The Adventurer System

Two days had easily passed, when the five members of the Xarki Guild were failed in their expedition inside the mid-level dungeon.

So Xarki Guild couldn't escape from the harsh comments of the others adventurers. Since they showed poor performance when they were battling the Polarcrisis bear.

But on the other side, the screen name of Grim Draigh has still appeared on social media platforms.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

In the hallway, there was a man who knocked three times on the enormous golden door.

"Come in."

Behind the door, someone responded to him. So placed his hands into it, then narrowly pushed with his strength.

In front of him was the spacious room, where he could see the shimmering statues that had 9 feet tall. Also, the large paintings were mounted onto the wall.

When the time he has seen the beautiful white-haired woman who sat in front of the desk. He decided to walk on the red carpet that headed to the woman.

His eyes were scarcely dazzled in the sunlight that illuminated on the big transparent window. Or to be exact, they were in the building where the only thing could see were the blue sky and high establishment.

As soon as he reached her place, the man bowed his head a bit to give a respect. Then suddenly, the woman initiated a conversation.

"How's your investigation? Did you find any useful information about him?" She said with a warm voice while her index finger slowly tapped the shiny desk.

He deliberately shook his head, and you could see the disappointment with his eyes. He looked so tense before he speaks, so he cleared his throat.

"Uh-eh, Ms. Alicia, I apologize but my team couldn't find any information about the adventurer Grim Draigh. It seemed he's the kind of player who doesn't want to reveal his identity." He explained, then pushed back his eyeglasses with a shivered hand. As he felt embarrassed to didn't give any clues to his boss.

The woman in front of him is Alicia Siren, the richest young woman all over the world. Since when she is 9 years old Alicia could earn hundreds of millions in just a year. This means she is also part of the top 10 businesswomen, who invested a large amount of money in the first successful VRMMORPG which is called the "Adventure System"

"Hmm... If he didn't want to reveal himself, this is the right time to make our move." Alicia said with a malicious smile on her face. "You should raise his bounty up to 10 million dollars, but make sure we should get him no matter what it takes, Nairo!"

"Yes, Ms. Alicia! I promise I'll do everything to win to him." Nairo responded in a high tone.

However, he was wondered why Alicia was persistent to recruit this man? Although he was informed of Grim Draigh done within the Green frog, still, he didn't get the point.

"Ms. Alicia, can I ask some questions?" He asked with a weak tone.

"What's that?" She replied.

"Sorry that I'm going to ask for this, Ms. Alicia, but why Grim Draigh is important to our company?" As he couldn't take his curiosity, Nairo asked her.

She smiles, then stood up next to the transparent window. "Because he's the adventurer we needed to fulfill our mission. I'm sure Grim Draigh is the right adventurer that we are waiting for, for a long time.

She faced again at Nairos where her silky white hair was shining under the sunlight. "He's versatile, Nairo. And that's the reason why Mr. Arashki is obsessed to get him."

The ambiance of the place was suddenly changed. Nairo was dumbfounded since he didn't know how he was going to respond.

"Nairo?"

He flinched after seeing Alicia was looking at him with her curious eyes.

"Oh, I'm sorry Ms. Alicia. I should leave now to spread the 10 million dollar bounty on all social media platforms. So the people easily notify by it."

"Good luck, Grim huh..."

"This is it?"

Back in the tiny house, this was the day when Yumiro was allowed to come back inside the VR world. Nevertheless, his rendezvous with Roshy remind him.

Yet, even though two days had passed when the catastrophe happened at the Xarki guild. Still, it was fresh in Yumiro's mind since some scenes worried him.

He hadn't cared about what happened with those adventurers, he was pointing his capabilities in his fighting style. Or to be more specific, he was thinking about the monster that reached the second evolution. In his mind, if he was the one in their situation, he will never win against that monster or might die.

"I don't want to spend my entire life in the real world if I still disable like this. Also, I shouldn't be content in my zexel, I need to cultivate my character so I can avoid unnecessary scenarios."

Moreover, he was aware if he kept just using his taekwondo techniques all the time. It wouldn't be enough to beat the monsters who reached the second evolution.

"I should start now."

He took a glance at his behind, seeing the black VR helmet positioned on the top of his pillow. He seems excited to log in, but before that, he should take his medicines. So no one could interfere with him once he was inside the game.

In his grasp were the two capsules that had different colors of brown and red. By just staring at it, Yumiro was already about to throw up since he was taking these medicines for four years without any single day miss.

"Amiya perhaps know if I didn't take one of these. Also, I don't want to give her so much headache."

He took a deep breath, then heavily exhaled. Before he swallowed the two capsules at once.

Gulp! Gulp!

He remained in his position, then followed up it with water. So he could wash away all the rough texture in his throat.

Bam!

He mildly slapped the glass on the desk. "Jeez! I really needed to find a way to bring one item in the real world, so I'll not take again those gross medicines."

Once he settled, he wore the VR Helmet and clicked the green button.

Time: 8:12 AM.    

[Do you want to enter the VR world?]

[Yes]    [No]

"Yes!"

And again, the VR helmet emitted a strong radiance that made him felt that he was diving into the deep sea, where the only thing could hear was the sounds of water rumbling inside his mind.

Swoosh!

At the time he completely entered the VR world. He was barely dazzled at the light but not the same when the last time he logged in.

His feet were touched again in the smooth surface where he could see the Adventure Capital Arc the place where the adventurers around 10-50 levels arrived.

"Lucky me." He narrowly smiled after seeing the place wasn't filled by the adventurers. although there were some, but seem they didn't look interested in the young man who had long white hair.

He wandered around in the polished water sculptures then he saw his reflection on it.

"Even I saw it once I'm still amazed at my new appearance."

Yumiro wanted to see more about his body, but he was cautious that he might be caught other attention. So he stopped it then proceed to their meeting place.

After he traipsed in a straight path and the fences. Now the surroundings were full of dancing colorful flowers that he hadn't seen before. But because of it, he makes him to felt relax which took away all the things that gave him a hard time.

"I hope... This is the real world."

At the endpoint of the straight path, he already saw a blond hair woman, it was Roshy that enthusiastically waving at him.

As soon as he came closer to her. His aura was changed it seems he hadn't any plan to treat other people on how he treated her little sister.

"I'm still amazed at your new appearance, Grim," Roshy said with a honeyed tone.

He just nodded at her. And eventually gazed around recognised only two of them had gathered in the place. Even though the place had the atmosphere to set the mood, Yumiro did not stare at her for long.

"I can't understand this man's problem. I'm trying to be nice and initiate the conversation, but why is he making me feel that I did something wrong to him " She uttered to his mind but keep going to approach him. "Do you have any plan for this day?" She asked.

He shrugged with a bit of nod. "Yes, so let settle my debt to you, so I can proceed." In his mind, as much as possible he doesn't want to come along with her for a long period.

"Okay, let's proceed to your plan! Let's go." She cheerfully said. 

"No, you will not come with me."

Attaining a level alone was much comfortable for him. Because he didn't think if there's someone who would like to harm him.

"Come on, Grim. Tell me more about it." She was persistent to persuade the young man in front of her, so she didn't realise she was now closer to him.

"Can you avoid coming closer to me; I'm not comfortable with it. Now, tell me, what's your actual plan so we can proceed." He said with a stolid expression.

She sighed as she couldn't do anything about this man's attitude. "Okay, let's take an expedition. But before that, do you have your weapon? We can't take it if you didn't have."

He shook his head. "I don't have any weapon, if I have sufficient gold I'll buy some."

"So it's settled." Roshy replied.

"Settled from what?" He asked.

"Let's find your weapon, so we can take our first actual expedition."

"You didn't hear, I don't have sufficient gold for now."

"Don't worry, I'll pay you. But you need to repay me after we finish our expedition.." She smirked at him.
