Scythe, Sword And Steel

As morning rose, the party started walking again. Hunting wolves and monsters that would dare cross their way. With Ruby's help, the battle against the monsters became significantly easier. Their journey continued for days and days.

Another pack of wolves surrounded them. Hungry and angry as always, they positioned themselves to launch an attack.

"Okay, behind me the three of you. Ready?" Ruby asked.

"Hell Yeah." Gusion replied

"Ready as ever." Lesley said

As the wolves began to attack, they started to attack as well. Ruby danced through the pack of wolves, slash after slash. Alucard cleared the wolves spinning and smashing them with his sword. Lesley fired shot after shot, each of her bullets piercing through the flesh of the beasts. Gusion was behind casting light magic to blind the wolves, helping the others fight more easily. All of sudden, Gusion ran out of mana.

"Damn it! I'm out of mana!"

The wolves sight went back to normal and they started to get angrier. The wolf pack leader howled very loud, calling even more wolves.

"They're too many! I cant even see a thing!" Alucard said.

"Me too! I'm out of ammo!" Lesley said.

"Let's run. This is our only way of survival. The end of the forest is just a kilometer away. We can make it alive! Just run!" Ruby shouted

And so another chase begins. The pack of wolves followed the party as they tried to escape to the end of the forest. When Gusion looked behind, he noticed the other wolves slowing down.

"Hey guys, what's going on? Why are they slowing down?"Gusion asked.

As the others glanced backwards, they noticed the ground was full of magic traps.

"Where did these come from?!"

"Just keep moving!"

And so they kept on running until no more wolves were chasing. They could see light in front of them.

"Light! I see light!"

"Guys we've made it!"

And so the party finally reached the end of the forest. They had finally crossed the unforgiving Dark Forest. Jumping into the green grass, they fell to the ground in excitement.

"Finally! Alucard shouted.

"Guuusioooon!" Lesley knocked Gusion down into the grass while hugging him tightly. "We survived!"

"You guys are too excited, we haven't even reached Antoinere yet." Ruby said.

"Hey guys do you see that?" Alucard pointed out to which seems like a soldier camp.

They started walking towards the camp, wishing they could find help for their supplies. When they got there, it seemed there were no people. They started to explore the area.

"What is this place?" Gusion asked.

"It seems to be an old soldier camp."Lesley said. "This place is deserted."

They started looking inside the buildings. It was filled with sand, dust and webs. They saw a bunch of emergency survival bags in one of the rooms. They had first aid kits, mana bottles, bandages and energy bars.

Lesley took the bandages and wrapped it around Gusion's arm and leg.

"Are you okay Gus?" Lesley asked.

"Yeah. Thanks Les." Gusion replied.

Gusion drank the mana bottles and he was able to use his magic again. Ruby put some of the energy bars on her pockets. Alucard however was looking at something on the top floor of the building.

"What are you looking at Alu? Lesley asked."

Gusion and Ruby climbed up onto the top floor to check what was going on.

"Check that out!" He said.

He was pointing to a big city far away. Some of the clouds were covering the view.

"We're actually near!" Ruby jumped into excitement. "Antoinere, here we come!"

And so Gusion and his party started to walk further, this time into the great city of Antoinere which they could already see with their very eyes. The future is yet to come.
