Scarlet's Awakening

Talon's eyes widen in surprise. He didn't know Scarlet's weapon had three functions.

Number one: the semi-auto mode which fires a single bullet upon pulling the trigger;

Number two: the bullet burst double tap mode which fires two bullets from a single pull of the trigger; and lastly…

Number three: the full auto mode that fires an unlimited number of bullets by pulling the trigger for a long time until the magazine runs out of ammunition.

"Hup! Hup!" Talon evaded the bullets with all his might. He would've lost an arm if his reflexes weren't fast enough. However Scarlet continued to follow him in every direction he turned to, her index finger still pulling on the trigger and firing at him without ceasing.

Scarlet jumped backwards, creating some distance between them and Talon was starting to feel a little worn out as he kept evading the bullets without stopping. He used his dagger to block some of the bullets aimed at his vital points as he pressed onwards. He received a lot of cuts all over his body, however he didn't stop running.

Scarlet's a formidable opponent in a long distance fight. And a distanced fight is unfavorable for an assassin who doesn't use ranged weapons like him. If he doesn't get close to her before his strength runs out, he will likely lose this fight.

Seeing the distress on Talon's face, the corner of Scarlet's lips quirked up. 'Wear him out until he gets tired to fight back', that was the first step of her plan. If he keeps coming at her like this, she knows he will reach her. In fact, he's almost there, even though his speed was greatly hampered down in the meantime, since he was occupied with evading her bullets. She wasn't afraid of him getting close. So Scarlet stopped retreating backwards until Talon reached her, he immediately swung his dagger at her without hesitation and she converted the gun on her right dominant hand into a katana, blocking his dagger before it could reach her pretty face.

"That was close…" Scarlet grinned, pushing him away before leaping backwards to gain some distance between them again. She dropped the empty magazine to the ground, reloading her gun in a flash before she aimed at him and pulled the trigger. Talon was quick to run away, he took a sharp turn to the right and threw his dagger at her. Scarlet deflected it using her katana and then suddenly Talon was in front of her. He used the dagger to distract her for a moment to get close to her but Scarlet was fast to react. Shing! His dagger collided with her katana.

Talon threw a punch to her gut and Scarlet jumped in the air, landing behind him before blocking his swinging arm with her own arm. She almost got slashed.

"I see that you're getting serious." Scarlet quickly turned around and blocked another assault from him using the katana as her shield. Talon didn't reply to her words and threw another deadly slash towards her. Scarlet slightly evaded the attack with ease and aimed the gun to his c.h.e.s.t.

Brrrr!

To some extent, Talon dodged the bullet but earned a scr.a.p.ed on his shoulder. He winced in pain, holding his injury before countering an attack by throwing 4 needles towards her. Scarlet slashed them, one by one mid-air using the katana then pulled the trigger, returning fire again.

Talon used the opportunity to get close to her using his remaining strength. He caught her hand that was holding the gun, flinging her over his shoulder straight down to the ground. Scarlet landed hard on her back but she didn't groan in pain or panicked, she didn't have time to do those things since she immediately rolled to the side as Talon stabbed the ground where her head once lay with force, caving the ground. Scarlet blocked the dagger being stabbed down to her head with her katana and fired at his own head. Talon immediately fling his head to the right, dodging the bullets and backed away since the gun was still in full auto mode.

Scarlet pushed her body up with her palms before jumping up on her feet with a single motion. "That almost got me... Impressive." She grinned.

Talon picked the dagger he threw at her a while ago. Now, he had two daggers on his hands once again.

"I must say, my queen…" He started, playing the daggers in his hands simultaneously with skill. "You're fighting ability didn't aged a day."

"Thank you. That's all I want to gain in this fight… Well then, shall we end this?"

Talon immediately made his final stance. Ready to use his last strength in a single attack. "Yes."

After hearing the determination in his voice, Scarlet grinned with excitement. "Good."

Talon threw all his strength on his feet, charging straight to her with his dagger acting like a spear in his hand. Scarlet let go both her weapons, letting them fall to the ground with a loud thud.

"My queen!" Aqua shouted in panic. She thought Scarlet was going to surrender, but she didn't.

Scarlet slightly dodged the dagger by tilting her head to side, catching his arm with ease on one hand and his collar on the other hand, stopping his momentum before unexpectedly leaping in the air, wrapping her legs around his neck and bringing him down to ground in a solid lock.

Talon's eyes widen when Scarlet created another loaded hand gun on her hand out of thin air and fired two bullets on the ground beside his face making him frozen still on the ground before aiming the scary thing on his face.

With a triumphant smirk on her face, Scarlet tilted her head to the side. "Still wanna fight?"

"…Not anymore." Talon raised both of his hands in surrender, his head still wrapped around her legs making him blush profusely when her saw her fairly smooth t.h.i.g.hs being revealed under her white skirt.

Oblivious of her unlady like image, Scarlet let go of Talon's head before standing up like nothing happened. "Good."
