The Adventurer System

Chapter 52 - The Main Target

When the collision occurred, some parts of the pillar were scattered all over the place, and Garage was laid on the ground, stunned, as she hadn't expected that attack to deal with her in such a way.

"Draigh? G-Grim Dra... Draigh? What is he doing in a place like this?" Garage stuttered to ask herself a question as she noticed the blond woman standing up over her with a smirk on her face.

"Oh my goodness, Garage... Why are you suddenly terrified? You thought he was weak like mine, didn't you?" Roshy said, pointing the tip of her sword at Garage's face.

"Roshyyy!" Garage said while grinding her teeth.

"Roshy, sever! We don't have any business with her for the time being, or I'll kill her." Yumiro said this while chewing the deer meat as it was the best way to replenish the fatigue he had lost.

Roshy smiled as those words were softly heard by her ears. "Don't get me wrong, Garage; I'm simply carrying out my owner's request."

Garage's mouth and eyes trembled, but she managed to crawl until her head hit the concrete wall. "Wait, wait, wait, don't kill me just yet." She straightened her hands and closed her eyes, hoping that those adventurers will forgive her. "I'll give you whatever you want!"

Yumiro swung his robe across his left arm, signaling that he had ordered Roshy's execution to be halted. Both of their eyes met in the middle, and they exchanged a few nods to give her a chance to speak.

"Tch! What can you offer? If you have it, I want it to be worth as much as your VR life." He knew that no one wanted to die in this game due to the inevitable life-changing consequences.

Then, all of a sudden, tears welled up in her eyes, indicating that she wasn't masking her true feelings. "Yes! I have items in my inventory; you can have them and I will do whatever you say, but please spare my VR life; I don't want to return to my miserable life."

He flinched, thinking that this woman was in the same situation as him, a person who couldn't do anything but accept the fate handed down by the unavoidable change in the world.

However, his trust was not easily won, so he maintained a tough demeanor with their adversary. "I despise dramas in any form; just tell me what you have to offer. For the time being, I will grant you permission."

Garage uncontrollably nodded her head, relieved. She realized the two adventurers who surrounded her would accept her condition if she could make a worthy trade.

"I only have a steel knife, 350 gold coins, and 23 monster cores. You may have all of them. But please keep your promise not to kill me." She desired assurance for her life, even though she knew that if they took all of her belongings, she would have to restart from the beginning, but she felt that this was the better option than being killed by them.

350 golds at this rate were difficult to obtain based on their levels; additionally, it could be used to purchase Lvl.2 armor and other items within the Adventure Capital.

Roshy yanked on Yumiro's black robe, as if she needed something from him. "Grim, ask her where my items are." She spoke in hushed tones, trying not to be overheard by Garage.

He sighed, thinking there was nothing wrong with it. "We'll take them all, but first, where is her stuff?" He indicated Roshy with his index finger.

Garage nodded, his eyes alert. "It is held by Uzui, our tactician who is also in charge of all loot. We simply carry out his instructions." Garage stated as she placed all of her belongings on the destroyed surface.

"Tactician?" He asked himself as he wondered what the exact term for those words was, but Roshy seemed to hear his murmur.

"Do you even understand what it is? The tactician is in charge of making decisions, which necessitates a high level of concentration and mental clarity. Aside from that, the tactician is a sought-after skill among certain adventurers because it necessitates putting all of your free att into your intelligence. To boost your mental strength while also increasing your mana. Mana has had no effect on your thinking ability; it will simply increase because it is part of your intelligence stats." Roshy explained briefly while eagerly grabbing the items on the ground.

"How important is the tactician in this game?" He inquired once more.

"Of course, it's significant. The tactician will be the key to victory; if the tactician is too smart with the addition of true intelligence in the real world, believe me, it can clear a certain dungeon without taking any casualties among its members." Roshy carefully spits those words out.

Yumiro hummed in a tone that indicated he completely understood the role of a tactician in this game. "We've already returned your item, so there's no reason for you to stay here. We should get out of here." He stated.

"It's not enough, Grim. We can't buy anything with these golds if we divide them in half." Roshy slowly displayed her main target, which appeared to be the skill scroll they would take from the treasure chest.

"Then take it all; I don't need those golds right now; I'm just trying to get to Lvl.20." He replied but didn't notice Roshy's plans because he was confident because of the slave and owner's agreement.

Roshy was in a panic as Yumiro had lost interest in fighting them after they had taken a bunch of lots. In her mind, she needed a valuable reason to rekindle Yumiro's enthusiasm.

Pop!

It was as if a light bulb went off in her head: "Grim, my earrings and ring are valuable items for my character; we should return them." She was determined to carry out her main plan for Uzui's party.

"Earings? Rings?" Garage was perplexed as to why this woman was lying to such a powerful man.

"Don't say anything else, or I'll kill you without hesitation," Roshy said as Grim walked around and scouted the area.

Yumiro bowed slightly, tired from the long day, "Okay, okay, let's end so I can rest." He said this as he walked a few meters away to Garage.

"That scroll, I need that skill scroll," Roshy chuckled. Her eyes revealed that she had planned something.

"Roshy! What else do you need..." When Roshy pointed the tip of her sword at Garage's neck, Garage couldn't finish her sentence.

"Watch your words; if you say another word, I'll make sure your head falls to the ground."

"Roshy, finish taking all her items and we're leaving, it's not good if there's another collision."

Thud!

Roshy kicked Garage's back, causing her to fall to the ground. "I'm sorry, Grim, but this lady has a bad mouth." She quickly slid all of the items into her inventory and moved closer to Yumiro.

"What now?" he wondered.

"After this main surface, there's a corridor here that leads to a room with the massive statue."

He kneaded his chin, curious about what was going on inside. "All right, let's keep going."

The adventurers continue on their way, leaving Garage in a bad mood. They were aware because not only were the adventurers their enemies, but the monster had also infiltrated their ranks.

Yumiro and Roshy arrived at the corridor after 5 minutes of walking, and it was completely empty except for the torches.

Roshy swallowed her saliva after seeing a monster in that location earlier. "Borasiki monster or slime? At this point, who knows what monster will appear."

Bam!

They were in the middle of something when they heard a loud shutting of the door, which woke them up.

"What exactly is it?" Yumiro inquired, noticing a shadow at the door in front of them.

"Grim, watch out!"

[Baraga Fire!]

Then, all of a sudden, a massive fire erupted in the same location, and it appeared that if the attack was released, the two of them would perish.

Thud!

Yumiro tackled Roshy inside the wooden room, where the place was dark and the only light came from the skill they could see.

While Yumiro was walking over to Roshy, he said a few words. "They've already found us, so be prepared.. It's a tough fight."
