The Adventurer System

Harun's [Wind barrier] skill couldn't last as the Polarcriss Bear released a strong electric current. Which created a massive explosion and shook the place.

As expected, the forest now had zero visibility. And the main reason why the broadcasting system couldn't locate the exact location of those adventurers.

Roar!

The boss of the mid-level dungeon aggressively growled. While releasing an overwhelming power that could annihilate those adventurers.

Luckily, the Polarcrisis Bear couldn't cast the same skill it used. Since after the skill cast it had a cooldown duration before it could use again.

"Ehem!"

"Ehem!"

Under the dominant blizzard, there was a man who coughed twice. Based on his tone, he accidentally buried inside the thick snow.

Swoosh!

Then, strong wind magic occurred, which helped the middle-aged man to release to his current position.

It was Harun, that blessed he just took minimal damage from the monster's attack. As his [Wind Barrier] protected him until the very end.

Harun immediately regained his footing, he then patted his winter attire, so he could remove some snow stick with him. 

"W-Where are they?" He asked himself in the amid of snow forest.

By just looking at the place, Harun could determine where the exact position of his party members. So he opened the function screen with his shivered hand, to notify them in an instant.

Somehow, he wasn't worried about them since their HP bar was still higher in 65%.

"Everyone, get up! We should establish our formation!" He yelled inside his mind. It was like, he was using telepathy magic that enabled transmit all his words.

After he spits those words, there was someone tugged his robe from his behind. 

"What's your condition, Harun? Do you need healing magic?"

It was Feira, that holding his magical wand with her trembled body. So, you could see on her face that she was frightened because of the skirmished that just happened.

"No, I'm good Feira. At this point, you should conserve your mana for our member who received severe damage." Harun recommended it with a weak tone.

He narrowly peaked at Feira's back, then saw Feira used the durability of the trees to become her shield. As her HP was still over 100% and the reason why she hadn't any scratches.

Harun could tell it since her footprints on the snow surface could prove it.

More minutes had passed, then Harun's party members finally heard his call. So they slowly stood up in a different location, yet, their eyes telling, they still weren't recovered from the monster's attack.

"Why are all of you dumbfounded there?! Those monsters probably would attack us, so bring back your senses." Harun yelled once again, as the worst-case scenario might happen.

The 3 members of Xarki Guild suddenly flinched as they felt someone pinched their skins.

"Yeah, Harun is right." They said at once.

They hurriedly went to Harun and Feira's location, planning to rebuild their fighting formation. As no one anticipated the dungeon Boss would respawn in the very beginning.

"W-We must..." Baltimore having difficulty sharing his ideas on they will conquer those monsters. Knowing they haven't had enough to speak since the monsters already found their locations, and any moment it could release again a disastrous power.

Swish!

Grover yearned to block the Polarcrisis Bear's claw by just using his level 2 shield. Yet, after he received the attack, he was easily sent far away and rolled many times to the snow surface. Which each roll added some damage to his health power.

Uru grabbed Baltimore's shoulder along with an anxious expression on his face. "Leader Baltimore, we should retreat. Because at this point, all of us would die. This is the kind of situation we could handle, you must accept the fact."

Uru: he was the adventurer who agreed to continue their expedition earlier. But now, he was standing on the surface with tremendous trembling of his body.

Bam!

Baltimore swiped Uru's hand, then stared at him with furious eyes. "If you want to retreat, you're free to go. I don't need an adventurer like you inside my party raid."

After he spits those words, he promptly sauntered to the monsters' location. That non-stop throwing heavy attacks on Grover's place even though he was already laid on the ground.

"Fiera! Why are you contemplating for? You should heal Grover right now! Before his health power drops to 0%." Harun hurriedly commanded her, after seeing his party member was in the critical situation.

She suddenly flinched. "I'm sorry!" She then raised her magic wand while pointing it at the skies. Where the green magic circle unexpectedly occurred.

[Healing!]

Green magic particles swiftly transmitted to Grover's body. However, even he was already healed by Feira still his health was rapidly decreasing as the monsters keep to attack. And they knew if no one could stop the monsters, Grover probably died.

Harun clicked his tongue while finding a path where he could cast his strong magic skill. Since if he attacks rashly Grover would receive it as he was under the monster.

Or the other way to save him was to lure the monsters in the opposite direction far away from Groven.

But the right time didn't give their sympathy to them; as the Polarcrisis bear skill was already online. As soon as they tried to reach out to Grover the two polar bears interfered with them.

"Please, help me! I don't want to live my life in the real world, my heart already belongs here!" Tears welled up in his character's face.

Although it was just a game, the player still could express their feelings and extreme emotions.

Harun concentrating a massive magical power in his hands by circulating it with the same and exact motion.

"If he died with my skill, which means I accidentally PK him. This is bad." Even though he was intimidated, still, his eyes saying that he will release his magic skill. "I hope no one blames no matter what the outcome..."

Harun frowned his brows, but the monster looked like just snickering at him.

"Ahh!"

Finally, he discharged the huge circular fire directly to the Polarcrisis bear. "This is my strongest skill as of now, the monster probably wouldn't survive from my attack."

He gazed around, then seeing Baltimore was facing the two Polar bears while the two other members were petrified in their place and attempting to teleport into the safe zone.

Boom!

Another explosion transpired, but this time it was directly blasted to Grover's face.

After a few seconds, red magic particles rapidly flew into the mid-air as they come along with the blizzards. It was an indication there were new adventurers who died inside the VR world, so his account was permanently deleted.

As soon as his strong magic skill touched the monster's body. He kneeled to the freezing ground with a frigid expression.

"Why I didn't think about it?"

His fire magic would make any single damage within the monster, as his attack wasn't strong enough to burn the monster's cold body.

"Uru! Feira! Used the teleportation crystal and get back to the safe zone! We could not survive with these monsters." He yelled and stared at Baltimore with a doubtful expression.

Swish!

After hearing Harun's words, Uru didn't make any second thoughts to teleport to the safe zone.

While Feira remained and stared at Harun with worried eyes. "B-But, how about you? I'm the Cleric here so if you decide to fight I should be here."

"Just do what I said! I'll follow you once I convince our party leader."

In Harun's mind, if those monsters reached 10 meters radius distance within them. The teleportation crystal was probably unable. So it was good for Feira if she leaves right now as the monsters' focused on Baltimore.

Feira bowed her head and said. "I'm sorry, to leave you in this kind of situation." After those words, she held the teleportation crystal and quickly vanished from the mid-level dungeon.

"Now..." He regained his footing and dashed to Baltimore had desperate eyes. "Baltimore, we must follow those two; let those monsters we couldn't make it no matter how many times we try."

But Baltimore stared at him furiously. "I don't have time for a coward like you." He keeps slashing his sword and at the same time covered his body if the monsters swung their claws in that spot.

"What are you saying? Withdrawing isn't determined to be a coward. It's a wise strategy if you see that you don't have any chance to win." He can't intervene in their battle as Baltimore didn't step back and keep pushing forward. 

"Hey! What are you doing? You still have a chance to clear this dungeon without sacrificing your account." Harun said trying to persuade him to withdraw but the outcome was still the same.

"Stop! I don't have any plan to leave this place whatever you say!"

In his mind, if he succeeded in this expedition his popularity will be increased. Since the system coverage their actual battle which helps him to reach the pro-scene.

"Jeez! If you want to die here that is your choice." He tried to scare him but he didn't react at all, then suddenly.

Swish!

Harun started to run away as he saw the Polarcrisis bear charged at Baltimore with an elevated speed.

Swish!

The two lvl.1 Polar bear leaped on each side to make a way for the dungeon boss that was eager to kill more adventurers.

"I tried to convince you but you are eaten by your desire, goodbye!" He quickly took out the teleportation crystal then eventually vanished from the dungeon.

...

"Haaaa!" Baltimore rushes at the 3 monsters without any hesitation while the left side of his body was slightly revealed since it was the side he had a defense.

Bam!

He raised his shield over his head, to block the Polar bear attack. But he couldn't take back his shield and be stuck in one position.

He had a big opening in each corner, so the Polarcrisis didn't hesitate to use that chance to strikes a malignant blow to Baltimore's body.

Bam!

He sent to the mid-air while flipping with a bolted speed. Yet the dungeon boss didn't look finish in its attack, so it leaped to the mid-air and attempting to catch him.

Clasp!

The monsters succeeded to grab him. He struggled but he was not in the right position to escape from the tightens. And when the moment they have reached the endpoint of their momentum. The monster looked like it will slapping Baltimore's body to the ground.

BOOM!

[Xarki Guild failed!]

"Oh, that is the consequence if you failed."
