The Adventurer System

An orange light was strongly gathered at the end of the corridor in the dark place. The entire corridor was easily burned as soon as Uzui released it.

"Come on, put your best foot forward right now! How dare you injure one of my party members!" Uzui yelled angrily, his voice echoing and Yumiro hearing it.

A marked sign on the concrete wall indicated that it had been burned by a massive fire. Because of these occurrences, the torches were passed off because they were blown by a strong force.

The last adventurers who needed to fight by Yumiro were Syru, Karone, Worishi, and the party leader Uzui. But it didn't appear to be that simple, as Yumiro knew these opponents were difficult to deal with when they were all together.

Karone and Syru stepped forward to take the front line because they were prepared to withstand the unexpected attack. Worishi and Uzui, on the other hand, positioned themselves on their backs due to their lack of experience in close combat battles.

"We're up against a tough guy, according to Garage. What is his name?" Karone was aware that Garage was the more powerful member of the Uzui party, so he was disappointed to see how easily their opponent was pushed back.

Then, all of a sudden, Karone's body was stabilized and he received a physical buff skill from Worishi, which would help him maximize his defensive ability.

"I'm not sure, but we need to be cautious. I believe that man isn't your average adventurer because he was able to defeat our most powerful member." Worishi barely raised her green wand to ensure she was ready for any sneaky attack.

"You don't need to be concerned; just listen to what I'm saying, and I assure you that we won't have any problems." Uzui responded calmly while knitting his brow.

Yumiro and Roshy, on the other hand, were seated in the back of the door, their backs resting on the edges of the wall. "Grim, I'll do everything I can to help you get through this fight, but I'm not sure I can survive with them." Her eyes were wide with fear after she said those words, as she heard multiple footsteps of their adversaries.

In this situation, Yumiro should avoid being picky. "Just give me a backup, but first we need to figure out how we're going to prevent Uzui from releasing magical power." Yumiro replied, noting that his black robe had not been burned despite being directly touched by the fire.

She nodded slowly as she agreed with Yumiro's suggestion. Nonetheless, Roshy has warned them that if they attack all at once, their HP will be depleted.

He peered around the edges of the wall, checking to see if there were any opponents nearby.

"Tch! I'm not sure where they are exactly." Yumiro was irritated as he had no idea how he was going to fight them at this point.

In his mind, if he had the same skill as Uzui, he could either burst all of them at once or devise a plan to slow down their movement time.

At the same time, Yumiro, how did it feel, or more specifically, what were the casualties if he was directly attacked with magical skills? So, while being careless in this situation was an appropriate move, he needed to devise a strategy for getting much closer to them. Since he needed the proper distance to execute his skill properly.

He took a deep breath and relaxed, allowing all of the possible answers to sink in. "Roshy Zexel is currently untrustworthy due to our opponent's use of fire magic. Also, if we lure Uzui back into the Garage, he will be able to use a magical skill, which will be bad for us and there is nowhere for us to hide."

He forced himself to stand up, then decided to wait for them until their opponents got closer. "This is the best option I know; aside from that, I'm confident in my skill; too much thinking won't help me," Yumiro said to himself.

He probably dominated them in a 1v1 battle though since he had that kind of Zexel that could double his main stats, but the situation will change if he battles in a 1v4 match-up. The four people were able to fill all of the flaws in their moves, making them unstoppable.

An orange light appeared, but it appeared to be different from the previous one. Yumiro attempted another peak as he pondered what kind of skill could be directed at them.

He slowly revealed his head, and then he noticed four rounded orange lights elevated on Uzui's green grimoire. "That book is the primary reason he can release a magical skill." When he saved them from the Paraganda fish, he remembered that book.

"That's a Grimoire, Grim, it has skill inside and is used by mages who have a lot of mana," She said, as the ground shivered. Even though she was terrified by the intense gathering of magical power, she would like to share some useful information.

"Grimoire? Oh, I see, this is how they refer to the common book. I have a question: if I steal his book, will Uzui still be able to cast any kind of magic skill?" Yumiro inquired hastily, knowing that his opponents were only 20 meters away.

"It's not possible, Grim; even if you succeed in stealing his Grimoire, Uzui can still cast any skill he recalls unless..." She came to a halt when she realized her plan couldn't be realized.

"Unless and until what? If you have an idea, kindly give it with me right away because our opponent is on his way. We don't have time for frivolous discussion." He spoke quickly, thinking about what would happen if Uzui released that magical power.

"I don't think it will work, but you can prevent Uzui from releasing magical skills if he runs out of mana. Nonetheless, as I previously stated, I don't think it's the best idea because he knows he's a mage, which means he keeps plenty of MP potion in his inventory."

Yumiro understood what the MP potion was used for; in his mind, it served the same purpose as the HP potion, which could regenerate your health by 40%.

Yumiro sighed deeply, knowing it was a difficult task, but he was determined to overcome it for his new life inside the VR world. "Okay, this is an adventure; the thrill will be lost if we don't face it."

He stood up when he saw the four adventurers had reached the 11-meter mark; aside from that, they were confident that no one would be harmed as the bulky man led their way.

Karone's shoulder was shrugged by Uzui "I don't want you to get hurt, so please step aside, Karone. We will force those rats to come out." Uzui said this while slowly releasing four rounded orange lights the size of marbles.

Thud!

Thud!

Uzui's eyes widened as he didn't expect their opponent to appear despite the fact that he hadn't released his skill, but he smiled maliciously. "That's right, you already know what's going to happen to you." He said this while barely bending his knees.

[Marile mine!]

"Marile mine, huh." Even Yumiro had a clue what was the skill floating in front of him, still, he pursued himself to dashed straight forward, and tried to avoid that magic skill.

The orange light beamed on his red eyes, as he watched it carefully since it was floating uncontrollably.

Then suddenly the 4 rounded magic skill was multiplied by 10 times, and it was looked like particles that surrounded him. Yumiro chuckled as he felt he was stood in a dangerous situation. "Hehe, what now?"

There was an increase in the magic skill when it reached a distance of 3 meters, and it was then directly aimed at Yumiro's time. "What exactly is this?" As the hundreds of lights were plastered on his body, he felt a strong heat that made him sweat, but because he was inside the game, he didn't feel any pain.

He came to a halt as he attempted to remove all of the magical abilities from his body, but it was ineffective.

"Goodbye in the virtual world, ineffective adventurer!" Uzui yelled angrily, slowly closing his right hand into a fist.

[Marile mine activate!]

Boom!

A massive explosion occurred in a specific area, with a force capable of destroying the structures. The ground shivered, and Yumiro threw himself far away, refusing to reveal what the real deal was in that skill.

Thud!

Thud!

He rolled to the ground several times as he noticed the area was engulfed in thick smoke.

"Grim! Now is the time to use your potion!" Roshy brags about her AOE skill, which she thought could one-shot any single target.
