The CEO's Dark Wife

There was a wave of gasps in the air. Old Madam Lu's statement shocked everyone.

"Is she joking?"

"She's lying right?"

" Why would she lie about this?...don't you people remember that we did not know who Lu Qian's wife was....we all assumed it was Hua Er Bao"

"So Hua Er Bao isn't Lu Qian's wife after all"

"Why did she lie about her relationship with Lu Qian?"

"I don't understand....what is going on here?"

Hua Er Bao and he mother Wang Fang were too shocked to move or even utter a single word. They never expected Hua Ruo Lan to show up at her son's birthday party.

"Mom..what's going on....why is Hua Ruo Lan here?" Hua Er Bao asked her mother who was still shocked.

"I...I...I don't know..Ye Ruo Shi said she was going to Sweden...I don't know how.." Wang Fang tried to understand what was happening.

"Er Bao let's leave now....everyone is still focused on Hua Ruo Lan....let's leave before its too late" Wang Fang said as she dragged Hu Er Bao who was a bit reluctant to leave. They moved with caution so that no one would notice them leaving but they were disappointed.

"Hua Er Bao.... where are you going to?" Li Yan asked as she walked towards them.

"Lu Jin's birthday has not even come to an end and you are leaving?.....that's unlike you".

"Hua Er Bao I feel like I should give you all my awards....because you are such a good actress" a well know actress came forward.

"Yes....you deserve more than that....you need an Oscar for best actress" another came forward

"Wang Fang weren't you just telling us how great your daughter's married life is" some of Wang Fang's friends came forward. In just the blink of an eye, Wang Fang and Hua Er Bao were surrounded.

"I...I...well you see...we"Wang Fang tried to defend her self and her daughter but was stopped when another woman lashed out at her.

"Oh...please Wang Fang..be quiet...stop lying...our ears are filled with your dirty lies"

" You and your daughter stink of deviousness.... I can't believe you fooled all of us into thinking your daughter was married to Lu Qian"

"Look at her..she was just proudly telling us about the love she and Lu Qian have for each other....how he loves her and does everything she ask him to do...she was just feeding us with lies"

" I can't even look at the both of you...I blame myself for trying to befriend deceitful people like you".

Hua Er Bao stared at the floor wishing it would open and swallow her up. This disgrace was too much for her to bear. These people weren't just ordinary people that she could confuse with lies.

These were some of the most intelligent and smartest people in the country. Which lie would she tell that will get her out of this. Her reputation was being dragged in the mud. This was all Hua Ruo Man's fault. If she hadn't shown up at Lu Jin's birthday then she would have gotten away with it like she did before.

"Ruo Lan what's going on?...why are they surrounding your aunt and your cousin like that?" Old Madam Hua asked.

"Don't worry about it....let me go and check.." Hua Ruo Lan said as she gave Lu Jin to Chang Ying. She walked into the crowd and made her way to her aunt and cousin.

"Aunty, Er Bao....what's going on?" Hua Er Bao asked acting as if she had no clue about what was going on. Li Yan who had been standing there enjoying the show explained everything to her cousin. Now that Hua Ruo Lan was here, Hua Er Bao can act pitiful before her so that her cousin would defend her like she had always done in the past.

"Cousin....look...whatever they are saying...it is not true at all...Ruo Lan I would never do any thing of the sort... please you have to believe me" Hua Er Bao begged , she was desperate.

"Yes....Ruo Lan it is not true at all....we are your family.... we only want the best for you...we would never do anything so treacherous". Wang Fang pleaded.

"Hey....Wang Fang , Er Bao....what are you saying?.....Are you trying to call us liars?"

"Take a very good look at me....do I look anything like the two of you?....how dare you accuse us of lying"

"I guess anyone who can lie to their own family can as well lie to the whole world".

This time Wang Fang and Hua Er Bao were caught between a rock and a hard place. Since they had told Hua Ruo that they were innocent, they had no idea they were adding salt to the fire they created. Now they have angered a group of very powerful and influential people. Hua Er Bao head started shaking. She needed to find a way to leave this place.

"Ah...my head....it hurts" sent cried as she held her head pretentiously.

"Er Bao are you OK ?" Hua Ruo Lan asked.
