost himself to the slaughter qi but would get bursts of killing thoughts sometimes.

Flint had become the Fire Empeor, he was enjoying his time. The nation was prospering. Leon had returned to the Fire continent after a while. He went up to the council of fire to see I'd any of the old men he met when he was young were alive. His clan had been destroyed and so he had no real connection to the continent any more.

At the council of fire he met Flint. Flint already knew who he was as Leon was supposed to the inheriter but was chased away. He greeted Leon with smiles and even asked Leon to take a high position on the council. Flint saw Leon as an idol as did most of the country. The Council of Fire had portrayed Leon's story to the world. A Heaven's favourite, the light of the country was killed on the day of his inauguration. It was also why many people fought in the War.

But then he survived and got his revenge. Not for him self but the country. Everyone was moved to tears.

Leon and Flint chatted for a while. It was at the Council of Fire Leon saw someone he hated. Just thinking about her made him want to puke. She was a member of Pandora that he had met during his travels just after escaping. At the time he thought she was a normal girl. They worked together and caught together as he escaped. Leon had honestly fallen in love with Her. He was sure she was in love with him. As they spent time together she was severely injured in a fight. On her dying breath she told Leon that she was a member of Pandora and she couldn't come to kill him.

Then he had been heart broken but still loved her. But as he grew stronger and found out more about Pandora did he start to hate her more.

Leon had forgotten about her and buried her in his memories. However he remembered her when he saw Flints face. He had tried to kill her at the Council of Fire but Flint stopped him. So he killed Flint and then her. He was then chased by Eos and the other member's of the Council of Fire.

Leon did feel a bad for killing Flint in his Last life. He had just done it out of pure anger and Flint hadn't even fought back. He trusted Leon enough and didn't attack.

Leon decided that he owed Flint a favour, he had already gotten into the Dragon cave as well.

The other beast that that was interesting, but not with as much relevance was a young Lighning Shadow Cheetah. It was a strong beast with the potential of four voidstars. It had the shadow and lightning elements. Making it very unique.

The Beast appeared in from if of the group. It was a large dinosaur like beast. It ran on four legs and had spikes on its body. It's tail was like a Hammer and grew heavy at the end.

The Beast roared. It then smashed Its tail into the ground. Th ground cracked and moved towards Leon and the group.

Leon shouted "It's an Earth shaker Beast. Jump forward now it used Its ability Rock Pierce."

The team listened to Leon, and jumped forward. Spikes grew from behind them that barely missed them. Leon landed with his hand stretched out. The snake slithered off and landed on the Beast. It bit into the Beast. The Dragon used Its Ice Lord ability to freeze the insides of the beast. The Flaming Winged Unicorn flew forward and sent a halo of Fire at the Earth Shaker beast.

The ring of fire locked around the beasts neck and set it's whole head on fire. Soon the beast fell to the ground.

Everyone celebrated while Leon went up and took out the runic core of the beast. He hadn't had a chance to collect then for a while.

Flint walked up to Leon and raised his hand for a high-five, "Great team work Leon!"

Leon high dived back and smiled. "Good job as well."

He then ordered to move forward. They fought more beast along the way. Leon was a lowly making his way to where he found the Lightning Griffin.

The key for the Ephemeral Lightning Great Library was something that was going to appear soon. He was going to get the Griffin first.

Along the way a few members left at a bidding spot for the Lightning Army. Form the eight only four were left. Leon was happy flint stayed. The other two were Benji, the person who gave the idea for creating the group and the girl with the Lighning Shadow Cheetah.

Leon was happy he had less luggage to carry. Flint an Benji talke, while the girl who was called Chloe walked with Leon. Leon heard her name when Flint called out to her.

Finally at a far enough position Leon felt like it was time he went his own way and capture the Griffin.

"You three I'm gong to go capture a beast. It'll take me a few hours. How about we set up camp here for now since its already night."

Benji was skeptical, "You're leaving alone? Isn't it better If we all come with you?"

Leon flat out rejected the idea, "No I'll do this quick, you guys would just slow me down. I'll leave for the night and I'll be back before you know it. So just rest tight."

Leon then left them.

They watched a on leave.

Benji turned to Flint and Chloe, "Are we just going to let him leave?"

Flint responded "Leon is right we could slow him down so it's fine if he does it on his own. I trust him, he'll come back."

chloe agreed.

Benji was annoyed by their attitude but set up camp with them.

Leon had the Dragon carry him to the side of a cliff of the mountain ranges in the distance. That was where the Griffin nest was.

Leon had the Dragon show him around the Cliff. They finally found the nest. It was however empty.

"They should be out hunting."

The Dragon then flew high in the sky to make sure Leon could cover a such ground as once. They finally found a group of lightning bolts moving together. The Dragon chased after the bolts. They finally found the pack of Griffins. They were being chased.

It was a group of Summoners. They were there to capture the Griffin and sell them.

It was a group of four Summoners, one of them shouted "Capture them alive."

"We know boss." another replied. A praying months liked beast went up and slashed at a Griffin. A deep wound appeared. The Griffin screeched and fell. One of the younger Griffin stopped and turned back. It saw its injured sibling and screeched. It's body had lightning come out and surround it. The Lightning hit the ground and looked to be pouring out in streams. The young Griffin looked angry. A magic circle appeared in one of its eyes and then a large lightning hammer formed above the The many is like beast. The hammer pounded down.

The many is like beast moved swiftly it cut the hammer into pieces quickly. It then turned to the Griffin about to attack it When a beast suddenly papered in front of it.

It was the Blood Harpy. Leon had summoned her and she teleported in front of the mantis. The Mantua had small cuts on its body dew to the hammer attack. The harpy smiled the spell book flipped pages and a spell lit up. The cuts grew wider and blood flowed out faster.

The mantis was pained it moved tried to stop it's blood from spilling. The summoner was also freaking out, "Boss a new beasts pampered and it's strong."

"I can see it as well. Let's retreat it should be some type of friend." However when they returned they saw Leon behind them standing on a misty figure.

"Too bad you met me." Ten Frost Dragon's swords appeared. They quickly slaughtered the other beast and men. The Blood Harpy finished off the Mantis with a blood sword.

Leon cultivated the Vampiric Blood Art. The harpy quickly absorbed the Blood much faster then before.

Leon turned to the Griffins. The other Griffin had already left, only two remained, one was at the point of death another exhausted.

Leon watched the small Griffin die and the other Griffin mourn.

"So this is why its potential was so wasted. It got too caught up in revenge." Leon shook his head. He walked up to the Lightning Griffin. This was the same one he had contracted around more then twenty years in the future.

The Griffin turned to Leon and cried something. Leon understood it was asking to contract with Leon. Leon agreed and summoned his last life's soul book. He dropped blood and created the contract. The Griffin was s.u.c.k.e.d into the soul book. It had appeared on the page after the eggs.

Leon summoned it. "The Griffin is still young and weak." Leon unsummoned all his beast other then the Dragon and started returning to the place he told Flint and the others to set up camp.

"When I met it in my past life it tried almost killed me before I forcefully contracted it." Leon thought. "Then it had lost an eye and was a raging beast."

What made this Griffin so talented was its eyes. They were eyes of a Black Basilisk.

In his past Leon had found out that it was born blind. The Griffin had told him it had gotten its eyes from the Black Basilisk at a young age. The basilisk took the griffin's eyes and gave the Griffin its own eyes. Normally it would be impossible for another beast to have Basilisk eyes.

Basilisk eyes were special they gave the ability of using spells instantly. They also allowed a Basilisk to copy and use an opponents spell. At a.d.u.l.t age it even allowed the Basilisk to kill other beast instantly at a glance.

Black Basilisk were rare serpent like beast. They were of insanely high potential but were almost never seen anywhere. Leon wouldn't even know they existed If the Griffin hadn't told him in his past life.

This Griffin was somehow compatible with the eyes. However Leon still regretted a little not coming when it was born. He wanted to see its blind eyes and why the Basilisk would want them.

The Eyes of the Griffin looked normal. They weren't weird, they had completely combined with the Griffin. It had awakened one eye if the Basilisk and it should have been the fight that just happened where it lost its eye. The boss saw its eye use a spell instantly and so stole it. The Griffin however escaped.

Leon reached the campsite. All three of the others were asleep. Leon came and sat down. He summoned the Griffin and held in the night.

The Griffin had blue lightning like feathers. It had an eagle held and a lions body with an eagles wings. The feathers on its head were white.

Leon held the beast in his arms. "This Lightning Griffin is six voidstar potential. It also has a cultivation of one orangestar level."
