Odrunn's log Day 23.

Hey dad, my training is great and I've started losing my fats, I bet I'm really handsome now and a lot of girls would want to date me once I escape from this place. Did you know, my appetite increased again, but with that increase in appetite my strength had increased too.

I accidentally pushed down a boulder because I was resting on it. It felt so good! I can't believe that I'm that strong now. But no matter how strong I get, it seems I just can't beat boss! Although his strength is less than mine it seems like he still can beat me in a fight anytime. Our record is at 135 to 0, needless to say I'm still at 0. But one day the number will be 1 and then I will win!

Odrunn's log day 53.

Today boss increased the weight of my training yet again. On the other hand, he promised me that once we clear this part of the training he'd give me an additional 1 hour of sleep. I'm so excited for it, I stopped hunting the ox beasts and decided to go for the beasts on the east mountains, I really had my a.s.s handed to me, those buggers are so quick, I couldn't even catch up to them, not one bit.

I gave up and went back to eat the ox beast again, since they were so plentiful. I should probably catch a couple more tomorrow, pretty soon the dune worm would come out to hunt and it wouldn't be safe.

Soli is really a genius, her control in her ability has increased again, she's approaching a high level tank class in power. Boss had been asking her to aim for pinpoint accuracy instead of pure power like she had been doing before, the goal was to carry a rock and run towards her and she has to only freeze the ground under my feet to let me fall, I'm starting to be demoralised, whether it's the fast beasts or Soli, I just can't touch them, I have to be faster and not just blindly charge in.

Odrunn's log day 87

Hey Dad, I feel myself getting stronger day by day, right now Boss has given up on using weights on me, he told me that just by using the weights here won't have an effect on having me build strength, in the recent days we have only been sparring and doing other forms of training.

I managed to catch multiple beasts from the East but it takes too much effort to catch them. As for training with Soli, her control is as strong as always however, I found a way to beat her, instead of guessing where she will freeze and how to avoid it, I just have to step into the ground hard enough to break through the ice and rocks, that way I have more footing.

Boss said that it was a really stupid straightforward move and only I could come up with it, but he also said that if it works it's not stupid.

Tomorrow boss asked me to have a spar with him, as long as I managed to touch him once, I would have considered to have passed the training and I'll finally have a break!

Odrunn's log day 88.

It took the entire day, but I have finally managed to touch Boss and win! As usual, he was really quick and I had constantly failed all the way until it was close to the end. I realised, since I could break the ground to gain footing, I could break the ground to make him lose his footing too. When he was about to escape, I slammed the floor hard with my foot and it made him have difficulty to escape. I finally tagged him after such a long time!

I'm so happy! I'm so excited! I can finally rest and sleep in for a bit. Dad, please wait, once the time comes and I leave this place, I'll head over to visit and show the world Odrunn Braveflight is not the coward he used to be.

"Okay, we'll take a break and not train today. I'll go out and look for more food, you can rest here. But all of you still have to be on your guard, you won't know what will happen so don't just zone out."

Z told Odrunn and Soli, as he left the caves leaving the duo behind cheering at the thought of having a rest day. Z took a very familiar route to the eastern mountains, the cave wasn't at all huge, but it was large enough to host a variety of beasts that are trapped underground. He soon came face to face with the Gazelle beasts that were hopping around from point to point. The beasts were so quick, that with untrained eyes you wouldn't be able to even catch their movements.

Watching his prey hop silently, he soon found a pattern with one of the gazelle, Z threw his dagger at an empty space, just before the gazelle hopped into it and had its neck pierced through by the dagger, falling onto the ground twitching as it gasped for its last breath. Z picked up the gazelle and went back on his way to the cave.

The journey back felt shorter, even though he had an additional load of a gazelle on his back. As he was admiring the view, he seemed to notice a huge dune worm in the distance.

"Shit, I have to hurry back and avoid the worm! wait... it's dead?"

Z dashed full speed towards the dune worm that was bleeding out on the ground, its huge body had been squished to death by something, or someone. Z instinctively felt something amiss as he dropped the gazelle and dashed straight back to the cave.
