Ayeon's instruction seemed emotionless as if teaching someone the first step to become a person that would kill without hesitation in the future just like those experts at the top..

Myra's eyes became firm and her shaking arms became steady.

Her blade plunged right through the bandit's head, killing him in an instant. However, even though she had become resolved and firm for what she wants to do and what she must do to achieve it, her face was extremely pale, compared to the other two who had recovered by now.

Ayeon saw this and could only sigh, hoping that it wouldn't have too much of an impact on her except that she must only kill to protect herself and ones who she cares about. He wasn't worried about Sabrina and Alexia as they had recovered quickly.

They entered the carriage and it once again started moving on its wheels.

An ordinary carriage slowly stopped at a distance away from glowing stairs leading up, to a place hidden above the clouds. Close to the stairs, there was a crowd of youths chatting, meditating or relaxing. However, they all came for one thing! And that was to participate in the entrance test to join the Sacred Nurture Academy! It could be seen that the most talented youths of every kingdom had come here from the fact that more of them kept arriving with the passing of time.

There were some who just wanted to test their luck as well, hoping to succeed and have a better future.

After an hour, Ayeon and the three sisters came out of the carriage, while already beforehand gave orders to the carriage driver to head back to the Arcadia Kingdom.

Their appearance didn't attract any attention as Ayeon had taught them 3 Alter Forms. A basic illusion technique that changes one's appearance. It has three random forms every time the user activates it.

Nonetheless the technique itself would be ranked pretty high in the Cloud Continent due to its ever changing forms.

They joined the crowd and tried to stay as close as possible so as to not get lost in the crowded space. After a few minutes, an old man appeared in fromt of the stairs out of thin air, right when the afternoon sun was at its highest.

Ayeon didn't bother to sense the old man's power unless he was one of the core elders in the Sacred Nurture Academy.

"You are all here today to join our Sacred Nurture Academy. However, out of all of you, only 1000 can pass! Sacred Nurture Academy only accepts the best of the best and only about 1000 students every 5 years!"

The old man started speaking.

He continued with a deeper voice, "Now, there are two parts in the entrance test. For now, all you have to do is climb these stairs all the way to the top. The first 1000 that passes will be informed afterwards about the second part.

The higher the stair, the harder it is to be able to step on it. If one cannot support themselves on the stair, they will fall to the ground. You can restart if you fall as long as 1000 spots haven't been taken yet. That's all! Get started!"

He then proceeded to fly over the stairs and soon his figure was hidden by the clouds.

Ayeon looked around and saw people already starting to move towards the stair so he told the three to go ahead, "You three go first. I'll come up after you.."

"Don't come too late ok, you might just miss getting in if that happens."

Sabrina chuckled before leaving them. Alexis and Myra left after saying similar things.

Now.. when should he join to not seem like he outclassed the majority of the people here by a large gap...

Oh! Ayeon's eyes brightened when he saw a couple of people ascending at the same time. Not to mention, there was even a beauty! He quickly followed them and kept pace with the beauty, intending to know her.

Although she had a hood and veil hiding her face, Ayeon could see some hair strands of her beautiful silky forest-green hair. And with those mesmerizing viridian green eyes, it would be hard not to take notice of her. He quickly donned on a robe with a hood to cover his hair and canceled the activated 3 Altar Forms.

"Hey, what's your name? I'm Ayeon by the way!"

Ayeon spoke in a friendly tone.

"Mind your own business. You aren't qualified to know my name!"

The beauty said with some arrogance before speeding up.

Ayeon was surprised and after recovering from it, he saw her back high enough to almost lose her in his sight, so he controlled his spiritual energy using his absolute control and put just the exact amount one needed to step on the stairs, before catching up to her with extreme speed and precision from his previous spot.

"Hey hey, beauties should be a bit more gentle..."

Ayeon said only to receive a punch towards his head. His head dodged by the smallest movement to avoid it.

He sweated.

Ayeon's interest in her was beginning to grow. He ceased his chatter and ascended the stairs together with her, almost in perfect sync. To others, it seemed as if they were moving on to the next stair after the last at the same time. This was mostly due to Ayeon's abnormal senses when it came to perceiving muscle movements of another person.

Of course, Ayeon only did this to ascend with her at the exact same speed.
