The Little Calamity

Serah waved at Rayne. Arisa explained their whole situation and asked for an awakening pill for Rayne's ceremony, after their deal Serah easily accepted, giving them a tier 7 version of what she asked.

" She really is serious, she didn't even give me one of this rank."

Although the difference between a tier 6 awakening pill and a tier 7 one was small every bit mattered, the price were also completely different. She gave it as both a message of how serious she was and as a gift for her new love interest.

" This thing... it make cultivation easier and it only work on those that never cultivated?"

He could see it's effect but he couldn't understand it.

" Before you can cultivate you have to go through an awakening ceremony where we will find your affinity for cultivation, we call it talent. During your awakening you will be surrounded by an aura of different color showing your talent. The lowest talent color is white which is also ironically one of the strongest, it either show completely lack of talent or that you have extremely pure ki, it's followed by pink, yellow, blue, green, blood red, royal blue, orange and finally black which is equal to white.

The darker the color is the higher your talent is and although that talent is decided at your birth you can increase it during the awakening ceremony by passing some heavenly trials. This pill will grant you more strength during those trials. That's why I accepted that deal."

She looked a little defeated mentioning it.

" What does she mean by a few night per month? Am I supposed to help her with alchemy?"

He felt a little excited at this though, although he learned about love and l.u.s.t he didn't learn every innuendo related to it. Arisa couldn't help but find him a little cute.

" She meant for you to have s.e.x with her."

His excitement died as soon as it was born.

" I have no d.e.s.i.r.e to mate with her, although she seem nice I do not have love for her."

He stated blankly, making Arisa completely red.

" That's.. I am sorry but I already accepted the deal."

" If that is what she really meant then I will have to decline. I am only attracted to you."

Although he talked crudely Arisa was smitten by his words. She was expecting him to be more like an animal, ready to mate with everyone but when she watched his back as he went toward Serah's house she could feel how serious he was.

Sadly the guards stopped him, stating that she was currently trying a new receipt and she ordered to not be disturbed by anything.

" Let's forget about this for now, I still have to introduce you to the other three head elders and your ceremony is already prepared."

Although she was happy about his feelings they already accepted her gift and she wasn't one to go back on her words. Rayne would be able to feel p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e and he would have a powerful alchemist behind him, it was only good for him with no downside, at least not no downside for him. She felt a possessive urge but she managed to contain it before anything showed on her face.

She quickly brought him to the next elder, a bald, monk like man named Oli. He was the only elder at the king rank that cultivated his body instead of his mind. His skin seemed to have a golden shine making him seem like a holy god.

The only thing that broke this image were the three old women sitting in his l.a.p, rubbing his body.

" So this is the little calamity huh? As expected he has such a beast like aura. Hehe, if you ever need some women you can come to me, as the young miss's student I can at least do this.. much."

His voice nearly turned silent under Arisa's glare, she quickly brought Rayne away.

' Why are all the head elder trying to seduce him? Should I even introduce the other two?'

In the end she still had to pay them respect but she made sure to make it as brief as possible. The other two head elder were Wang the blacksmith, a buffed man that though of every weapon as something precious and Reald the formation master, a thin man that looked extremely weak and had a permanent creepy smile on his face.

Of those four, three were the supporting type that focused on their occupation for the good of the sect and only Oli was known as a great fighter, apart from Luther who was an emperor Oli was the strongest in the sect and also one of the strongest king in general. Although he was lecherous man he had skill.

With this out of the way Arisa became a lot more relaxed.

" How are you feeling Rayne? Do you think you can do the awakening ceremony now or do you want to wait until tomorrow?"

She knew that Rayne wasn't someone that needed rest but she still asked, concerned about his health after he greeted hundreds of people.

" I will be fine. I won't disappoint you."

She laughed softly, there was no way she could be disappointed. She was ready to fight against the world for him, something as small as talent wasn't enough to change her mind.

She quickly brought him to a giant formation, there was two way to awaken, the first one was simple, you start by feeling your dantian then by creating a link with it the heavenly trial would start, although there isn't much down side to this method it can take a long time and there is also isn't any up side.

The second method was this altar, it would make the link to the dantian in an instant and it would prevent any injuries during the heavenly trials while providing some support during it too, this was the biggest reason why clans were so strong, without such a protection not many people would dare to go all out during the trials which would result in lower talents.

Usually this wasn't such a big event, there would be tens of people awakening each day but the title of little calamity was quite famous especially since blood city was close to the clan. A lot of people wanted to know the talent of a beast like that.

He was also the student of the future leader of the clan, forcing a lot of people to come. Still, only one head elder was present, Serah was watching Rayne with ravenous eyes as if she couldn't wait to be with him.

Arisa felt a bit of blood l.u.s.t bubble up in her body but she quickly held herself back. She took out the awakening pill and gave it to Rayne.

" Eat this and enter the circle, I will activate it."

Rayne threw it in his mouth and walked in the circle without much thought, usually people would sit down for this but he stood straight, looking over the crowd with his blank eyes which sent shiver down everyone's spine.

It was as if he was daring anyone to attack him, saying that he could take on all of them at the same time even if he was in the middle of a ceremony.

Arisa smiled at this sight and started the circle, immediately taking Rayne's consciousness into another realm. A white aura appeared around his body, causing chaos. Was it the highest talent or the lowest?
