The Liberal Assassin

Chapter 30 - Titania

The fated day arrived and Lisa helped put the finishing touches on my make-up. My long hair was pinned up meticulously with some fringe curled tastefully to accentuate my long lashes. Lisa dusted some rouge on both cheeks and stepped back for a moment. Admiring her masterpiece after hours of work, she deemed me ready for the ball.

Ignacio smiled and offered his arm to me with a twinkle in his eye. This man was enjoying it way too much.

"You look beautiful, Titania."

I grimaced but forced a smile in front of Lisa who sighed dreamily. "Thank you, Ignacio."

As Ignacio opened the door for me, I heard Lisa shout to Ignacio to not screw this up. The infuriating man only bowed in response as we stepped out onto the streets.

The dress was a stunning electric blue and clung to my figure like a second skin. Although decently clothed, I find myself to be wondering if any part of me had been indecently exposed.

My collarbone was exposed as the cutting was lower than the shirts I was used to. The sleeves were long and splayed out towards the end creating an illusion of slender arms. I had a belt at the narrow part of my waist to give the illusion of wider h.i.p.s. It didn't help that Lisa was thoughtful enough to include paddings to the c.h.e.s.t area and it felt weird when they rubbed against my n.i.p.p.l.es with every step taken.

The bottom half of the dress felt breezy and I wonder if anyone would discover my male parts if the wind decided to flip it inside out. The shoes were the only consolation, being slightly higher than the boots I wore daily. They were easy to walk in.

Every few steps I would tug at the end of the skirt as it rode up a little past my 'sleek t.h.i.g.hs'. I swore if Lisa made this a few inches shorter there would be nothing left to cover. The dress hardly covered my b.u.t.t stopping at the top my t.h.i.g.hs. No matter how much I begged, Lisa only said that it would make my legs look longer. What kind of man would enjoy looking at another man's legs?

Nash had pointed out that I shaved and waxed mine so it looked no different from a woman's. I regret ever doing that but the thought of having hairy legs scared me.

"We're almost there."

I nodded. The plan was simple. Ignacio was to attend a party as the Chairperson of Luna Services and I was his escort. We were hunting Colin Veneral who was famous for his taste in women. Ignacio will have a business talk and offer him a companion as a gesture of goodwill. After that, it was up to me to finish him off.

The party was crowded as usual with tabloid writers everywhere. I scanned the area, trying to spot any familiar faces. Tracy Fong and Felicity Red were hogging the camera spotlight, as usual, giving me enough time to find Colin who tried to cop a feel but failed miserably. Clearly, the lady he was trying to get physical with didn't appreciate the gesture. He was rewarded with a resounding slap, rivalling Jasmine's.

Ignacio approached Colin who nursed his reddening cheek. "Hello there, Mr Veneral, it's rare to see you at such parties."

The pervert noticed me and gave me a wink. Suppressing the shivers up my spine, I smiled back shyly.

"Well, it was hard to meet the CEO of Luna Services so when I heard your name was on the reservation list I knew I had to make it."

Ignacio chuckled. "I'm honoured. This isn't a place to discuss business. We should move to a private room."

Colin didn't protest but his eyes were on Titania the whole time.

"Ladies first," he smiled and escorted us the way to a private room.

The private room was nothing I had expected. It was completely soundproof and had no connection to the Inner City's mainframe network. I couldn't reach Cain and only had Kevin with me.

"So this is the rumoured Silent Citadel. I'm impressed."

Colin grinned. "Reserved for only the ones with credit and power."

Ignacio smirked. "You mean the Parliament."

The strawberry blond haired man smiled courteously at Ignacio but his teal blue eyes flashed dangerously.

"You've been hanging out with bad company, boy. Didn't you learn from your previous boss' mistake? The poor young man… What's his name again? Titus? The poor boy played with Juma and then got traumatised."

Ignacio stiffened. I got ready to launch into plan D.

"Then again, I'm not very surprised. Luna Services is an aggressive company. Felix isn't good enough to influence the Inner City. You need real people in power to pass legislations. Am I right?"

"Aren't you going to ask how I know you're a Parliament member?"

Colin paused and studied Ignacio. For a few tense seconds, I glanced back and forth. It wasn't until

Colin laughed that Ignacio loosened up.

"What for? Only one type of person will seek a Parliament member's identity and everyone gets it from the same sources."

"Same sources? How do you know?"

Colin paused. "Because that's the only way to get it. You buy your way into the system from dear Rion because Spencer won't sell it."

"Well, it's a real pity then. I thought I would be the only one to strike a deal with a Parliament member."

Well, played Ignacio!

"You're not the first and you're certainly not the last," Colin stated as a matter of fact. He then leered at Titania, making me shift in my too short dress.

"I'll make things simple for you. I'll agree with whatever you're asking for in exchange for a night with that beauty over there. I was looking for some company tonight but it looks like nobody back at the party was interested. I guess they prefer someone rich and young like you."

Ignacio gave a nervous chuckle at that. "Well, I'm not sure about this. Titania here is rather shy and I think you should ask her instead of me."

Colin tutted. "How would you ever get the ladies if you're going to be this passive? Be a man and take charge of things! Women should be put in place, beneath us."

Ignacio looked like he was going to argue but I gripped his arm tightly. The glare I received made me tighten my grip as I shook my head.

Colin, who was watching us this entire time, grinned. "Looks like the little lady here isn't just for show… If you know what's good for him, you'll spend the night with me."

Ignacio looked torn. This wasn't planned and he seemed to have forgotten that I was a man trained by a retired hitman. I smiled and gave him a gentle push, urging him to leave.

Gritting his teeth, Ignacio glared at Colin who was gloating over Ignacio's defeat. "I'll be leaving for the night then, Mr Veneral. Please enjoy your time."

As the door closed, I felt arms snake around me and a husky voice by my ear. "So pretty, I heard that your name is Titania? How about we get straight to the main activity? The Silent Citadel doesn't only have a meeting room. I have my private playroom. Won't you accompany me?"

The man was downright disgusting. His every touch made me sick and his hand lingering too near to the hem of my too short dress made me uncomfortable. It didn't take long to reach the room he mentioned but it felt like forever to me with that hand on my waist. I wanted to be done with this as soon as I could.

The moment the door to the room shut, I launched straight into the plan. Throwing myself straight at the soon-to-be dead Parliament member, I kissed him deeply with tongue and all, employing all my killer moves. It was the most revolting thing I've ever done and I doubt I'll be kissing anyone after this.

Colin was pleasantly surprised but thought nothing of it. The kiss led his hands to wander but I ignored them in favour of distracting him more. The modified ring I wore had been laced with a very strong a lethal muscle relaxant that would stop a person's heart in three minutes. A small prick enough to draw blood will have this man dead soon enough.

With a bit more force than needed, I pulled him closer to me and pricked his forearm in my "passionate making out".

We inched closer to the bed without parting at the lips but I could already notice the slight changes. His steps became heavier as the seconds ticked and his kissing became sloppier. It didn't take long for the man to become deadweight.

"What…?"

I smiled at the man now lying in my arms, paralysed.

"Sweet dreams," I whispered in a very male voice. Colin wanted to curse but found that he had no strength left in him. With the last of his strength, the strawberry blond decided it was wiser to give me the finger while his eyelids shut. At least he left in a stylish manner befitting of his nature. Colin Veneral cared for no one but himself and wasn't bothered by what others thought about him. To make things believable, I tucked him into bed and messed the sheets up a little to make it look like we had done something. Leaving now would create suspicions so I checked the time only to find out there were two more hours to kill. What better way to spend my time than trying to create a new personal high score in the latest game I developed?

"Kevin, I want to play Kozzo Warriors."

"Right now, sir?"

"Yes."

"As you wish."

It didn't occur to me that time flew by faster when I had things to do. By the time I created a new high score, three hours had passed.

I popped by the bathroom on the way out and checked my reflection. My make-up was smudged, hair was awful and I looked like a mess. It's good enough.

Once out of the building I called for a wheeler. Cain should have been done long ago and Khronos would have received the files for city blueprints, research data and human experimentation evidence.

"Kevin, any messages?"

"One from Nutcase."

I sighed. What was it this time?

"Received the files, will get back to you in a few weeks. If you find any new information regarding the experiment, keep me posted."

Groaning at the thought of my information gathering plans, I wish I could make clones to do it. Cross-dressing wasn't fun and I didn't intend to do it again in future.
