Reincarnation: Love After Death

"Since you're the sad person right now, let me pay for our drinks." Akira said.

"Nooope!" Popping the "p" sound, "I'll pay for all of this!" Vainos insisted and reached for his wallet in his back pocket.

As he opened his wallet, Akira saw a picture of a woman. A woman who looks like she's in her 20s, strawberry blond hair, pointy nose, green alluring eyes, pink lips, with little freckles on her cheeks.

The woman in the picture looks stunning.

She couldn't resist her curiousity so she asked Vainos about it, "Who's that?"

"Just someone." Vainos answered as he pay for their drinks, then he stood up and hurriedly exited the hotel's bar.

Akira followed him and offered to support Vainos because he's starting to wobble.

Vainos signalled to Akira that he can manage and said, "Just let me be. I want to be alone."

"But something might happen to you."

Vainos laughed bitterly. "Like what?! I'm already dead. Like a looooong time ago. Even during the time that I was alive because..."

Then he passed out.

'If your heart has been taken away from you, dead or alive, you won't feel the difference.'

Akira managed to bring Vainos to his hotel room.

She put him into bed, removed his shoes and loosened his necktie.

Before she left the room, she looked at him one last time and whispered, "She was never real. And I hope you'll realize it before it's too late."

Then she left him alone.
