Overcoming The Beast

Leon found a clean room and locked the door. He used Formless aura to hide what was happening inside. Leon had already given instructions to Flint and the others and they were informing the Lighning Army at the moment.

Leon summoned the Blood Harpy. He then asked her, "What was that spear spell you used?"

She nodded as if expecting the question. She showed Leon her Spell book. In it was a long spell in a Language Leon recognised to be the Fairy Language. "So it is fairy magic! The Fairy Queen's Spears! You're holy bloodline is not that of a fairy nether do you have a relation with fairies. So how did you learn it?"

She told Leon that the spell book had already started forming a Fairy spell long ago. After she used the teleporting Sword spell to fight the Capricorn beast, she liked it so much she made the spell book from that into a fairy spell.

Leon started coughing "You're telling me you had the chance of forming any type of Fairy spell and you created one that you could already use." Leon kept his disappointment inside. "The spells great for battle so make sure to train it well. I think it had much more potential then just teleporting. I'll try to find more Fairy spells and Fairy blood."

Fairy Magic was like Dragon Magic in the fact it was stronger then normal magic. It used unique Fairy Energy to form. The purest and highest type of Fairy Energy was comparable to Dragon energy. However only one fairy could have it at a time: The Fairy queen. The Fairy queen, the highest level a fairy could reach, was usually Someone dragons had to respect as well.

Overall Fairy Energy was ranked lower then its actual potential strength. If put on a list of strength it would be underneath Sin energy which was underneath Dragon energy.

The fact the spell had Fairy queen in its name was it's only redeeming quality the made Leon not as disappointed. Fairy Magic's best spells were those used with the light, holy or Nature. It had one of the strongest healing spells that everyone knew, most if it's fame came from this spell, it was called- Fairy Queen's Blessing.

Other then that, battle wise Fairy Magic was more oriented as support spells; in helping beast grow stronger during battle.

Making use of Fairy Magic for attacking was a waste of its potential. The energy didn't have strong attacking characteristics. Which was why Leon was a bit disappointed it went with forming an attacking spell.

Leon told it to try and use its Holy element bloodline to help with growing the spell. The Blood Harpy still hadn't formed A holy energy which would make it hard to alter the path to a more Fairy suited one.

The Blood Harpy nodded and listened to the advice well. Leon then Unsummoned and left the room.

Leon arrived to the main hall and saw the three having a feast.

Things got a little awkward. Flint wiped his mouth with his arm and said "Leon we tried calling you but your door was locked and you weren't responding. So we started without you."

Leon nodded. He had also set up a quick sound proof formation that worked both ways. So he couldn't hear anything from the outside while he talked to the Harpy.

Leon sat on the table with them and asked "When is the Lightning Army arriving?"

Benji responded "I just talked to them. They should be hea-" His talisman that was in his pocket lit up.

He shouted "There here!"

Leon went up to the shield formation and made a hole in the shield. He could sense around ten people had entered.

They were of Summoing expert level. With the leader being peak of the summoning expert level. They also sensed Leon and his group and noticed they were the only ones there.

The people arrived to the Main hall. Flint, Benji and Chloe quickly cleaned everything up and changed clothes to look more professional. They might even get a promotion from capturing a fortress so they had to look proper.

The doors to the hall were blown open. A Woman with dark blue hair and eyes, enters first. She wore comfortable clothing and held a sheathed sword in her hand.

The other cultivators follows behind her.

The woman coldly asked "So it is only you four?"

Flint was happy and confident, he answered "Yes, we did all my ourselves."

"I see." The woman smashed the sword into th ground and an imposing aura spread. "Tell me the truth and I may let you live."

"What truth we just told-" Benji stopped speaking as the pressure grew on him.

The woman spoke, "Do you expect me to believe a bunch of kids with the highest cultivator at Level four summoning teacher took Out a whole fortress. Outside a large ice magic spell was seen that was at least as strong as a peak Greenstar beast's."

When the three heard that they were clueless. They just stared at her for a while wondering what she was talking about.

The lady was suprised they genuinely didn't know about it.

"Outside your fortress a strong ice magic was sued to kill the leader of the fortress. The spell's casting site is this fortress."

The three turned to look at Leon when hearing that was how the leader died.

Leon was standing casually. On the side. Seeing the kids look at him the Lightning Army cultivators turned to look at him as well.

Leon answered while a bit embarrassed, "When I was fighting the leader I noticed he was abit to strong for me."

The woman scorned. He was at Level three summoning expert. He was almost a realm above you. A bit is too much of an understatement.

Leon saw this and Changed what he was saying "He was way stronger then me. None of my methods were working. I was about to die when an Ice cultivator came by. He must have seen that I was from the Ice Continent and decided to save me. He said he had a grudge and didn't need a thanks and left."

The lady nodded "So do you have any proof of this mysterious ice cultivators existence?"

"No, but he told me his name was Talon."

The women's eyes shrunk in surprise. She nodded. "Fine, we will believe you did it. I think I know who this Talon person you are talking about. The army will make sure it was him and then you will be awarded."

The three went back to being happy. The lady then told one of her cultivators something who started leaving the fortress and another went to the shield formation.

"In a few hours we will have made sure you are telling the truth. So go to rest you must be tired." The lady had gotten a bit softer now. She started be live they actually did it.

Leon and the other three left. Flint and Benji kept on asking Leon what happened in the fight and Leon made up a story and kept on telling it.

Back in his room Leon laughed. Talon was someone he met in his past life. He was a peak summoning expert at the moment. Leon knew this as it was at around this time Talon saved his future disciple in the War Field. The disciple was also form the ice continent and so had white hair.

Leon was sure Talon would agree when they ask if he saved someone recently. Talon was the busy type who didn't talk much so he was sure they would pass without an issue.

A few hours later the cultivator returned. He told the woman that Talon said he had saved someone today.

The lady believe Leon's story and called them to the hall. She finally introduced herself "My name is Kaira. I am a Lieutenant in the Lightning Army."

"You all will get ten thousand Battle Merits. You can redeem those merits for materials or for a rank up in position."

Benji asked "What position can I rank up to using all my merits?"

"You could reach squad leader."

"I'll do it!"

Kaira nodded "What about you three?"

Leon spoke "I want to redeem it for materials."

The other two nodded.

"Very well, go to the Lightning Army base to redeem them."

Benji was given a uniform and a new badge.

Leon said he was leaving for the Lightning Army base. Flint and Chloe wanted to follow him but he said he was going to take a detour on the way. He told them a meeting up spot on the map and left

Leon went to the right of the fortress. The key to the Ephemeral Lightning Great Library was coming. The key had a consciousness and was zooming through the atmosphere in this direction.

In Leon's Past life the key had wrecked havoc through the War Field. It was unstoppable by any of the barriers or shields.

The key would come and smash this Fortress's barrier. It would be low enough to go through the walls and destroyed the fortress completely.

The People on this fortress spread the news. As the key broke more and more fortresses everyone knew about it. It was just that no one knew it was the key to a great Library. It was thought to be a beast.

Leon had even tried to capture it but saw he couldn't forcefully contract and found out it was an object. He tried multiple times but failed. Other then capturing people would also fight among themselves making it even more difficult.

It wasn't until four peak summoning masters came and used a secret technique to seal the supposed beast, it was then the truth was revealed that it was a key. Everyone knew about the Great Library because of Leon. And soon everyone entered it.

The key in his past life appeared years into the future. The fact it appeared now wasn't anything special. It was just that anyone who knows the location of the Ephemeral Lightning Great Library enters the War Field will cause the Key to come to the War Field.

In his past life it was Leon himself who had triggered it but he was unprepared. He had found out the mechanics of the key later in the Great Library as he looked through the books.

This time he was prepared.

Leon had the Dragon take him to the direction the key was coming from. The Dragon could sense the key coming.

At the horizon Leon saw a small lightning Bird moving incredibly fast towrads him. Leon was far from the fortress and the area was one of the more vacant areas on the battle field. This was why Leon had chosen this spot to capture it.

The Dragon used Its Cold Mist Domain. A thick mist spread and formed a wall for the key. The key hit the mist and slowed down a little. It was like it had fallen in water. All the cold mist pushed don it to slow down. The key However kept pushing. It finally was informant of Leon.

Leon had already formed to sealing runic circles specifically made to seal the key in both of his hands. Like capturing a fly Leon clapped his hands with the small lightning Bird was captured in between them closing.

Leon twisted the his hands and pulled them open. The two runic circles spun on his hands and the key was floated between them. Leon closed his hands and this time when he opens them he held the key in his right hand.

Leon kept the key into his spatial ring and started making way to the Lightning Army base. The Great Library was close to it.
