Lu Yifeng stayed at home for the following days, but even if he did, he would still work in the study near his room. He would read files and would hold a video call meetings instead.

Meanwhile, Xia Meilin became so busy in preparing for her concert so during the day, she wasn't in he house.

It was a good thing that No Jing was there to take care of Little Melon since both of his parents were busy. Although there were times where Little Melon would join Xia Meilin in playing the piano.

"My mother will be coming to your concert." Lu Yifeng said while he was sitting on the sofa with some files in his hand.

They were in the music room and Lu Yifeng was there to listen to her practice while he was doing his work.

Xia Meilin was sitting opposite of him, she was holding a cup of tea since she was currently in her break. "Mm, okay."

"We will have to act as a real couple in front of her," He looked up to see at her reaction.

"Why? Doesn't she know that our relationship is fake?"

Lu Yifeng's hold on his file became tight when he heard the 'fake relationship' from her. He tried to contain the temper inside of him before he said with a blank look on his face. "No, she doesn't know. If she did, she would have already come here to get our son and make me divorce you. As you already know, she had another girl in mind for me."

Xia Meilin already knew that Lu Yifeng has a fiance since she heard her converse with her son one time through call. She ignored that back then since she didn't really cared if Lu Yifeng has someone outside. He could have any woman he wanted to have but he would never have her.

The part that caught her attention from what Lu Yifeng just was his mother coming to steal her son away if she learned that her relationship with Lu Yifeng was fake.

"I will not allow her to get my son from me," said Xia Meilin with a serious look on her face.

"I know, I will not allow that either. Our son will live here with us."

Xia Meilin stared at him for a while when she heard 'our son' coming from his lips. Yes, Little Melon was indeed their son that was why he had the right to say that. Still, it made Xia Meilin feel bitter to accept him as Little Melon's father.

"That is why we need to convince her that what we have between each other is real. We have to act like we have have been together for years."

Xia Meilin nodded her head, "Okay."

The news about them being married for four years has already spread like wild fire so it wasn't surprising that Lu Yifeng's family was able to discover it.

Even if his family would try to look at their marriage files in the Civil Affairs Committee, Su Lei has already ordered someone to change the year to four years ago. Everything was taken cared by Lu Yifeng's men.

Lu Yifeng planned everything so well so that his parents wouldn't be able to know the truth between them. He was not going to allow his own family to ruin his relationship with Xia Meilin and his son.

Despite feeling nervous when she thought about meeting his mother, Xia Meilin had a blank look on her face. She didn't have any violent reaction when Lu Yifeng told her that they should act as a couple in front of his mother since she was doing it for her son.

Aside from that, it was partly included in their contract that whenever they were in front of other people, they were to act as a real couple in front of them.

Xia Meilin was going along with him for now since she was actually planning to start her plans against him after her concert ended. Her schedule wouldn't be that tight anymore and she could finally focus on destroying him.

She didn't love him, she only has hate for him that's why her mind was set in her plans.

Finally, the day of her concert arrived. It was a formal concert where a lot of famous musician was seen attending it since Xia Meilin was an international pianist.

The media took photos of the people who walked down the red carpet of Beijing Concert Hall's entrance. Everyone who arrived in the concert wore formal dresses and suits.

Of course Xia Meilin was not the only one who would be continuously playing the piano, she invited some guests for her concert.

Lu Yifeng was sitting in the front row, making sure that he has the best view for his wife's performance, beside him was his mother, dressed in a long silky lavender gown. She had a shoulder-length straight hair and she looked younger than her age, although she had a mature beauty on her. Since she had a straight look on her face, the similarities between her and Lu Yifeng was obvious.

Not long after, the concert started.

Xia Meilin was wearing a beautiful navy blue dress. She played a few famous piano pieces before she played some of her originals.

The concert hall was quiet, everyone was listening to her play. The younger generation who was forced to come by their parents may find a concert like this boring but with Xia Meilin's techniques and even the feelings she placed in every pieces, their attention was captured by her.

After a while, when she was about to play her last piece for that night, a small boy entered the stage. Little Melon was wearing a white tuxedo with an eye-catching red bowtie.

He was so adorable when he stood in the middle of the stage. He didn't look nervous, instead, he had a lively look on his face.

He was handed an microphone so that he could introduce himself to everyone. "My name is Xia and Lu Mello, momma and dada's son and I will be playing the last piece with momma!"

Everyone in that room ended up chuckling with the adorable way he introduced himself. It was the first time where Little Melon would join his mother in playing the piano so everyone was curious on what kind of piece they would play.

Jing Yue, Lu Yifeng's mother, had a soft look on her face when she saw Little Melon. She came there so that she could meet the woman Lu Yifeng kept from her for years and she also wanted to know what kind of person he married that made him replace Bai Xiu Ying, his fiance.

Aside from that, she saw in the social media the comparison of Little Melon and Lu Yifeng. When she learned that she actually has a grandson, she couldn't help but get excited to meet him.

On stage, when Xia Meilin and Little Melon started playing the piano together the people who was watching the duet was amazed when they saw how the boy played.

Little Melon was a genius like his mother when it came on piano. Because of his photographic memory, it wasn't hard for him to learn how to play the piano. He was taught by Xia Meilin since the age of two and because of that, he was able to improve his skills.

It was supposed to be Xia Meilin who would only be playing the piano for that night's last song but she changed her decision since she found out that it was a good chance for Little Melon's exquisite piano skills to be exposed.

They were playing one of Xia Meilin's original piece entitled, 'Tender Love'. The piece was new and Xia Meilin wrote it as a duet for her to play with her son. The music was so beautiful and lively that everyone started remembering their childhood days, the days they spent with their mother since the piece was about the love of a mother to her son and her son's response to his mother's love.

What was unique in Xia Meilin and Little Melon's way of playing was that they were able to bring music into life. Just like his mother, Little Melon knew how to put feelings in his music. With this piece as Xia Meilin's masterpiece, everyone was touched, including Jing Yue.

It reminded her of the time where her sons, Lu Yifeng and Lu Xian Yu were still little. One was behave while the other was naughty, nonetheless, she loved both of them equally.

Watching Little Melon and Xia Meilin together on stage, she couldn't help but wonder at what kind of hardsh.i.p.s did Xia Meilin experienced while she was raising Little Melon. Being a single mother wasn't easy, especially when Xia Meilin was a famous pianist. Something started growing in her chest as she continued on listening to the piece they played.

When they finished playing, the room was quiet. Xia Meilin helped Little Melon in gettingboff from the high seat before they walked in front and bowed.

One clap was heard before it was followed by others. The loud thunderous claps filled the hall.

"Bravo!" Everyone cheered.

"That was incredible!"

Lu Yifeng was standing proudly as he watched his family on stage.

When Little Melon met his father's eyes, he smiled happily at him and waved. In the eyes of many people, Xia Meilin was behaved. She just gave Lu Yifeng a small smile and a nod.

Xia Meilin's dressing room was filled with flowers and gifts that came from a lot of her fans and known people.

Little Melon was eating a cupcake when Lu Yifeng arrived.

"Congratulations." He was holding a bouquet of flowers.

Xia Meilin noticed a woman that resembled Lu Yifeng standing behind him, Xia Meilin smiled as she accepted the bouquet. "Thank you, dear."

Lu Yifeng took the chance to held her by her waist and kissed her cheek which surprised her. Xia Meilin was about to push him away when she heard him whisper in her ear. "Don't spoil the act."
