The Adventurer System

Chapter 64 - Being Shadowed

Yumiro cheerfully seized all the 11 monsters' cores in the area where he stood. Moreover, among those cores, he knew the most valuable core came from the Diffusion Ogre.

"What will my next appearance, if I eat this core." Yumiro asked himself along with his shivered tone as he remembered the gross appearance of the Ogre monster. "Hehe, I just keep it in the meantime..."

Swish!

"What's that? There's something near to me?" He quickly looked at his behind as it was the exact direction where he heard the flashy sound of an unknown creature.

He squinted twice as he trying to perfectly see the area, but the place was so dark and hard for him to what was specific things position in front of him.

He shook his head as he knew his eyes won't deceive him. "No, I can't be wrong. My instinct wouldn't betray me." He deeply inhales and yelled loudly. Seemingly he didn't even care if some adventurers notice him.

"Show yourself!"

Still, the result was exactly the same. No one appeared in front of him.

Yumiro patted his head all over. "Someone tell me, what's actually happening?" He opened the function screen without making any second thought since he knew if that was an adventurer the system could detect it.

"Yeah, seems my conclusion is right. Isn't an adventurer perhaps it's must be a new monster or other non-human creature." He said while smoothly kneading his chin.

He wasn't assured what a new monster awaited him behind this huge door. So, too wouldn't eat lots of his time, he immediately placed his hands on the metal door that had a golden color also have a polished texture. He then strongly pushed it, but this one was much heavier than the first one, so it opened slowly.

Ink!

The sound of the door that hardly opened, seemed the main reason why it was hard to push because it was already eaten by the rust.

Then, afterward, a new straight corridor saw by his eyes, and eventually, the torches there that were plastered onto the wall was automatically light up. Nevertheless, it seemed no one of those adventurers reached this area.

He took a deep breath, and not recklessly took the corridor as 75% of his fatigue was easily drained by his fight.

'I should sit in this area, for now, I'm not aware what kind of monsters waiting for me there.' He thought, then he reclined his back on the freezing wall and looked at the ceiling.

The ceiling was well made that Yumiro think that it was created by experts. Moreover, the ceiling had the exact appearance that he typically saw in the real world.

He was not surprised actually since Harley Blun was also came from the earth, so some of the ideas came from there.

20 minutes had passed, aside from that, he has already done to stop dreaming that Amiya will come along with him inside the world.

He placed his hands to the ground, and slowly pushed himself into a stood up position.

"85% of my fatigue is recovered, the other 15% probably recover when I slow my expedition pace here. Yeah, this is the right thing to do right now." He said.

He sauntered at the corridor, in his grasp was the one of the kobold's core. In his mind, if there were surprised attacks that occurred the scales of the kobolds could protect him for any instances.

'Thinking most safely ways, I can last in this dungeon without taking any large damages. Aside from that, my problem, for now, is my mana. I don't have any item to replenish it.'

He opened the character's function. 77 mana left, which means he has only one chance to trigger the [Core Devourer] skill. He deeply sighed as he figured out that he couldn't rely on that skill, all just in his physical strength if one of the creatures triggered his skill.

In his walk, there was a thing that bothered his mind. He was wondering why the HP of the Diffusion Ogre suddenly decreased.

"After the monster cast strong fire magic, his body has some crack, and the blood spilling out all over its body. Seems like that monster can't control his power? It's the right term for this?" A lot of ideas came inside his mind, also this was his first time to focus after the catastrophe that happened to him 4 years ago.

He knitted his forehead, being cautious since there was 2 passageway on every side, while in front just concrete wall that there was nothing special about it.

"What now? I must make I right decisions at this point. Which path?" He asked himself while glancing on each side, but he didn't see anything. Other than, those torches plastered on every 10 meters of the wall.

It took 5 minutes before he fully decided. "I'll always take the right path, this is the right time to go to the left side." He said with a weak tone, seeing the coast was clear there was no sign of the monster's existence.

He placed his hands on the wall as he felt a strong heat touched his body, 15 minutes had passed, he already in the amid. And every time he went much deeper, the heat was getting stronger.

"I think, I choose the wrong path? But... There's no time to think for that." Yumiro shook his head and had thought that this kind of fire was coming from the monster since it has the same heat as the ogre magical skill attack.

His pace was getting slower and slower as he got closer to the huge door that had a golden brown color.

"My fatigue? It cost a lot of fatigue." Yumiro was stunned after he saw his fatigue was decreased again by another 10%. "It just 75 meters of the walk, why all of sudden it can't regenerate."

He shook his head once again. "No, I can go back to that place, I don't know what kind of creature waiting for me there."

In the meantime, Yumiro didn't open the huge door otherwise he whirled around and squinted twice also rubbed his eyes to assure that he didn't deceive by his eyes.

Golden yellow eyes perceived by his eyes, "who are you?! Show yourself!" He yelled as he tried to lure out the creature, but it suddenly disappeared.

"No, my eyes didn't deceive me. I know, that are the eyes of a certain creature, but why didn't attack me." He said while his sweat plummetted on his blanched face.

There were a lot of mysteries that needed to solve inside the VR world. Treasures, strong monsters, and a new world that he didn't see.

He stared at the area for 5 minutes, hoping he could see it again, however, it seemed the creature didn't want to show its existence.

"It consumes a lot of time, that creature just wasting my precious time." He turned around and facing to the huge door in front of him.

He placed his hands onto the wall, "What the?" He was surprised when steam suddenly occurred. Yet, he hasn't felt any kind of pain. In his mind, if this the real world, he probably had a 2nd degree of burn.

He took off his hands as he seeing his HP was reduced 3 health points in every 5 seconds he stayed at the position. "I should use a skill in this one."

[Physical transmission!]

"Push kick!"

There was light red color appeared all over his body, and each one of them was gathering in one position, way more looked that his blood was concentrated.

Bam!

When he released the direct push-kick, the huge door was slapped to the wall behind it and created a small straight crack.

Another steam smoke released on the entrance, it was strong enough for Yumiro to step back and covered his face by using his black robe.

It was different from before, it seemed the epicenter of this extreme heat was this door. When the moment, Yumiro felt it started to become weaker he took away his black robe and saw a magma monster.

"Hehe? How I should fight this monster?" He said while having a malicious smiled on his face.
