Overcoming The Beast

Space split open and Leon was thrown out. Leon landed on his head in the sand. He looked around and saw the night sky and an empty desert.

He summoned the Cold Mist Ghost Dragon and had it take him to the Pheoinx egg.

The Dragon understood the urgency. It flew through the sky and zoomed in the Desert. It flew through a sandstorm tearing it apart and then reached the volcano. Leon jumped off and dived into the magma. He then swam underneath looking for the egg.

Leon felt a feeling that almost made him cry. The Phoenix egg was still there. Leon quickly took it back into his skull book and got out of the magma. He summoned his other beast as well.

His two soul books appeared and the much larger party of beast appeared. The Blood Harpy appeared the air and saw the Phoenix egg for the first time.

The chimera didn't seem to care as much. It just played down at the side and slept. The two new recruits were very interested. They liked the Phoenix egg a lot and kept flying around it.

The Dragon came down and turned back into a snake. It also greeted the Phoenix egg.

The Phoenix as a heavenly beast was able to communicate while an egg. It cried and a wave of Fire energy covered everyone. It was excited.

Leon saw that the egg wasn't taken so thought there was something wrong with his theory.

"Did that person come even later? Well whatever I won't let this egg be alone anymore." Leon sent all the beasts and egg back into the Soul book other then the Dragon. Which was on his head as a snake.

Leon then left quickly climbed out of the volcano and made his way to the Flamesmith Clan. It had been around a year since he had last seen Pace. He hadn't seen his parents for even longer.

"Right, I need to figure out what's up with Clyde and Anastasia."

As he thought of Anastasia, Leon remembered "Isn't Cesar going to awaken his Lonely Venom Spider this awakening ceremony."

Leon then thought for a bit and did the maths. "The awakening ceremony is tomorrow! Anastasia is quite Lucky I'll be making it in time to save her."

Leon then walked the rest of the way. He thought about how he was going to explain where he went.

"Should I say I was kidnapped? By who and why? To many questions pop up."

"I got it! I'll say I was suddenly teleported away to the other side of the continent. I then slowly made my way here! I'll blame the teleportation to the Island crashing! Genius!"

"I can't really summon any of my beast other then the Dragon though. The Chimera can transform into a Fire Tiger again the Blood Harpy can't..."

"Well whatever I'll just dodge the questions."

He changed back to his disguised appearance as he grew close to the town. His hair turned black and eyes as well.

Leon reached the town gates. They were still guardless like always. He walked in and went to the Flamesmith Clan gates. He showed his clan token which he still had and entered.

Inside he went straight to his house. It was already night. Leon opened his door and saw his parents eating dinner.

They both turned and saw Leon. They both stood up and stared. They even looked at each other to make sure they weren't dreaming. Leon's mother ran to Leon. She gave him a big hug. Leon's father also followed.

Leon's mother started crying tears of joy, "Leon where were you?"

Leon went with his brilliant plan and explained it to his parents. His parents didn't believe him at all.

"You're telling me you were teleported?" Leon's parent knew little about teleportation. They decided to ask their uncles and parents about it later. They just celebrated that Leon returned.

Leon was happy as well.

His father said, "Tomorrow is the awakening ceremony. You can go and watch it, or you can go with your mother to your grand parents house."

"Grand parents? Grand father and grand mother returned?" Leon said with excitement.

"Yes they have, You should rest after such a long journey."

"Wait I should go tell Pace first. I haven't see him for so long. I even left without saying anything, he must be so worried."

Leon's mother nodded "You should go, that boy was so worried and blamed himself for your disappearance. He searched the whole Bloodsea city and bowed to us asking for forgiveness."

Leon felt a bit touched and left for pace's house. As he walked to the door, Pace came to the door behind him. Pace was holding a spatial bag. He dropped it to the ground and hugged Leon.

"I knew you were alive. Great! come in, tell me what happened." Leon went and kept the story consistent. He told with much detail how he fought beast and met people. He even talked about his beast growing and braking through to the summoning teacher realm.

"You're at that summoning teacher realm now! I'm only at the first level of summoning expert! I really have been slacking off."

Leon and Pace chatted through the night.

Pace told him that after he disappeared someone broke into the Bloodling Clan and stole from the treasury.

"The whole city was relied up. Eventually, the culprit was found to be that white haired guy I told you about."

"What him?! Did they ever capture him?"

"No his trail disappeared. No one had ever seen him before."

"Anything else happened?"

"Oh right! The three continental competiton's date has changed."

"What? When is it?"

"Its in a year now rather then three years. It was so sudden, the roundtable of Blood, council of Fire and the Monarch of Nature all agreed on the date."

"What so soon! I need to start preparing."

"You don't really have time. After the awakening ceremony the Council of Fire will send airsh.i.p.s through the continent to get everyone talented. Then a serious of competitions will be held for the national team."

"That's way to early, I'll still try though, let's see how far I make it."

"By the next competition in five years you'll still be under the age limit of twenty and easily make the team."

Leon and Boy talked a bit longer. Leon then left and went back to his home. He laid in his bed and thought.

"The competition had been made earlier must like my last life. It was through Pandora's manipulation. They wanted the competition earlier so they could steal a branch of the Life Tree in the Nature continent."

"I didn't get to participate in my last life. But I'll get to this time. I'll win the whole completion and get the egg of the constellation beast Scorpio."

"It was Flint who had won the competition in my last life. He will be even stronger now he went to the Ephemeral Lightning Great Library. I will be seeing him again in a year. Sadly, he won't be winning."

Leon went slept the last few hours of the night.
