Scythe, Sword And Steel

Ruby led the three to a nearby abandoned campsite. Alucard and Lesley gathered sticks while Ruby gathered stones. Gusion was still unconscious lying on Lesley's l.a.p. They made a fire for the night, as the surroundings were still pitch black.

"I'm gonna stay here with you guys for the night. I'm sorry to disturb you guys." Ruby said.

"Oh, we should be thanking you Ruby." Lesley said. "You saved our lives after all".

Ruby still refused to talk to Alucard who kept on trying to make up with her. After a moment, Gusion woke up after losing his conscience for hours.

"Ah! Where am I?" Gusion shouted.

"You fell asleep silly. You need some rest. Lesley said."

Ruby recognized Gusion's face as he woke up. She was familiar with his voice too.

"Paxley?" she said."You're a Paxley right?"

Gusion was confused. He stared at Ruby as she smiled to him.

"How do you know me? Who are you?"He asked.

"I guess you're not familiar with me. I'm Ruby Scarlet. I think we've met before Paxley."

"I'm Gusion Paxley. Sorry, but I don't remember meeting up with you before." he said.

Ruby stood up, sat beside him and gave him a warn hug.

"You saved my life too before. I was ambushed by a thief and you saved me."

"Thief? Ambush? I dont remember exactly."

"You used dark magic to fight that criminal, then you used fire magic to drive him away. You even called yourself the Moonlight Sonata. Your hair used to be white back then.

"Now I remember! In Maplewood Forest right?" he asked.

Ruby started to smile even more. "Yes! You do remember me!"

"Hey, you were that cute little cat girl right?" he said.

"You don't have to call me cute." Ruby starts blushing." And my cat ears aren't even that visible.

Alucard started laughing. "LOLICON ALERT! It seems you have a thing for small girls do you?"

Ruby threw a rock at Alucard "How dare you call me small! I really hate you Alucard." Ruby grunted.

"Hey Gusion, you are a cat lover right? I remember how you saved a kitten then you let it stay in our barracks for a day." Lesley said.

"H-Hey you don't have to bring that up! I returned it to the owner next day anyways."

"You don't have to hide it Gus. I know you have a lot of secrets you're not telling me." Alucard said.

"It's not like that! You see... Uhm..."

The three started chitchatting. Ruby smiled as they would share more of Gusion's secrets. A day of blood and laughter.

"Then Gusion fell down the stairs then he said, Hey! You didn't see anything!" And they started laughing harder.

"You guys don't seem to be so bad after all. Where were you going anyways?" Ruby asked.

Gusion took out his map and said, "You see this city over here? That's where we're going. We were only passing through this forest to go there."

"Antoinere huh? I wish I had plans like you guys. I'm stuck in this forest killing and killing wolves for months now. I don't even know what to do in my life." she said.

"Do you want to go with us Ruby? You seem to be very lonely in this forest." he said.

"Will you really take me with you?"

"Sure why not?" Gusion said.

Ruby hugged Gusion very tightly in excitement. "Thank you very much!"

"I cant breathe. Hey!"

"She likes you huh? You really are a lolicon Gusion!" Alucard said.

"Stop it man!"

"Ok let's get some rest for today. We'll continue by tommorow morning." Lesley said.

Ruby joins the party of Gusion, Lesley and Alucard. They rest by the fire without fears of wolf attacks. Gusion looks up to the sky gazing at the stars. An imaginary repeating voice calls, "I'll be waiting here in the city". Exhausted and out of mana, he falls asleep. Tommorow is another day.
