The Adventurer System

A young man had red eyes marked a logo on the elevated screen that appeared right before his eyes. It was not too far away from them, so they continued to traipse in.

Some of the adventurers passed by, but they didn't care who in their front. As a young man was enveloped by a black cape.

10 minutes had passed, Yumiro and Yuki were stood up straight in front of the wooden door. The map was pointing in this place, as this place could offer food and room that enough for Yuki to have proper rest.

The inn was too old it wasn't suited for the place setting. "What happened here?" Yumiro said while looking at Yuki. "Do you want to..."

He couldn't complete to finish his question as there was a woman stepped out of the wooden door.

A sound of colliding alloy perceived by their ears, it was like a bell but its hang on the door that will ring if their adventurer arrived.

"A customer?" A woman had a cat ear said.

Yumiro was shocked to see creatures like this place, it has brown ears, a brown tail, a white skin tone, and shimmering blue eyes what you usually see in a specific cat.

"Meow?" Yumiro covered his mouth as he was embarrassed by the words that came out of his mouth.

"What is it, Mr?" A woman cat politely asked him, she wore a typical suit that suited her job, way more looked like it was a maid dress.

"Brother Grim, she asked you." Yuki said with a weak tone after seeing a young man was just dumbfounded at the woman cat.

Yumiro flinched as his senses came back in their original state. His face was reddened thinking how he could initiate a conversation.

"Ah... Eh... Did you still have a room?" His planned to find a new place was changed.

A woman cat cheerfully nodded to him, "Yes, Mr. But, we have one room here because our in is affordable, so the other adventurers went here to save money."

"That's fine, me and this little girl, it can occupy two people? If not I can pay for the extra bedsheet." Yumiro said also he didn't notice his stuttering tone was relieved.

She shook her head. "Sorry to say, Mr. Our room is for one person if you requesting an extra bedsheet you need to add 20 silver coins."

Yumiro remembered something that he needed to ask in the first place. "Oh, I forgot how much the cost for one room?"

"Just 70 silver mister, you can live in that room for one week. And added the bedsheet, it will cost 90 silvers coins in total." She replied politely.

"Inventory," Yumiro only earned 200 gold coins for all his expedition because he didn't sell the core of the monster he collected. In his grasp were 5 gold coins, he then bestowed it to the woman cat's soft hand. "It's enough? He asked with a clueless tone.

The woman hurriedly give back the 4 gold coins and took 10 silver coins in her pocket. "No, Mr... 90 silver cost is enough, those gold coins is too much."

"No, take it. That is for food of this little girl." Yumiro put back all the coins inside her pocket. "Can we come in?" He said as the woman blocked the main door.

"Y-Yes!" She voluntarily opened the wooden door for them, eventually, the two customers came in.

Inside the place, it was crowded by the adventurers who drinking alcoholic beverages. They were positioned beside the bar, staring at them with furious eyes.

The place had 80 Square meters, inside it, had 5 wooden tables, wooden surfaces, and wooden chairs.

However, those adventurers didn't intend to approach them as they took upstairs where they could find the vacant room.

Above, there was 10 room in total and each room has a number 1-10. 5 minutes had passed 3 of them was stood in front of the number 6 room.

"You're so lucky, Mr. This room rent by a girl, and she decided to check out this morning." A woman cat said while using the key to open the door.

Yumiro wouldn't speak any words as he wanted more to observe the surroundings of this place was safe for Yuki.

The door clicked as he successfully opened it by the cat woman. They swiftly entered, "This is your bed, and this the bathroom."

Inside the room, there was one bed, one desk, and a chair, but there was a window where you could see how much beautiful the adventure capital.

Yumiro sighed as he embarrassed to ask for some request for another creature, moreover, even though it was the first time he saw her.

"Can I ask what's your name?" He asked as this woman cat hasn't screen name over his head.

She nodded without any hesitation. "I'm Chirla,  I'm the employee of Barlane inn. And you are?"

Seemingly this woman could see screen name, "I'm Grim Draigh..."

The woman cat stepped back as she heard what kind of adventurer this man. Her eyes were terrified by just looking at Yumiro's face, also worried about the little girl beside him.

"Grim Draigh? The KS specialist? Mr, please leave this place immediately I don't want to sue by the royal guards because I'm a hiding thief." She was stuttered planning to leave the place and called for some help.

"Brother Grim is not a thief!" Yuki yelled as she was upset at what she heard.

Yumiro patted his head to make her calm. "Don't yell at her, Yuki. She's older than you so you must show some respect." He glanced at Chirla with expressive eyes. "I haven't stolen anything believe me or not. I know what is the main reason why they need to spread false information like that. Don't worry I won't stay here in this place longer, I just need to find a place where this little girl can rest."

Moreover, Chirla's eyes tell him that she didn't believe his words as they usually say of the adventurers who committed a crime.

"You will leave me, brother Grim? Did you promise you won't leave me?" Yuki said with teary eyes.

"Of course I won't leave you, but brother Grim has some job to earn money. How can bring to your place if had no money?"

Yuki took a glance with him. "Uh-eh." She couldn't reply to anything as her brother Grim was right.

"Seems you understand it now, Yuki. Also, I will gather information, Okay? I'll not take long, every night I already here."

"W-Wait, I said leave the place." Chirla intervened with their conversation.

"Inventory!" Yumiro took 20 gold coins out of his inventory and bestowed all of them to Chirla.

"What is this? I don't need this?" Moreover, in her mind, this kind of money she will take for 1 year, she couldn't earn it for one day.

"This for rent for staying here, also to babysit Yuki." He pointed his index finger to her. "She's still child, she hasn't known a lot of stuff, so please take good care of her." He bowed his head as he begged that woman cat would accept his offer.

"I lost my job if they knew that you been here," Chirla replied with a bit raised of tone.

"Don't worry no one could notice me unless you spread it." Yumiro replied and lift his head while his red eyes sparks.

"This is a lot of money, but I can't accept if it slips in my hands. Okay, I'll let you stay here in one condition." Chirla raised her index finger that pointed into the wooden ceiling.

"What is it?" Yumiro said, in his mind, no matter what she said he will do it, as he knew if he moves to another place no one would accept them.

"Don't come out if there's a customer downstairs,  also always use the back door, so you could protect this inn."

"Okay, isn't a problem for me? Yet, don't worry about me I can go out with the place without being noticed." He confidently said.

Brr!

Two of them were stopped to their conversation when they heard suspicious sounds near to them.

"What is it?" Chirla asked while finding where the sounds came from.

Brr!

Another growled occurred, and this time Yumiro knew where the sound came from. He saw Yuki's face was blushed, he smiled after seeing her cute reaction.

It seemed she was hungry, "Sorry, brother Grim I can't stop it." Yuki said while holding her stomach.

"It's okay, Yuki. Don't worry."  He replied with a grinned then he looked at Chirla. "Chirla, can you give her a delicious meal?"

Chirla nodded to her. "Of course, it will take a minute."

"Okay, thank you..." Yumiro stood beside the windows looking at the skies. "What is the place there?

This was the new journey for Yumiro inside the VR world, there were a lot of events will happen. Guild Wars and Pk so stay tuned....
