Scythe, Sword And Steel

As the night fell, the army decided to rest for a while. Campfires were set all over the streets, lighting up cars, tires, barrels, or anything that could light fire. Gusion sat beside Lesley, as she had fallen asleep. He carefully stroked her smooth hair, and rested her head in his l.a.p. All the soldiers went to sleep.

The next day, Gusion and Lesley woke up. The sun wasn't so visible, as smoke and ashes covered the sky. Gusion gave Lesley a kiss on her forehead.

"Morning Les." Gusion whispered.

"Morning Gus." she replied.

As he stood up, he noticed that everyone was gone. It was only the two of them on the area.

"Huh? Where are the others?"

Suddenly, they saw Alucard and Granger biking towards them.

"Hey, have you seen Harith anywhere?" Alucard asked.

"What are you guys talking about?" Lesley asked. "The three of you slept next to each other."

"Then where is he....."

Harith came blasting from out of nowhere. His back hit a brick wall hard, as he fell down onto the ground. The four heroes came running towards him.

"Harith, Harith!!! What's going on?" Alucard asked.

"T-Th-Tham-Thamuz!!!"

Harith was pointing up in the air. To the heroes' surprise, Thamuz had turned into a giant flaming demon. Bodies of Franco's men were scattered all over the road. On top of the buildings, they saw the other heroes trying to fight him off. Thamuz had set several buildings on fire, and destroyed a dozen of them.

"How did he become a badass flaming skull?" Granger asked.

"We'll know that later." Gusion replied, who drew his blade and started running.

Gusion jumped very high up in the air, using all his speed and momentum to stab Thamuz. His metal body did not do anything.

"I... Burn!!!!!!"

Gusion dodged his flaming scythe, as Thamuz swinged it hard, slicing another building in half. The soles of Gusion's boots got burned. He picked Ruby off the ground, who was about to get crushed by a 10-storey building.

"Ruby, are you alright?" Gusion asked.

"Onee-sama..."

"You'll be fine. Stay here."

Gusion left Ruby along with Lesley, who was firing several bullets at him. Ruby had several burns on her arms and legs. She had several bruises on her face too. Granger and Alucard were taking care of Harith's wounds at that time.

"This city, will burn!!!!!!!" Thamuz shouted.

"No you don't!!!"

Rooney fired a shot from his watergun, but before the water could even reach Thamuz, it had already evaporated. Thamuz laughed hardly, and snapped his weapon from his hands. Clint and Layla fought bravely, but Thamuz was absorbing their attacks.

"Die!!!!"

Thamuz split another building in half, where the two of them were standing at. They quickly jumped to another building, and landed hard.

"Screw this. Thamuz is too powerf..."

"Enhancement... Death Destroyer!!!"

"R-Ruby-chan?!"

Ruby rose up from her feet once again. Her hair turned white, her eyes was glowing red, and she was floating up in the air. She had turned to a demoness, as her scythe grown bigger.

"R-Ruby-chan!!! Do you hear me??!!" Gusion shouted.

Ruby didn't reply. She just flied to the roof and started attacking Thamuz. Thamuz was losing his balance, as Ruby delivered such strong blows. Suddenly, Thamuz used his scythes, and smashed Ruby hard through the buildings. As the buildings collapsed, Gusion saw Ruby, standing up in the air like nothing happened.

"W-What? How are you still alive???" Thamuz asked.

Ruby wasn't talking. She raised up her hand, and she summoned some of Franco's dead soldiers back to life. Gusion's eyes widened as he has never seen Ruby in this kind of form. The zombies jumped onto Thamuz's back and started scratching him. Thamuz began laughing harder and harder as the zombies scratched him.

"What? Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!! Whahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!! What do you think you're doing??? I don't have a brain! I'm metal! They can't eat me!" Thamuz said.

"They're draining your energy." Ruby replied.

When Thamuz looked at his body, he noticed that the flames became weaker. The lava in his scythes had cooled down into a giant rock.

"No, no!!! This can't be!"

"My turn."

Before Ruby could finish Thamuz off, she suddenly went back to normal, and passed out before being able to attack. Gusion catched her in mid air, as she descended fast. He laid her body next to Harith's. Thamuz was already unstoppable as Ruby has been defeated. All of a sudden, a white horse slashed through his body, lightning fast. Thamuz fell down on the ground, and shrinked back to his normal size.

"Sorry I'm late!" Leomord shouted.

"L-Leo??? Is that you??????" Gusion asked.

"It's us Paxley." Lunox said.

Leomord and Lunox surprised them. Slowly and slowly, Lunox's body started to fade away.

"You're on your own now Leo. Good luck!" Lunox winked.

"Yes, your majesty." he bowed.

"What? Did she disappear???"

"Lunox is in the Maze of Minos. She only used her power to guide me here."

"I thought you were with Vexana???"

"The real me is with Vexana. I've been stuck in despair in that place."

"So you're here to help?"

"Yeah. Now let's go beat Selena!"
