It was nice seeing Hua Ruo Lan and Li Yan getting back together again.

"Don't worry.... I call you when I find that girl" Li Yan said as she walked her cousin to the car.

" Thank you" Hua Ruo Lan said as she left the villa.

Now all she needs to do is to find out who that girl is before setting her plans in motion. She got to the Emerald Mansion very late that day,she was very tired. She hasn't slept well since yesterday. She slowly walked to her room and laid on her bed. As she was about to close her eyes,her phone rang. It was Ye Ruo Shi. Hua Ruo Lan became irritated and almost threw her phone away. These people were always bothering her.

"Ruo Shi what is it?" Hua Ruo Lan asked.

"Ruo Lan...where are you?" Ye Ruo Shi asked

"I'm at home" Ruo Lan, answered.

"Oh...great I'll come meet you there" Ye Ruo Shi said.

"No don't come here" Hua Ruo Lan said. She didn't want any of those vipers to step foot in her house."Just tell me where you are and I'll come there"

"OK I'm at Epic cafe...be fast" Ye Ruo Shi said as she ended the call. Hua Ruo Lan was very tired and was not in a good mood. She needed to rest but she couldn't. She got up from her bed and went to meet Ye Ruo Shi.

"Ruo Lan..I'm so excited about tomorrow" Ye Ruo Shi said happily.

"What is happening tomorrow?" Hua Ruo Lan asked as Ye Ruo Shi's face turned sour.

"What do you mean by that?!..how can you forget that tomorrow... Hua Ruo Lan its my birthday tomorrow" Ye Ruo Shi said angrily. Hua Ruo Lan rolled her eyes without Ye Ruo Shi noticing. She had a lot of things to do so it was natural that she forgot Ye Ruo Shi's birthday, plus she couldn't care less.

" So Ruo Lan...you are going to throw this birthday party for me like before right?" Ye Ruo Shi asked excitedly. In Hua Ruo Lan's past life, she would always be the one to spend and throw lavish parties for Mu Feng and Ye Ruo Shi. To her,it didn't matter if she spent billions for them. Just as long as they were happy,she was satisfied. The most painful part was that after spending so much for their parties, Hua Ruo Lan won't be allowed into the party because the bouncers were given strict and specific instructions not to let her in. Whenever she complains to Mu Feng or Ye Ruo Shi, they would come up with a stupid excuse.

"Sorry Ruo Shi.. I can't.. not this time" Hua Ruo Lan answered.,Ye Ruo Shi's face became blank.

"What do you mean you can't... you've been the one throwing all my parties for me...so what's different about this one?" Ye Ruo Shi said trying to persuade Hua Ruo Lan."Ruo Lan I've already told all my friends about this party....you know that I'm not good in planning parties..Ruo Lan please help me". Hua Ruo Lan looked at Ye Ruo Shi as she pleaded. Even if she cries and rolls on the floor, there was no way she would throw that party for her. She will be starting her internship tomorrow, what time will she have to plan a birthday party for an ungrateful witch like Ye Ruo Shi.

"Exactly...Ye Ruo Shi.. I know you can't plan anything that's why I want to help you so you can learn these things" Hua Ruo Lan said.

"But..but.." Ye Ruo Shi tried to protest but Hua Ruo Lan didn't give her a chance.

"Ye Ruo Shi it's for your own good..remember to send me an invite.. goodbye" Hua Ruo Lan said as she smiled and left Ye Ruo Shi speechless.

Hua Ruo Lan went to the parking lot and entered the car. She closed her eyes but quickly opened them when she heard her phone ring. It was Mu Feng. She answered the phone and waited for him to speak.

"Ruo Lan where are you?..didn't you hear the news about my accident?" Mu Feng asked. "why haven't you come to see me?...are you still angry?..but I...." Mu Feng was shocked when he heard the dial tone. Hua Ruo Lan ended the call because she obviously wasn't in the mood for nonsense. She was about to drop her phone when Hua Er Bao called her. It seemed like these people planned on pestering her today.

"Ruo Lan..where are you? my mother and I want to see you...it's been long since you came to our house so why don't you come now..you know we miss you a lot" Hua Er Bao said without giving Hua Ruo Lan a chance to speak."Come here quickly we'll be waiting". Of course Hua Ruo Lan can choose not to go but she still chose to because he wanted to know what they will say to her so she told her driver to take her to Wang Fang's house.

Both Wang Fang and Hua Er Bao were waiting for Hua Ruo Lan. They gave her a fake warm smile and she did the same. Wang Fang and Hua Er Bao led Hua Ruo Lan into the living room.

"So tell me how have you been" Wang Fang asked with a smile on her face.

"I'm fine aunt thanks you for asking" Hua Ruo Lan answered.

"Ruo Lan have you done what mother told you the last time" Hua Er Bao asked waiting for an answer.

"Yes I have..my lawyer is out of the country right now...I'll tell him when he comes back" Hua Ruo Lan lied

"Good...good " Wang Fang said happily as she looked at Hua Er Bao who was very excited. It seemed like that was the only thing thy called her for so they didn't know what else to talk to her about. Sensing this, Hua Ruo Lan decided to leave.

Hua Ruo Lan returned back to the Emerald Mansion. She was very tired but for some reason, she couldn't sleep. She tried so hard but she couldn't. She went to Lu Jin's room and started playing with him expecting that she'll get tired and sleep but she couldn't. She became frustrated.

In the evening when Lu Qian came home, he changed and ate his dinner. He was about going to his room when he saw Hua Ruo Lan holding her head in pain. He went towards her. Hua Ruo Lan was a bit startled when she saw him.

"You.." Hua Ruo Lan stopped talking when Lu Qian c.a.r.e.s.sed her lips.

"What's wrong?" Lu Qian asked softly as his voice echoed I'm her heart.

"I can't sleep" Hua Ruo Lan answered answered as shyly. Her reaction made his heart flutter a bit. He smiled a little before holding her hands.

" Come on" Lu Qian said as he led her into his room and laid her on the bed. Now the person who was confused was Hua Ruo Lan. Just a while ago he was very angry with her now he's being caring towards her.

"What are you thinking about?...sleep" Lu Qian said as he stroked her hair.

"I'll sleep if you join me" Hua Ruo Lan said as she held his hand. If there was one thing Hua Ruo Lan was really good at, it was getting him to do exactly what she wants. How in the world could he refuse her,she was and still is the only woman he loved.

"Fine let's sleep together" Lu Qian said as he switched off the light and laid beside her while Hua Ruo Lan threw herself in his arms and held him tightly. Her body was so relaxed that she didn't know when she closed her eyes to sleep.
