The Adventurer System

Chapter 180 - Live Streaming

Carol entered again to Gin's room, to tell the bad information that they needed to face. "Sir Gin, it's bad. All the adventurers are started to complain."

Gin just looked at her. It took a few seconds before he nodded at her.

"I'm already expecting this." He paused for a while before he added. "I'm sure the other moderators knew about this, what are they suggestion?"

She sighed, then promptly sauntered closer to him. Since the words that spitting out of her mouth were confidential.

"Yeah, they already had a plan with it. However, I couldn't tell if it's gonna work." She doubted as the idea was too soon.

Gin narrowed his brows and slowly asked, "What is it? Tell me more about it."

"Okay, since we don't have any option other than this." She stopped for a moment, then sat in front of him. "The moderators planned to release the big update right now." She murmured.

He was attempted to stand up, as he was shocked at what he heard. Yet, he was still able to calm himself.

He placed his hand on his face while slowly moving it down. "Who had this idea? And what is the reason behind this?"

"All of the moderators, they are favoring you, Sir Gin. You should be grateful." She then placed the white paper on the transparent desk. "Sign this, Sir Gin. This is the only way."

He clicked his tongue, then tugged closer the documents. "Approval for the update?" He mumbled and asked her once again. "How it can help us, Carol?"

"Once we launch the adventurer 2.0, all the adventurers would start to focus on that. Since it's not the usual update that we did. We changed everything, Sir Gin. So all of them was starting to figure out the stuff inside the game."

Or to be more simple, the Adventurer 2.0 was a big update. That means, all the players weren't used to it. Moreover, it could help them to forget the scene that just happened to Grim Draigh.

He slowly kneaded his chis along with a satisfying reaction on his face. "Is that so... It seems it's a good plan. However, I don't think it will easily be let by the other investors."

"Yes, we are all aware of that. But, at least we can minimize the complaint that we are receiving right now." She explained with a polite tone, then bestowed a pen that positioned in her pocket on her chest. "You need to decide, Sir Gin..."

He picked up the pen while thinking carefully. In his mind, he knew Carol for several years and all her suggestion was always based that good for him.

He sighed with relief and didn't hesitate to sign the documents. "Thank you for your hard work, owe you one this time." He lent back the pen, then stood up. "Sorry for giving all the difficult work." He bowed as he was glad to meet this woman.

Carol shook her head the same as her hands. "You don't need to do that, Sir Gin. I'm just doing my job." She hurriedly said. "But, thank you, Sir Gin. For seeing my effort, I'll take my leave so we could finalize the update."

He nodded at her. "Yeah, tell them no one will enter this room. You're the only one who I'm allowing, Carol."

She raised her shoulders and cluelessly nodded at him. "Yes?"

He knew this woman was confused, which means she will going to ask for it. So to avoid that scene, he already spits the reason.

"I'll continue to watch Grim Draigh's expedition, I know it's hiding something than the--"

Ehhk!

Gin couldn't complete his words, as Grim destroyed the drone they launched. "He noticed us..."

On the other hand, the explosive [Great Abula] seemed to pass off. Also, Yumiro landed on the motte surface after slicing the drone in the mid-air.

Bam!

The place was covered by smoke and a large hole that had 15 ft deep was made because of the magic skill that Drymir released.

"Phew! Finally, I spotted this." Yumiro exhaled while seeing the flickering red light vanished. "A fly? Hmm... The fly here is different."

Hippie already her consciousness and footing. So it caught her scrutiny. "I think, it's not a fly, Grim. More likely, that's a camera." She said in a low voice.

"Camera? What is the meaning of that?" He wondered.

"Hmm... I don't know the reason, but its camera is also well known as Spy Fly. This thing is usually used in live streaming or getting video clips. Don't tell me, you're making a live stream right now?!" She cheerfully said, knowing Grim was a popular adventurer. This means tagging along with him gave her a big benefit.

He shook his head with an annoying expression on his face. As Hippie unnoticeably held his hands. "Don't hold my hands, also, I'm not doing live streaming right now."

In the real world, making a live stream would help a player to increase his popularity. On top of that, it could help the player to earn real money. To be exact, receiving a moon shard from the viewer could convert as real money.

1 moon shard is equivalent to 1$, which means receiving 1000 moon shards is equivalent to 1000$.

The highest-paid streamer was Fing, also the #9 global ranker from China.

Hippie was looking at the dark ceiling, as she trying to figure out the situation. "If you're not live streaming right now, that means someone is spying on you." She suggested.

In her mind, Grim was a popular adventurer, so spying by the other adventurers was an ordinary occurrence. But, the downside was, they could steal Grim's video clip and earn money by doing that.

"Spying me, huh? Who are the adventurers behind this." He asked himself and added? "Hippie, I could earn money by doing a live stream?"

She cheerfully nodded. "Of course, that is the number one source of income in this game. The next one is the contract of the offer by being a pro player." She explained.

Why Hippie said that the live streaming was the number one source of income? Because all the adventurers could do the stream.

"How much I can earn by doing this?"

She gradually rubbed her chin, thinking the profit of Grim was based on his popularity. "Hmm... I won't lie to you: you could get 15,000$ a month."

Yumiro suddenly having a malicious smile on his face, but it just took a few seconds it faded away.

He don't want to have interaction with another adventurer as he wasn't good at it. Aside from that, making a live stream need expensive equipment.

"You're interested in it, isn't it?" Hippie asked him.

"A little, but I don't have the equipment for that. I should forget about it." Yumiro replied nonchalantly while seeing the smoke disappeared.

Ding!

It was like a light bulb flickered inside Hippie's mind. "You don't have any equipment? I can lend you mine? I'm planning to use it, but my popularity it's not too high, so it's just a waste for me."

He shook his head, as he refused her suggestion. "No, no, no, you need that. You already said you need money from your grandmother."

She smirked. "Yes, I need money. Who said I'm giving it to you for free?"

He scratched the back of his head, as he amused at her honestly. He secretly chortled. "Hmm... What's your plan?"

"We are going to use your popularity to earn money. Once we completed one month we should split our income to 50:50. That's my equipment bring the other money you could get in engagement. This is a win-win situation for both of us, isn't it?"

Seemingly Hippie was literally eager to earn money. However, Yumiro didn't feel about it since there was a big reason behind it.

So he deeply sighed, then took a glance at her with lifeless eyes. "Let's talk about it later. First, We must find a way to escape in this place."

"You accept my proposal?!" She said merrily.

"I haven't! We'll spend a lot of time here or days, so let me think it for a while." Yumiro replied, then darted his eyes at the dropped on the ground and the loot chest.

His guts saying, once they saw the thing inside the chest. There was a chance it could answer all the questions that pierced inside their minds.

"Is that so... But tell me if you already think about it. I just really need it." Her face changed to a serious one, then followed the man in his way.

Both of them promptly sauntered in the amid, seeing valuable items that were lying on the ground. Also, those adventurers unexpectedly have the same reason why they play this VR game. It was to earn real money to have a good life.

As soon as they reached the place, a golden light was perceived by their eyes.

"This is the puzzle piece?"
