Scarlet's Awakening

"Anyway, I already planned to let the queen win." He replied.

Aqua snapped towards Talon, her expression a bit worried. "The queen wouldn't like that."

Talon didn't reply. His initial goal was to become her punching bag anyway. If the queen doesn't have the intention of punishing him then he will punish himself instead.

Scarlet stopped in the middle of the training grounds then summoned Navy before her.

"You called for me, mistress?" Navy asked, blinking her large blue green eyes innocently while she hover effortlessly not too close to her face.

"Yes. Before I ask you my main question, let me ask if they can see you?"

Navy grinned, "No, mistress. Only you have the ability to see me, of course. I'm your very exclusive secretary!"

"Good." She smiled, feeling relieved since it's better that they have no idea about Navy's existence, or else it will result to questions and of course, doubts. "Anyway, do you have the data I requested from you?"

Navy nodded her head. "Yes."

"Then show them to me... All of them."

Navy obeyed her orders and flicked her wrist in the air, several windows immediately appeared before them, and all of the windows were containing information about Talon's fighting style and combat experiences these past few years.

Scarlet skimmed her eyes across the huge amount of information presented before her and frowned, unsatisfied. "Talon's going to be my sparring partner hence it's apparent that he will not use all of his killing techniques against me. Navy, narrow everything down, will you? I want a 90% prediction report."

Navy obeyed her orders immediately. "Very well, mistress." She flicked her wrist again and a virtual computer keyboard appeared before her little body, "Narrowing everything down as you command…"

Navy's fingers glided into the keyboard like a hacking wizard. She typed effortlessly, her eyes looking only at the running digits in the virtual screens in front of them. The virtual screens started to reduce in numbers until only one virtual screen remained. Afterwards, Navy looked at her with a happy expression, seemingly pleased with herself and her efficient work.

"Done!" she proudly declared.

Scarlet smiled and patted Navy's little head with her index finger. "Good work," she said and silently went over the prediction report Navy made for her, as she requested.

Seconds went by and Navy curiously watch her mistress who was attentively reading the report. "Did I do everything right, mistress?" she asked nervously.

Scarlet looked at Navy, already finished reading everything and she nodded approvingly at her. "Yes... Thanks to you, I know what to do now." She answered, dismissing the windows in front of her.

Navy blushed. "I'm delighted I was of use then."

"Hmn. Maintain this performance and I will generously reward you according to your achievements." Scarlet rolled her shoulders around and stretched her neck. "Well then… let's start warming up."

"Un!" Navy excitedly nodded.

Scarlet closed her eyes and recalled all of her experiences while conjuring her magic from the first two times, first was in the cave and second was when she created Navy.

Since Scarlet already planned to use her creation magic in the first place, she has to try using it to see if she can do it effortlessly as she expected her performance would result to. Closing her eyes, she tried imagining a gun, a pistol to be exact and willed her mind to create it on her hand. When she opened her eyes, she saw her right hand glowing a bright bluish light. She opened her palms and a handgun appeared on her hand out of thin air.

Scarlet grinned, wrapping her fingers around the grip of the pistol, excitement flooding her c.h.e.s.t. Oh my God! She can't believe it… She really created a gun out of nothing just by vividly thinking about it.

When she was young she researched about guns because of curiosity. She's learned a lot about it online through video tutorials and many source materials like books on how to use a guns and many more. She acc.u.mulated enough knowledge about it but she lacked the actual experience since she never visited a shooting range before.

Now that she's holding the actual thing on her hand, she wanted to check if it works the same way as the guns in her world. The first thing she checked was the magazine inside it and like she imagined, it has rounds inside it, 18 rounds to be exact.

"Navy," she called out, inserting the magazine inside the pistol before pulling the slide back slightly to put a bullet on the chamber like an expert.

"Yes, mistress?"

"Make 3 humanoid targets for me please. 25 meters, 50 meters and 91 meters away from where I'm standing."

Navy obeyed immediately, "Yes, mistress." then instantly, two targets appeared exactly as she instructed. "I made them from wood, mistress."

Aqua and Talon was watching their queen with curiosity, especially the peculiar silver boomerang she was holding in her hand.

"What do you think her majesty is doing with that?" Aqua asked Talon in a whisper, eyeing the silver boomerang.

"I don't have a clue as well." Talon replied, "Let's just watch and wait what her majesty will do next. I think we will witness the answers by ourselves if we stay quiet and watch from the sidelines."

Aqua glanced at Talon and nodded in agreement to his words, "You're right. I wonder how she will use it. Perhaps it's a magic wand?"

Talon shrugged, "I don't know… Perhaps?"

Suddenly, wooden targets appeared on the far end of the arena.

"I really think it's a wand." Aqua whispered, looking back and forth at Scarlet and the targets. "It can't be a weapon similar to a sword if the targets are that far away."

Talon nodded, agreeing to her assessment. "I wonder how she's going to use that wand." He murmured, still watching Scarlet when she suddenly lifted her right hand and aiming the peculiar weapon towards the nearest target. From afar, they saw Scarlet's lips moving. Like she was spouting some incantation or something.

Then, her black eyes turn golden in color.

"Semi auto mode, firing 5 rounds." Scarlet murmured then pulled the trigger.
