The Adventurer System

He closed the tab that flickered his eyes as the wooden door clicked. Yumiro knew it was Chirla as he smelled the aroma of delicious foods.

"Yuki, once you eat I might take my leave for now. Tomorrow you will meet my sister." He initiated the conversation with a grin, so Yuki wouldn't feel alone if he wasn't here side.

You could see in Yuki's eyes that she was miserable after she heard those words, but accepted the face, his brother Grim will not circulate his word on her.

"Yes, brother Grim." She replied with a deep sigh.

Yumiro gently patted her head. "Why you give me that face, Yuki. Don't be sad, brother Grim probably back with you. Also, did you said that you didn't want to come with others, right? So wait for me until I came back, okay?"

Yuki nodded to her with a bright face, it seemed his words assured her that the strong young man would back to help her.

"Yes brother Grim, I understand. But, I can't really with joining to your adventure?" She asked.

He slowly shook his head. "I want it too, but I realised the place is dangerous for you, might be there is a chance I can save you if we face a strong monster," Yumiro explained.

"I see..." It seemed she understand the situation, so she stopped from asking while the cat woman was dumbfounded at them.

"Chirla, it's hot right? Why don't you put it on this desk?" Yumiro patted the wooden desk in front of him.

Chirla flinched as she back in her sense, however, the food over the tray was barely stumbled, some soup was spilled out on Yumiro's black robe.

"Oh, sorry!" Chirla worriedly wiped the sticky soup by using a tissue, it seemed this soup was called mushroom soup. "I didn't mean to do that." She continued to apologize without looking at his face.

Yumiro barely held Chirla's right wrist. "Stop, I'm fine. I'm not comfortable that you're closer to me, please step aside." His face was covered and his voice tone was different from how he had a conversation with Yuki.

She stepped back as she followed the order of that young man, but her face was blunt as she thought this adventurer will hurt him how usually did to her if he committed a mistake.

She crossed her arms and positioned them over her head. "I'm sorry, Grim Draigh I didn't mean to do that?" It seemed an NPC like her was abused by an adventurer who came from the earth.

Yumiro lifted his eyebrows as he wondered why this woman acting so strange, it was different from how he saw her earlier.

"Don't worry, I'm not mad about it. I just want you to make a distance from me because I remembered something." Yumiro switched his stared and pointed at Yuki. He then slowly stood up. "Come here, Yuki. This is your food." He carefully pulled the wooden chair.

Yuki also pushed herself into a stood up position, and sat on the chair with a smile. "How about you, brother Grim? I thought you're hungry."

"This all yours, I'll outside after this. Come eat now, before it's getting cold."

Yuki nodded to him while seeing for different kinds of food and one of them was solid that could replenish her hunger.

But on the other hand, Chirla remained in her position with a trembling body. Her face showed that she didn't want to experience something again.

Yumiro looked at the wooden ceiling. "Sorry to scare you," He apologized.

Chirla slowly removed her arms on her face and showed the teary eyes, and seemed it will burst out at any moment.

"Yo... You will n... not punish me?" She asked him with a shivered tone.

Yuki and Yumiro stared at each other with a clueless eye. Then they shrugged their shoulders at the same time.

"Why should I do that? I will not hurt you because of the small accident." Yumiro said with a weak tone

Chirla deeply sighed, "Thanks, Grim Draigh. However, I'm sorry, I will never do that again." Her face was much better than earlier.

"It's okay, hmm... Can I ask you some questions?" Out of the blue Yumiro wanted to ask something.

She nodded while calming her reaction in front of the customer. "What is it? I'll let you ask 3 questions for free to repay for your kindness."

"Huh, what if I exceed into 3 questions?"

"You will pay me a money, that's your first question two left," Chirla said, and seemed she was really fine now.

Yumiro gritted his teeth as this woman easily deceived him by her unnoticed words. "Tch!" Moreover, he proceeded to his question. "Like you, could feel a pain?"

She nodded without making any second thought since she was sure in the words that will come out of her mouth. "Of course! I'm just a creature, feeling pain is one of the natural occurrences in life. We felt all of them, we aren't like you or the adventurers around here."

Yumiro understood the NPC could feel all the feelings what was the humans felt. Moreover, he was worried about Yuki since she was also an NPC in the VR world.

"You've one last question, in the next question after this I will collect 5 silver coins." Chirla said with a weak manner while looking at the little girl who delightful ate the food that she has been prepared. It seemed Yuki hasn't heard their small chattering.

5 silver coins wasn't big deal since he could spend more of it. "Hmm... This is my last question, where I can find a monster here? Or to be exact, I'm a level 19 adventurer I need one more level to be qualified in guild selection. What do you think? Where I can find a good spot."

Chirla placed his right under her chin and she kneaded it smoothly, it seemed she had an idea what he was talking about.

"Hmm... To be honest, I know small idea where is the best spot you can find a monster, wait..." She picked one crystal out of his pocket. "This crystal leaves the young girl as she hasn't enough money to pay the rent. At first, I get mad since this thing hasn't been done about me, but I realized no matter what I said if she hasn't money it will changed."

She bestowed the yellow-orange crystal in his Yumiro grasp, it had the same size as the teleportation crystal he used to get back in the Adventure Capital.

"Another teleportation crystal?" Yumiro asked himself while his left index finger pointed at it for 3 seconds.

Chirla's eyes got serious while looking at him. "I don't know what is the certain place where you use that, also I had no idea what monster waiting for you there. She said I can sell it, but I'll give it to you for free since you give me bunches of gold coins."

"This dungeon can be dangerous, but I will be stuck in my level If I do not take this." Inside Yumiro's mind.

Tomorrow will be a special day for Yumiro since Amiya will finally play with him. So the possible way at this point was to enter again inside another perilous dungeon.

"If I were you, start to find some party members that would help you. Finding party members is really hard."

He shook his head with had a malicious smile on his face. "No, thank you. I'm fine in a solo expedition."

"Ha! Are you out of your mind? I never heard of an adventurer having a solo expedition. Tank or fighter class is enough, so there is a person who blocks large attacks." Chirla advises him, but seeing the young man's eyes it seemed he didn't care about her words.

"I don't trust anyone, however, thanks to this crystal I will pay more gold if I collect tons of items inside this dungeon," Yumiro said as he was eager to enter again inside dungeon, at this rate, the only thing he could be to farm since the high quest was applicable once you joined the guild.

"That's a promise, right?" Chirla cheerfully replied.

"I'm look joking? I will give you high gold if you literally take care good of her." He pointed his index to Yuki.

"That's an easy job, Grim Draigh. Let me handle this one." She pulled the sleeve on his arms as she was excited to claim the price.

"But, I know that you hurt him starts to hide." Yumiro said with a weak tone.

A journey awaited him inside the new dungeon called the dungeon castle, a monster with extraordinary powers the one he needed to battle.
