2. The Golden Wandering Soul

It was said that the Three Lives Stone could reflect a man’s past and present life.

The stone was completely green and looked like a mirror or a transparent and smooth jadeite. However, there were six crimson words engraved on the surface– Go to the other side quickly!

The wandering souls could see their previous and present life through the Three Lives Stone. The aim of that was to let those souls forget about their pasts so that they could be reincarnated early and start a new life.

Right now, lots of wandering souls were standing on the Bridge of Sigh in a long queue. This was the only way to the Underworld where the wandering souls would be reincarnated. When they saw their previous and present lives on the Three Lives Stone, some of them were happy, some were sad, some were obsessed, some were angry, some were indifferent, some cried, some laughed…

However, there was a strange scene showing up today. There was a golden wandering soul clinging to the Three Lives Stone.

Due to the golden light which was sent out from the soul, the other wandering souls who had passed by didn’t even dare to look at him. Some of them even kept away from him with their whole bodies trembling.

There was not a single wandering soul having the gut to come close to him with a ten meters radius.

In the meantime, the golden wandering soul was lying on the Three Lives Stone, being in a sound sleep with his lips smacked. No one knew how long he had slept here.

He seemed to have felt the coldness around him. Then having curled up with cold, he finally woke up slowly.

His black eyes were as bright as the morning star. And the enviable light which was reflected by his eyes was more attractive to the other wandering souls than the Three Lives Stone.

However, they only took a glance at that light and then looked away at once. Because, if they stared at the light for too long, they would feel a sting inside of themselves. After that, they would start to have a mental breakdown.

The golden wandering soul climbed up from the Three Lives Stone. The other wandering souls couldn’t see his face clearly but they had glimpsed that he suddenly stopped in the half way and stared at the Three Lives Stone blankly.

Although they didn’t know what had happened, they assumed that the Three Lives Stone must have reflected his previous and present life.

Actually, it did have!

The golden wandering soul skipped his previous life straightly by stamping on the Three Lives Stone violently and saying, “I want to see my present life!”

All the wandering souls fell down…

That could work?

The Three Lives Stone suddenly began to shine. The rays of green lights spread out to all around and then gathered together in no time.

That was something which had never happened before. The green lights drew two ghost officers here right away.

When the two officers saw the golden wandering soul on the Three Lives Stone, the look on their face changed right away. Their pale faces now expressed a faint shock.

After they had discussed with each other, one of them went back to inform the King of the Underworld immediately while the other stayed here to guard the golden wandering soul with a serious look on his face.

After the green lights were gathered, the golden wandering soul started to jump out of joy instantly. Then he came back to lie on the Three Lives Stone again with his eyes fixed on the stone. It seemed that his present life really was displayed to him as he had ordered.

“Gosh, these guys are so evil. Why couldn’t they let a dead person rest in peace?”

“I was fooled. I was tricked. So my blood father was Phoenix Emperor and I was a prince?”

“What a bunch of boring people. They were not willing to let go of a bastard of the emperor like me because they wanted the throne. And they have set a trap for me? Huh, I was so clever that I didn’t go exactly as they had planned. Otherwise I might have to beg for my death now. Well, I was hit by a coach afterwards and died. But after all, I have died in my own way, hmm, that’s a good death!”

All the other wandering souls and that ghost officer were all speechless…

“What? Why did everything disappear?” the golden wandering soul couldn’t help but shout, because, after enjoying watching his own life in high spirit for a long while, he suddenly found that the Three Lives Stone had changed back to its original state and stopped playing anything. ‘Because you have died. That’s why there is nothing else now.’ The ghost officer thought that with his teeth gritted.

At this moment, the other officer who had gone to inform the king finally came back. The person who came along with him was a gorgeous and enchanting woman. Her fire red robe and her hair in the same color fluttered with wind, giving others an impression that she was enveloped by the holy light. Her graceful and sexy figure was a fatal attraction to all the Gods and Demons. However, right now, not a single wandering soul dared to look at her straightly.

Because she was the king of the Underworld, Fire Phoenix.

The reason why she had rushed over so fast was, she had detected the abnormality on the Three Lives Stone.

As Fire Phoenix saw the golden wandering soul on the Three Lives Stone, a strange look appeared in her eyes.

When she was going to step forward, something suddenly happened.

The green light of the Three Lives Stone shined brightly all of a suddenly. The lights which had just popped out wrapped the golden wandering soul right away. In no time, the green lights as well as the golden wandering soul all disappeared.

In a distance, in an endless sea of flowers…

A tall figure, with indomitable spirit, suddenly felt something and raised his head. The look on his god-like handsome face was as indifferent as usual. However, when he looked at the scene of the stars changing in positions, there was a meaningful look appearing in his eyes.
