The Legendary Ruler

Chapter 17 - Killing

The winter was nearing.

The people could already feel the cold and dry air permeating their lungs and assaulting their bodies, forcing them to take out their heavy and thick clothes from the wardrobe.

Somewhere deep inside the Million Monsters Forest...

A group of about twenty bandits, clothed in tattered linen clothes and covered by old leather platebodies, held their rusty swords as they surrounded a beautiful red-haired girl.

The girl stood calmly in the middle of the circle that formed rapidly around her. However, there was no trace of fear in her eyes as she looked at those dangerous-looking people.

"It seems like lady luck finally smiled at us, brothers!!! Look at what we caught...The Violet Clan will surely pay a lot for this one"- One of the bandits disgustingly yelled, with a vicious smile on his lips as he eyed the beautiful teen in front of him.

This man was covered by a long-sleeved blue robe, that seemed to protect him from the current weather. He had a big crooked nose and his black hair was tied in a small ponytail, giving him a barbaric and ugly appearance.

The girl immediately assumed that this stupid person, who wore clean and luxurious clothes, was the leader of this band.

"Tonight we are going to have some fun"

"I will go first"

"What the f.u.c.k, Brun!!!! It's my turn"

"Frank, the last time you went first, you almost destroyed the girl"

The members of the band began to argue and fight between themselves as if this kind of inhuman and atrocious act wasn't their first. They narrated numerous horrible atrocities that they committed.

At the side, hearing their ruthless deeds, the girl's red eyes burned with fury and killing intent.

'These beasts in human clothes are so heartless and merciless...how could they do that?'- The girl thought as she coldly looked at them.

From their discussion, she learned that they already killed hundreds of people, from children to elders. The band also burned down entire villages, killing all the men and raping every woman, who were then sold as slaves to the Violet Clan.

"You all deserve to die"- She mumbled in an almost inaudible way.

"What did you say, little girl?"

"I said...You all deserve to die"

The red-haired girl raised one of her feet and stepped forwards, disappearing into thin air, like dust being blown by the wind.

Suddenly, a black light slashed towards one of the bandits, aiming right at his neck. The man tried to evade, but he couldn't move...it was as if a giant mountain was hanging over his shoulders and no matter how hard he pulled, he couldn't take a single step.

The black light beheaded the man in an instant. The others watched in bewilderment and fear as their comrade's head detached itself from his body and flew in the air.

"Ahhhhhhhhh"

One of them couldn't help but give a pitchy yell as the head rolled on the ground and touched his feet, with its eyes wide open, filled with dread and unwillingness.

The black light immediately disappeared, not leaving any traces behind. However, at that same moment, another scream echoed through the forest.

The survivors looked towards the source of the sound and the image in front of their eyes scared them to death. A beautiful and small hand, wrapped in black energy, pierced through their brother's c.h.e.s.t and dug out his beating heart.

"MONSTER!!!"

"RUN!!!"

They couldn't take it any longer… they were just normal people who flew away from their villages after committing grave crimes, like robbery or ****.

They have never participated in a war or any other kind of heavy conflict, so, the gruesome sight in front of them was like a scene straight from hell.

Although the bandits could swarm and subjugate her with numbers, no one was willing to be the first one to step out and become a headless body.

The bandits, driven by a deep fear, spread through the forest in frenzy. They knew that fighting against that monster would only lead to their prem.a.t.u.r.e death and if they wanted to survive, being faster than the others was the single option.

The girl squeezed the beating heart in her hand, turning it into a bloody mist that slowly rose upwards, like smoke blending with air.

"None of you will survive"- The girl bleakly said.

All of sudden, the black energy wrapped on her hands stretched out of her fingers, forming two dreadful dark blades that throbbed uncontrollably...as if a violent electric current was passing through it.

The girl looked at those cowards beasts and disappeared, like a silent ghost. A few seconds later, the forest was permeated with the scared cries of the bandits as they were swiftly cut down by the teenage girl.

She was like a killing machine, killing every one of the bandits in mere seconds. The girl was like a sharp wind, appearing out of nowhere and cutting the opponents with a swift and precise slash.

After a few breaths of time, the forest finally returned to its previous peaceful state as if nothing out of ordinary happened. There was only a fearful cry that disturbed this holy place.

"Please, don't kill me!!"- The leader of the bandits yelled in terror as he looked at the teen.

The girl's white clothes were painted by blood and her red eyes looked at him with fury and killing intent. She was like a demon from those fairy fails he heard when he was small.

"Oh, please, don't start begging like a child"- The teen's freezing voice sounded.

"When the others begged, did you stop?"

"You don't deserve my pardon"

She lifted her feet and stepped on the bandit's head as she said

"Please, I will never do any evil again...I promise"- The man began to cry and beg like a little kid who lost his mom.

It was a pitiful sight to see a big man crying under the feet of a young girl. However, this was his life on the line. The man would do anything to remain alive.

"You all will become headless ghosts, unable to guide yourselves through the river of souls...unable to reincarnate through eternity"

"Fated to roam hell…."

The girl didn't even care for the man's excuses. Her hand swiftly descended towards the bandit's neck, like a guillotine, cutting his head out.

*Sigh*

The young woman sighed and looked upwards as the black energy receded to her body.

She didn't like killing, nevertheless, she couldn't let this type of person remain alive or more tragedies would befall innocent people. It was better this way.

"Oh...interesting"
