13. Flying Chicken

The old man in white who led her there was in charge of all the chores in the Heaven Peak Tower. He guided Fire Phoenix to the resting palace of King of the Netherworld with extreme ease. However, before he opened the gate, he said to Fire Phoenix all of a sudden, “Your Majesty Phoenix, please don’t be surprised no matter what you see in there.”

Fire Phoenix was intrigued right away. However, the old man in white stopped talking and turned around to leave.

Suddenly, she seemed to hear noise coming through from inside of the door.

“Come in!” The cold voice of King of the Netherworld came out.

Fire Phoenix put on a serious look again to cover the suspect on her face and then pushed the door open gently.

“Stop running!!!!!” A clear roar came up abruptly.

Fire Phoenix was stunned. After she calmed down and looked at the place, she found a chicken that was scared into flying around pouncing on her. Then she raised her hand and froze the chicken in the air without any hesitation almost due to her conditioned response.

After she had calmed down, Fire Phoenix found that the flying chicken was actually a high-level Demon Beast in ten times the size of the normal chicken. Its feather hadn’t even fully grown yet, which meant this chicken had just been hatched. Nevertheless, it looked like the chicken that had already had intelligence.

Right at this moment, the one who had let out that clear roar also ran over. It was a young boy around eighteen years old.

His eyes were as pretty as the stars in the paintings and his smile was as bright as the pearls.

However, what really had drawn her attention was the boy’s appearance in the resting palace of King of the Netherworld and the chaos he had made. What’s more, she seemed to have seen the mild golden light all over the boy’s body.

Also, Fire Phoenix found that she couldn’t even tell where this boy had come from. As she was in astonishment, the boy had already run up to her.

“Wow, you are amazing. Thanks for catching the chicken for me. You are a good person!” The boy held Fire Phoenix’s hand immediately and expressed his thanks sincerely.

Fire Phoenix was totally stunned.

After the boy had thanked her, he grabbed the flying chicken at once. After that, he rushed to the inside excitedly.

Fire Phoenix’s eyes were widened again after she had seen that. In the meantime, she also got more and more suspicious with mixed feelings. Generally, the creature which was frozen by her would stay motionless firmly unless she or someone who possessed great spiritual power released that creature. But that boy had just broken her spiritual art easily!

Seeing King of the Netherworld sitting on his seat, the boy ran toward him with excitement while shouting, “My leader, look! I have finally caught this flying chicken! How about eating roasted chicken tonight?”

Hearing that, the high-level flying chicken with intelligence could only cry inwardly. Since it couldn’t move, it could only shed tears in silence.

“Sit down!” King of the Netherworld asked the boy to come over and stay quietly for a while.

“Fine.” The boy who didn’t get the response he had wanted to hear ran to the king reluctantly and then sat down obediently.

Well, it was not like he could do anything now. The boy’s leader was also the one who fed him right now. He couldn’t afford to irritate this man since he wasn’t powerful enough. So, right now, the boy’s principle was listening to all the orders which were given by his leader and being docile all the time!

It was not her primary concern when this boy had shown up and what his relationship with King of the Netherworld was.

“It’s an honor to meet you, Your Majesty!”

“I know why you came here. Do as what the Lord of Transmigration Palace has told. Block the information about the golden wandering soul and execute anyone who leaks the information!” King of the Netherworld said that in a cold voice slowly. It seemed that he had already made up his mind before Fire Phoenix could say anything.
