The Adventurer System

Chapter 82 - Salamander

Blag!

A man that had a bulk physique strongly slapped the edge of the corridor. As he was angry as his party members wouldn't take any experience from 1st to 3rd floor, that supposedly a high exp from them.

"Damn it! Who are those adventurers who took the monsters here?!" Bruce yelled while gritted his teeth.

Pat!

Pat!

A young man had an eye patch on his eyes, was gently patted his shoulder.

"This isn't done by a party, this is done by an adventurer who has a sole expedition. You didn't hear what the other adventurer said when we are in the portal? They said the adventurer had a screen name of Grim Draigh entered in this dungeon."

Bruce blondie's eyebrows were furrowed along with the knitted forehead. "Grim Draigh? What he's doing here, Miles? This dungeon is tougher than the ordinary dungeon that is suited for his level. Wait..."

Bruce opened his function screen with wondered eyes. He then clicked the list of rookie popular adventurers.

[1. Asiah]

[2. Grim Draigh]

[3. Diorser]

He tapped the number 2 rookie adventurer, then a new tab flickered on his eyes. It seemed it was a basic profile of the adventurer. Bruce didn't hesitate to stalk it.

[Grim Draigh.    Lvl. 19.  Class: Brawler.   Subclass: <none>]

"How confident him! He's just a brawler and he's not scared to have a solo expedition." Bruce chuckled and took away the worried expression on his face. "Let's head to the next floor surely we can catch up with his pace."

There was a crown over his head, it seemed it was signed that Bruce was the leader of this party raid.

"W-what we will do if we meet him?" A woman who had a long blue wand in her grasp seemed to be she was the cleric.

"He has 2 options, Sei. The first one he can join in our party, and the second one leaves this dungeon," Bruce replied with persuasive eyes.

"A-and what if didn't accept our proposal? It's against the rules for taking another adventurer monster right." Sei was stuttered while having a conversation with the party leader.

"Then start to say goodbye in this world. Aside from that, I heard he called as the KS specialist, so he would not get mad if we stole his monster because he did the same time." Bruce has a malicious smile on his face, and then took a glance at the man on his back that wore a magical robe.

"Diorser, the man that ahead in the popularity rankings is in this place. There's a chance you can take over his position, so why you don't cast a magic spell?" Bruce snickered while asking him.

A young barely swept his magical robe towards his back. "I have nothing to do with the rankings, leader Bruce. All I need for me right now is to become Lvl.20 mage, to be eligible for the guild selection." Diorser replied with a lifeless tone.

However, he still cast a magic skill directly on his hand.

[Shard star!]

Then suddenly, after spitting an incantation there was strong light emitted on his hand. Way more looked like, it had the same shine like a star that enable for to completely see the whole place

"Woah!" They said at once. Also, bothered after seeing the surface had gallons of blood.

At first, they didn't notice it, but it changed when Diorser cast his skill.

"This is the blood of Poisonuve Treant, you must avoid it or else we could proceed to the next floor." Asaki warned her party members. Moreover, she already checked the blood that could plaster them in an instant.

After a minute, they used the monster that likes a tree, and some vines to become their bridge.

"Asaki, what you can say about Diorser's magic ability?" Bruce mumbled to the woman who had silky emerald green short hair.

"Hmm? Uh... I can't tell. This is the first time I'm having an expedition with him, besides I can't still see his true powers because of the circumstances." Asaki replied then landed on the corridor that was really tight than the other floor. It seemed only one person could fit inside.

Bruce landed on the place, "I understand, but he's the number 3 rookie adventurer. The light he releases is strong, right?" He was proud of the adventurer join to them.

"Uh... This is what you mean. I admitted his magic is tougher than I thought..." Asaki hurriedly replied as she checking the small corridor if there was any threat by using his cat's eyes.

"This place is safe, but I can see where Grim Draigh's precise location. It seemed he's already on the 4th floor." Asaki said to them, and also her members easily to her as her Zexel was literally reliable.

Asaki Zexel called the bat's eyes, but the appearance was looked like a cat. However, the use of her Zexel was to track the location of even the place was so bright or dark. Moreover, it has limitations since she could use it in 100 meters.

"What?!" They said once again and didn't expect that adventurer would easily make a big gap to them.

"We should rush..." Miles stopped his suggestion after discovered the place would slow down their pace. "How he possibly do that, tch!" He clicked his tongue and followed his party members inside.

...

A young with long white hair stood up in front of the door, that wondered since the other floor hasn't.

"Using my [Physical transmission] skill had consumed a lot of fatigue, but it's okay. I already made a far distance to them." Yumiro said while having grinned on his face as he knew he could able defeat the monster inside before those adventurers find him.

In his front, after the slanting corridor, only the door was the only thing he could see in the area. No other passageway or the path to advance to the next floor.

So after he took a deep breath, he placed his hands on the polish door and gently pushed it since was much lighter than the gate inside the Lynx dungeon that needed an enhancement skill before it opened.

Swish!

But the scene that happened was different as he forgets to cancel off the [Physical transmission] skill, so the polish door was whacked to the wall.

Bam!

"Damn it!"

You could see in his eyes that he was shocked by the scenario. Moreover, the true thing worried him as there were multiple glowing red eyes appeared in the room.

Flop! Flop!

Then suddenly, the torches inside were automatically lightened up. Now, the place was covered by a torch, so there was no partial darkness left.

"7 monsters, really? Please, tell me that my eyes deceived me." Yumiro squinted multiple times as he was hoping the number of the monsters decreased.

"He-he." He had an uncomfortable smile on his face while his index finger was slowly dragged in front of him for seconds.

[Salamander- It has high agility and proficient attack. It can deal +75 damage in a basic attack.]

[Salamander skill(s)- [Slash] Using the keen claw the monster would deal +98 damage up to +105 damage when it gets critical, critical chance 9%. 2nd skill [Fire breath] using their mana inside their body it could create magical power that can deal +102 damage in direct hit]

In his mind, after reading the word (salamander) he thought the monster would be a dragon that could breathe fire. But it was a lizard that had red scales, keen silver claws, and red eyes.

"Hays, thank god isn't a dragon. It's like kobolds that I fought from the elf village, however, their limbs were on the ground that made them different. Also, they couldn't able to speak like the kobold.

Fighting those monsters would eat a lot of time, so Yumiro charged directly in the amid of the open room. Where the thing you could see were the salamanders.

"If I didn't cancel my devourer skill, I can easily rid this monster." Yumiro took the Kariki knife to complete his quest from the swordsman class.

Swish! Swish!

He wielded his knife while the monster was aggressively charged into him. Even though the number count in each swing from his quest, still, he couldn't land any damage as the salamanders easily dodged it by just using their speed.

Thud!

Thud!

He stepped away from the monsters, as he noticed something that will become the reason why he could reach the summit.

"My fatigue was easily draining, if I continue like this there's something might happen."

It could become more possible to use the knife if he had an item that will regenerate his mana. But on the other hand, he desperately used the deer meet and sweet beverages when he encountered the Knight.

He hid it and bounced a little bit as he wanted to use his taekwondo skill in the meantime.

"I can complete that's quest when I have free time, but for now, I'll just focus myself on those monsters."
