The CEO's Dark Wife

Li Yan went back into the ballroom after she had finished talking to her cousin.

"Li Yan" Lu Qian called as he waled up to her. The both hugged each other.

"How are you and where have you been?" Lu Qian asked

"I'm fine and I've been hiding" Li Yan said playfully.

"Where is the birthday boy...I haven't seen him?" Li Yan asked

"Oh he's over there with my mom" Lu Qian answered pointing at their direction. Lu Jin was holding with Old Madam Lu's hand as she chatted with Old Madam Hua and some of her friends.

"I'll greet them" Li Yan said as she bumped into M.K.

"Li Yan.."M.K said as he looked at her amazed. She looked gorgeous that evening."I...I didn't know you were coming". Lu Qian let out a slight cough which made M.K rephrase his sentence because he knew Lu Qian told him that she was coming yesterday.

"I mean....I... I didn't know you were already here"

"Oh....I just came in a few minutes ago" Li Yan said. She noticed that M.K was staring at her intensively.

"Are you OK?" Li Yan asked.

"Yes....I'm fine...I think I'm a little drunk" M.K answered. The glass Lu Qian was holding almost fell. M.K hadn't even had a glass of water since he came here, how come he was drunk already?

"OK... just don't think too much...I need to go greet my aunt...excuse me" Li Yan said as she smiled and left.

"Did you drink from home?" Lu Qian asked.

"Shut up!" M.K said as he left.

After greeting her aunt her aunt's friend, Li Yan headed towards Hua Er Bao and the large group she was talking to, Ye Ruo Shi was also among this group. These people were all famous personalities. It was time for her to go set the trap.

"Er Bao....what a pleasant surprise" Li Yan said as she hugged her and let out a fake smile. She also smiled at Ye Ruo Shi who was surprised to see her. Hua Er Bao and Li Yan never got along with each other in fact they were sworn enemies. Hua Er Bao also did the same and hugged her back.

"Where is your husband and your son?"Li Yan asked. If Hua Er Bao was smart enough, she wouldn't answer her question at all.

"They are over there" Hua Er Bao proudly answered and even pointed at them. Li Yan couldn't help but laugh silently at her foolishness.

"Er Bao why aren't you wearing your wedding ring....and where is your engagement ring?" Li Yan asked as she purposely raised her left hand.

"Oh...I didn't wear them...I was afraid of loosing them." Hua Er Bao said. She didn't expect Li Yan to ask her that kind of question. Was she trying to embarrass her?.

"If it was me I wouldn't wear it out either....some one might just cut off my hand"

"Yes....I heard her wedding ring was a 7 carat diamond ring and the engagement ring was a 24 carat emerald ring"

"You know emeralds are very rare so its safe to just keep them at home" Hua Er Bao was very happy that the people there agreed with her.

"Those rings also symbolizes the love Lu Qian has for me , so I wouldn't want to loose it... it's very precious to me" Hua Er Bao added.

Lu Jin who had been with his grandmother started crying. H has been waiting patiently for his mother but she was no where to be seen. Hus two grand parents tried to comfort him but it didn't work. He really wanted his mother.

"Come here little Jin" Hua Er Bao said as she stretched her hands but to her dismay, Lu Jin refused her. This act alone started raising suspicions. Lu Qian went forward and carried his son but he didn't stop crying. Everyone tried to appease him with toys,sweets but he didn't stop. Suddenly he stopped crying and wriggled his legs, telling his father that he wants him to put him down. Every eyes in the room followed his little legs as they ran.

"Hello my little prince" Hua Ruo Lan said as she picked him up. Everyone was stunned. They had never seen such a beauty before. Hua Ruo Lan walked gracefully in her beautiful green mermaid gown.

"My God...she's so beautiful that I'm afraid to blink"

"Who is she?...where did she come from?"

"Is she a relative of the Lu family?"

"Is she from heaven?".Hua Ruo Lan smiled as she walked towards her husband and kissed him on his lips. She then went ahead to greet her parents and in-laws before returning to her husband's side.

"What?!! has she gone mad?"

"Who does she think she is?"

"Doesn't she know he's married?"

"What is she doing?....she sure is audacious". The people were surprised. No body expected that from her but what they failed to realize was that Lu Qian also kissed her back as well.

"Look" someone from the crowd said as she pointed to Hua Ruo Lan's hand which was adorned with a 7 carat diamond ring and a 24 carat emerald engagement ring which was the same as the one they had heard Lu Qian give to his wife.

"Who is this woman?"

"Why is she wearing the same rings Lu Qian had given his wife?"

"Does this mean that she is Lu Qian's wife?"

"Did Hua Er Bao lie about her relationship with Lu Qian?. Everyone was confused about this whole scenario.

A friend of Old Madam Lu was so confused that she couldn't help but ask.

"Lin Jia Li....who is she?" the woman asked. Her voice was calm but it could be heard round the room. Hua Ruo Lan turned facing her mother in law. Lu Qian also turned to his mother. Everyone fixed their gaze on Old Madam Lu waiting for an answer. Old Madam Lu laughed excitedly before speaking.

"Isn't it obvious?...she's my son's wife....Hua RuoLan"
