The Adventurer System

His vision was started to vague after he cast the [Physical Transmission] skill to the monster who hardly whacked on the ground.

Then suddenly, his legs were involuntarily kneeled to the wet surface. While some of his blood dripping on his opened wounds.

His facial expression was also changed, and forcing him to catch up with his breathing.

The hard sounds he heard were from the monsters' footsteps.

"Hey... What exactly happened to me? Why all of sudden, I can't move even a single limb no matter how many times I hardly tried..." He said in a weakened voice, as his fatigue was already drained.

He slowly lifted his head, then seeing the remaining Paraganda fish gradually heading in front of him.

He knew there was something that might bad happen if those monsters reached him. So he placed his hands on the surface, then hardly pulled his body to regain his footing.

Thud!

However, Yumiro was fell again to the ground, and his black shirt covered by thick mud. He was persistent, so he used his remaining strength to crawl. Just to escape from the monsters' attack.

Swift!

One Paraganda fish swung its spear, then slashes Yumiro's back.

"Ahhh!" While screaming his body was elevated a bit, as he felt the keen object inflict a deep wound.

The two more Paraganda fish far away from the adventurer engaged their attack. As they threw their spears into the mid-air and perfectly aimed at Yumiro.

Those monsters were savvy, this adventurer hasn't had the capability to defend himself from any swift attack.

At the very moment, there was someone who cast a fire magic skill directly to the monsters' weapons. Its fire was strong enough to burn the monsters' spears.

A young man had blue hair, and his grasp was a book. Darted his eyes at the woman who was also kneeled on the mud.

"Oi! What are you doing there? Get up and help me to carry him. We must immediately leave this place!"

It was Uzui, the party leader of the group adventurers that abandoned them earlier. More likely, once he recovered some of his strength it seemed he rushed to this place. To return the favor to the person who saved him.

Yet, by just looking at him, you could tell he was still not half of his strength. As he was hardly panting while positioning Grim's arm on his shoulder.

Roshy flinched since that man's voice helped her to get back in her original state of mind. She nodded, then took out her keen thin sword.

Her speed was suddenly increasing and slashes all the monsters coming at Grim's location. Nevertheless, her given damage wasn't sufficient to knock down a single monster.

As soon as she reached the place, Roshy went to the opposite shoulder of Grim. To help Uzui so they could easily leave this place. 

While carrying Grim back to the forest. Grim murmured some words that they understood. "Hey... Leave me here, I don't need anyone's help." He said while his head facing the ground.

"Grim, don't say any childish reasoning, we need to leave this place right now." Roshy responded, then embraced tightly Yumiro's arm closer to her. To not fall again on the ground since Uzui headed back, as he had planned to stop the monsters from chasing them.

Uzui fearlessly stood up in front of Paraganda fish. After a few seconds, his book that in his grasp before was started to elevate. Its page turned automatically and stopped when Uzui already chosen the skill he was going to use. So he now murmuring the incantation in that skill.

[Fire wall!]

"This is my last mana, we should hurry since it will just last for a couple of seconds. We need to find a safe spot before the given time expires." Uzui said while panting. "

"Let me help you..."

Three of them were left, even though Roshy received a big help from Uzui. However, her face won't show any happiness as she remembered all the words that Grim said.

After strolling for 15 minutes, finally, they saw a small cave that hid behind the thick vines. The thick vines were coming from the tree that had 12 meters of height and fruitful an edible gleaming fruits.

As soon as they reached the cave, they slowly leaned Yumiro's back on the freezing wall which made him moved a bit.

Then Uzui was attempted to sit next to him, but Roshy eventually stopped him for no good reason.

"Thank you so much for helping us, but if you don't mind. Can you avoid sitting next to him?" Roshy knew the socialized problem of Grim.

Uzui raised his brows as he wondered why he needed to make a distance with this man? Also, he was exhausted from the fight.

"Eh? Why? I'll not do anything. I'm just sitting here to recover my strength." He responded.

"It's a long story, I'll explain later. But for now, let's move there." She pointed her index finger under the tree. "We can rest at that place without anyone bothering you. I'll follow you there, I just need to discuss something with this man."

Uzui slowly nodded to her along with his curious eyes. As he was clueless why he couldn't rest there.

'They are weird, but thanks to them. I can still play this VR game.' He uttered to his mind, then sauntered under the thick tree.

On the other hand, Roshy was standing in front of Grim. Just she wanted to observe him for a couple of seconds.

Roshy discovered Grim was awake, he was just looking at the yellow algae under him. However, she hasn't enough courage right now to approach him.

By looking at him, Roshy could tell Grim wasn't fine. Since even they used the HP potions to replenish his health power, but all the deep wounds were still there.

Before she left, she murmured some phrases inside her head. 'I'm sorry, Grim. But, how did you know those adventurers aren't worthy of your help?'

Then she told the reason why his body become like this. "Don't ever overuse your fatigue again."

He lifted his head a bit, then glared at her. "W-Why?" He asked with an exhausted tone.

"If you overused again, you can kill by the monsters in your expedition. I had no idea why your fatigue instantly drained, but it seemed it is because of your new skill."

Roshy wanted to give all useful the information she knew. To give Grim a reason to make her stay beside him.

"Give me the potion, so I can leave this place." He replied.

From afar, Uzui curiously watching them. And blinked twice as he trying to see the screen name of the man who saved him.

"Grim Draigh? I think I saw that screen name before?" He mumbled, then deeply sighed as no idea came up in his mind.

Roshy looking at him with begged eyes. "Unfortunately, there's no any potion that could help to replenish your fatigue. However, if you some food or drinks, it can help to regenerate your fatigue. Also, avoid using that skill if you don't have any proper practice."

After Yumiro understood the true reason behind it, he didn't bother himself to reply to her.

He bit his lower dried lip until some blood drip on it. He was frustrated and felt careless as the [Physical transmission] skill needed an exact percentage of fatigue before release it.

After seeing Grim acting like this, she leaves the cave.

"I'll leave you here, for now, if you needed something don't bother to call me, I'm just sitting beside the other adventurer who saved us."

As soon as Roshy got closer to Uzui, she made a shaking hand with him. "Thank you for saving my party leader. Also, I apologize since you need to separate from your party member just to save us, but don't worry once he recovers, I'll ask my leader to escort you back to them."

Moreover, Roshy limiting to say the screen name of Grim. So they could avoid to recognize it by Uzui.

"You don't need to apologize, I should the one who did it." He bowed his head. "Behalf of my party members, I apologize for abandoning you in a cruel time. Also, you don't need to escort me."

Roshy pretended that she wasn't expecting this kind of scenario. So to become more realistic, she widened her eyelids, then covered her mouth.

"B-But why? We are the reason why you abandon your party? I'm so sorry."

"No, no, no, I'm fine with this. I don't like to come along with the full of greedy adventurers." He said while clenching his hand into a fist.

Roshy pretended to deeply sigh, to show that she felt relieved. "Oh, I see then... So what is your plan after this? Leave this dungeon?" Roshy asked him.

"Isn't obvious? I'll join in your party raid.." Uzui suggested with perseverance eyes.
