Overcoming The Beast

Leon also jumped out of the window. He saw the beast waiting for him down there he smiled. He summoned the chimera in the air.

The three opponent beast were all at the Greenstar level. Leon's beast averaged a five yellowstar level.

The Pride beast fell a sit was summoned. The tiger head opened its mouth and shot a Diabolic beam at the beast below.

The Landslide bear jumped, as it did the earth rose as a spike with it. It held the top of the spike and the bottom broke of. It then used the rock cone like a stick to bat the chimera away.

The diabolic beam clashed with the cone. The cone broke and the chimera was pushed back into the air. Leon was already taken by the Dragon to watch the battle from above.

The Blood Harpy formed twenty blood spears. All of them were intricately designed. The blades were beautifully carved with curves and a sharp point. The pole of the spears had a carvings on as well.

Leon watched above and was surprised "This isn't the regular Blood Spears spell. What spell is it?"

The Dragon told Leon that it could sense faint traces of Fairy magic.

"Fairy Magic! When did the Blood Harpy cone in contact with fairy magic I need to ask it after this fight."

The spears teleported and appeared next to the earthen beasts. The earth shaker was surprised. It smashed It a tail and the ground rose around it blocking the spears. The leader of the fortress had already jumped on the Raging Volcanic Bull. The bull then used Flame steps to rise into the sky and move away form the battle.

Far away it started casting a spell. The chimera fought with the bear. It didn't bother to go all out, this bear was to weak for that. It would be an insult if it had a difficulty fighting this bear.

Tentacles came out from the shadow underneath and locked onto the bear. The goat head then shot a diabolic beam from the center of Its two horns.

The bear was trapped and couldn't move. It was just about to die. The earth suddenly broke open and lava erupted out. The shadow tentacles broke and the bear was able to avoid getting hit by that beam directly, it did have the beam hit its shoulder.

Both the chimera and the Blood Harpy dodged the lava pillar. The harpy was just controlling the spears to attack the variant earth shaker as she dodged attacks. She didn't have much control over the spears at first but was getting better quickly.

The Blood Harpy had the spears pierce the earth shaker and then had them attack the Raging Volcanic Bull.

The chimera's pride wouldn't allow it be slower then the Harpy. So it had the Dragon Snake tail head also shoot a diabolic beam with the tiger head. As two of the heads worked together the beam shot was much faster and stronger. The Landslide Bear couldn't dodge and was hit.

The leader was hurt. Two of his beast had just died. His soul book appeared and two pages tore off and disappeared. He looked angry and summoned another beast.

A large beast came out from underneath the place the Raging Volcanic Bull was. A gigantic Mammoth Like beast broke out. It roared and stamped its legs. It was as taller them the fortress walls. It was around two hundred meters tall.

It had blue tusks and brown fur. A chilly wind spread out from its body.

Leon was surprised seeing the beast "An Ancient Arctic Mammoth! It should be his strongest beast."

Earlier the Raging Volcanic Bull was the strongest with a cultivation of four Greenstars. Now the Mammoth came in with five Greenstars and was a star higher in voidstars.

The Mammmoth stamped its leg down. Large ice pointed pillars rose towards the chimera and Blood Harpy. The two beast dodged. The killers still continued and destroyed part of the fortress wall.

The Blood Harpy changed targets to the Mammoth. The Chimera couldn't fight a two vs one. On a beast slightly stronger then it. It moved to attack the Raging Volcanic Bull.

Tentacles rise from its shadow and tried to grab the Bull. The bull swerved and dodged. Large fire balls papered above it. The fire balls hit and broke the tentacles. The Dragon Snake tail head started shooting Frost Rays.

The leader saw the chimera and couldn't help but say "What is this beast, I've never seen it before! It has multiple heads as well! This abomination!"

He then shouted "Why are you attacking us? You don't seem to be from the Lightning Army. Why not join us! We will give you a better position and resources."

Leon ignored the talk. He didn't hate the Earth continent. It was just that the key to appear tomorrow and he had to prepare. Capturing this fortress was a step he had to take.

The leader had already tried to call for backup through a communication talisman. However there was something blocking the message from going. This was fine by a spell from the Blood Harpy. It was a spell that was in the spell book after its evolution.

The Mammoth had changed. It was now had an armor of Ice on its body. It then shot spikes from the air and ground.

The Harpy was dodging all of the ice spikes. But a few still scratched its body. The wound healed but its body had patches of Ice on it.

Finally enough wounds were made on the Mammoth. The harpy used multi cast and casted three spells together. Other then the Stronger Blood Spears spell, which was in continuous casting by the spell book, it cast Blood Chains and Heart Crush.

Blood Chains grew out of the Mammoths wounds and started to bind it's body. The Spears still continued to cause wounds.

The Mammoth stopped moving. It felt it's heart get heavy. Something was squeezing it.

The leader saw this. He was already busy with the Chimera but made the decision of running away. He unsummoned the Mammoth and had the Raging Volcanic Bull run away.

The chimera wasn't having any of that. It chased after without Leon's order. Leon felt the fight had gone for long enough. The Dragon appeared from underneath him. It opened its mouth and a ring of Ice energy shot out. It then disappeared.

This ring was the Ice Dragon's Roar Leon had worked so hard for. The ring of energy grew larger and larger. It eventually went into the ground freezing. The ring then zoomed pass the chimera and the leader on his Bull. The chimera was fine But it stopped and started returning. The Leader and his Bull had completely turned into ice.

"So that's a weaker version of the skill Ice Dragon's Roar. Sadly, it would have been useless against the Capricon beast." Leon said as he saw A hundred kilometer long cone of Ice form in front of him.

The roar was silent. It just continued to transform everything in the ring into ice. It moved incredibly fast as well. It was a dangerous skill.

Leon had the Dragon remove the ice. What was left was a large semi cone snapped hole in the ground. Leon had the Dragon leave him on the Fortress wall. The Dragon then followed in ghost form. Cultivators that were nearby had long been alerted by the fight. Some had even seen the ice. Many started running to the fortress.

Leon walked into the fortresses main hall an deactivated a runic formation. It was shield to protect form intruders. Leon knew about this formation so he wanted to do everything silently. The formation could be only used once a week so it wasn't as useful.

Other then that he destroyed a deconstruct formation that could be remotely activated.

The other three found Leon in the main hall and assumed he defeated the leader. They started telling Leon how they fought and cleared the fortress.

"We are going to get so many Battle Merits! The fortress is still intact and there are even resources in storage."

As everyone thought how to celebrate Leon said, "We still need to change the flags on the fortress and tell the Lighning Army our coordinates. I've activated the shield formation in the fortress it can protect form a Bluestar beasts attack."

So that was what Leon was doing. The three excited ran out and started changing the flags. Our side they could see a large Dome of brown energy protect them. This only made them happier.
