Tales Of The Necromancer: Ling Tian

Anna kept explaining the quests while Ling Tian nodded and listened to her explanation.

After a few minutes of listening to Anna, she finally stopped explaining as she had already done all she can explain.

Anna finally left the Adventurers's Guild and Ling Tian heaved a sigh as he couldn't see the beautiful body or face of Anna.

Ling Tian sighed and again and proceeded to stare at the wooden board. The wooden board had iron bordering it. Besides it was people discussing among themselves.

This was the quest board! This where quests are usually posted except for special events. There were numerous paper sheets posted around, this was what you call quest.

First, the quest giver will give information about the quest. Many quests involved escorting, killing, monster hunting and artifact finding. But there are cases where quests orders adventurers to assassinate, which was taboo.

Ling Tian quickly scanned the quest board to see if any quests has caught his eyes,

{Quest Name: Escort Blue Flame Village's Mayor.

Info: Blue Flame Village's Mayor is going to take a visit to Azure Dragon City. Many hate him and had d.e.s.i.r.es to kill him. Your task is to protect the Blue Flame Village's Mayor with your life.

{Quest Name: Kill and Loot.

Info: The Alchemist Guild is requiring a Snowblood Leopard's skin for unknown reasons. Snowblood Leopards are fast and hard to catch, please take caution.

And so forth...

Until now, no quests has gotten the eye of Ling Tian as the rewards were too low, but actually, one quest has caught his eyes.

{Quest Name: Subjugate Goblin Squadron.

Info: According to scouts of the Azure Dragon City, a Goblin Squadron was running havoc. The Goblin Squadron was rumoured to be from the Goblin Empire, the hidden empire of goblins. Help Azure Dragon City eliminate this Goblin Squadron and let Azure Dragon City have a good future.

Reward(s): 50 Gold Coins, and upgrade to Silver Rank Adventurer.}

Ling Tian nodded at the quest. After eliminating the Goblin Squadron, he could resurrect them as undead and they will become his soldiers. He too will get the silver rank adventurer tag. It was like killing two birds with one stone.

Ling Tian took the paper that was embedded on the wooden board by a nail. He walked towards the counter just like Anna said. The man situated at the counter gazed at him and frowned, he said,

"Where's your adventurer's plate? Are you a new commer?"

Ling Tian nodded at the guy.

The guy took out a bronze tag underneath the table where there was a drawer. He gave it to Ling Tian and looked at the quest he took and nodded.

"Take that quest paper, what's the quest? Oh, it's the Subjugate one, very well. Take this item with you, this item records all the monsters you've killed starting now."

Ling Tian nodded and took the pendant he got from the guy situated at the counter. He said,

"Thanks! I hope I will meet you again!"

The man nodded and replied to the young man, Ling Tian,

"You too, I hope I will meet you again, I hope that no unfortunate accidents happen on you as the Adventurer's Guild needs more adventurer!"
