The Adventurer System

Chapter 54 - Rising Shiren

As the tremendous explosion occurred inside the area, the young man with long white hair was hardly sent far away from his slave. On the other hand, Uzui party members were unsurprised by the amount of mana Uzui released, as if it wasn't the first time they'd seen it.

Uzui sighed, widely spreading his right arm, and stated that he would like to prevent his members from engaging in combat with their opponent. "Stop, and don't make any rash moves. That man is still alive and well." Uzui spoke in hushed tones.

Every adventurer knew that if they died inside the VR world, their VR body would emit a massive light, signifying the adventurer's soul.

The middle-aged man walked over to the young man with blue hair. "Uzui, if I'm not mistaken, he's the first adventurer to have survived to your AOE ability." Syru said with a gruff tone and squinted twice as he tried to figure out how much HP their opponent had left, but he failed due to the darkness.

Uzui nodded, an irritated grin on his face. "You're correct, but the main question here is how he survives my attack. I'm certain he got all of my magical mines." He was curious to know the answer to his question.

"Don't worry, Uzui will use that skill again in our next attack. I'm sure our adversary wouldn't last long if he did that." Karone stated confidently that he didn't mind their opponent as he thought it was already destroyed by the powerful explosion.

"I'll do that, Karone, but we'll need another 15 minutes before I can cast it again. My two skills have already begun to cool down at that point." Uzui responded.

Uzui's mind was suddenly changed, and he ordered his party members to engage the young man before he could regain his strength.

On the other hand, Roshy was concerned, so she dashed to Grim, whose owner had just received a powerful explosion.

She kneeled with anxious eyes, and despite the fact that she could feel some spiky parts of the concrete wall, she endured it. "Grim! Grim! Are you all right? Please consume your HP potion as soon as possible." She spoke quickly, then used her strength to rotate Yumiro's body to see how much HP he had.

"What the hell happened?! How does it become possible?" She was literally stunned when she saw Yumiro's HP had been reduced by 46 HP, spite of the fact that he had almost eaten the magical skill.

"Ahh!" Yumiro yawned, stretching his limbs with teary eyes, as if the attack had been nothing to him.

He was desperate for a good night's sleep since he knew he'd be playing all day. "I'm a little surprised by his abilities, but there's nothing to worry about." He smirked and slowly pushed himself into a stood up position.

Roshy was captivated by him, wondering why this man could always accomplish the impossible. He knew there was something wrong when she shook her head slightly. "He's probably not going to make it because he doesn't have any kind of armor." She had an idea, so she dragged her index finger across Grim's body for 3 seconds.

A new elevated screen appeared right in front of her eyes, and it appeared to be the system's new description.

[Magic Cloak Lvl.1 Item type- Slightly rare. Class type- Mage class]

Swoosh!

Another tab flickered in her eyes.

[Magic Cloak- it has +40 magic defense, +20 physical defense, and +7% movement speed, which aids in quick movements.]

Roshy realized why Grim could suddenly survive such an attack, and she wondered why the system always gave him a valuable item. She sighed heavily, feeling insecure around this young man.

"Roshy, do you see what's going on?" Yumiro inquired the blonde woman next to her.

Her lifeless eyes slowly nodded along with her. "Yeah, I was present for all of the events." She responded in a calm tone.

He lightly punched his right palm with his left fist, confident that he could engage the enemy without suffering significant damage.

"If you see that the situation isn't right, simply intervene in my fight. Or, to put it another way, lend me a hand." Yumiro gave her a sly grin.

Roshy raised her brows, indicating that she understood Grim's words. "I'll do everything I can, but don't expect too much because I know my fighting skills aren't up to par."

On the other hand, since a massive explosion occurred inside the Lynx dungeon, some of the new recruiters have piqued their interest. They assumed it was the adventurer they were looking for. However, the high-level adventurers knew it was only a low-level magic skill, and the reason it appeared strong was that the structure was too old, which meant that if a strong collision occurred, the place would be easily destroyed. Nonetheless, those brave adventurers accepted the fact that it had to be Grim Draigh, the mysterious adventurer who had quickly gained popularity.

"Everyone, enter this structure! Please let me know if you come across any hints." A young man with brown hair and glasses spoke up. He was riding in the white horse, which appeared to be his companion.

Kurisei is the vice-captain of the Rising Shiren guild, which was previously ranked fourth. He sent out 15+ adventurers of various classes because it was the best way for them to stand out if a powerful monster approached.

He was envious of why the guild's leader or main captain was so eager to invite that man despite not knowing his true capabilities. He sighed, knowing he couldn't do anything but obey all of the orders that were given to him.

"Haiss... I need to finish this task so I can continue with my level, so I can step at Heaven's Dream." All of the adventurers inside the VR world had desires that needed to be fulfilled.

After receiving a new call from their Captain, his calm demeanor was quickly transformed into a hurried one. He combed his brown hair and examined his face to see if there was any dirt on it.

When he was finished, he took a deep breath to re-center himself. He then pressed the button on the elevated screen that appeared in front of him.

"Captain Shira, why did you call so abruptly?" When he saw the white-haired woman on the mini screen, his face flushed. She had blue eyes and a charming face that could entice anyone just by looking at her.

Shira's cute voice responds to Kurisei's question. "I'm just wondering if you already have a lead on Grim Draigh."

He shook his head, a shy expression on his face. "Sorry, Captain Shira, but we still haven't seen that man; however, we heard a strong explosion inside the Elves Kingdom that we had previously cleared; I'm hoping that magic skill came from that man." He responded without looking her in the eyes for too long.

"All right, but if you find any clues, please contact me right away; I'd like to meet him in person." Shira stated.

For a split second, he nodded furiously, then changed his expression when he replied. "Captain Shira, of course. I'll make sure you get to meet him." He clenched his right hand into a fist in the area where the camera couldn't reach it.

Shira couldn't hear his words because the mini screen had vanished. "Grim Draigh, I swear I'll kill you if I don't have to find anything interesting with you!" He whirled around in a red rage, then entered the Gigantic door, where the vines crawled up.

___

Roshy and Yumiro, on the other hand, had no idea there were adventurers already in the Elves Kingdom because Yumiro was facing the two adventurers who specialized in close combat.

Who will win this match-up between Syru and Karone and Yumiro? "It's fascinating; I want to kick!" He appeared to be excited, so he dashed to them without hesitation.

"Haa!"

[Physical transmission!]

[Jumping axe kick!]
