The Rise Of Park Yejoon

Chapter 25 - Vacation

Hey guys! I was gone for a very long time and for that I apologize. I realized what mistake I had done and that was not imagining my story anymore. To create a story you have to have a basic idea on what you want to write about and I had completely gone over that. I followed many of you guys suggestions. I actually got pretty invested into Warframe (space ninjas videogame) and stopped reading novels for a while. I started working out for a little while and after weeks of going over what I had done wrong, I slowly recovered my inspiration. Once again, I apologize for the long wait and I hope you enjoy.

Yejoon froze and looked at the man.

"Ah...I am not sure If I can." He said with a weak smile. His mother was still his parent guardian and he would need her permission first. Not only that, he was not sure if he could properly model. He had never done this and it did not do him well to think about it. He was sure his talents were limited and even if the system was able to assist him, his apparent talent in everything would lead people to different conclusions. He did not want to have a cult or people worshipping him.

Reading Yejoon's expression, the man responded with,

"If it's about your mother, please take your time on it. We will patiently wait." The man smiled. Wayne reached into his pocket and revealed his business card. Yejoon was given the card and he placed it in his pocket. With a sigh of relief, the man looked on with a business grin but with a touch of determination.

The man shook the boy's hand and left excitedly, probably off to tell his boss of his great feat.

Yejoon was confused and walked for a little more to familiarize himself and went back home. As he walked he pondered about the whole peculiar situation. How he had been appreciating nature. How he… bumped into a pole. How he was suddenly interrupted by a frantic man and given an elegant card.

He took the card from his pocket and checked it once again. It had specific and basic credentials. It showed a lavish-looking logo that exuded grace.

'Huh, never heard of them…'

If his thoughts were heard he would be strangled immediately by trainees of said company. They had worked their heads off to be able to be recruited. Some had been in countless auditions yet had not been chosen. Some even had to starve themselves to burn minimal amounts of fat. The competition was fierce. Certainly, it was not the biggest modeling agency but the others were so prestigious that this one was their best option. People aspired to model here and get comfortable pay and a nice career.

He sighed and decided he would search them up later.

He lied on his bed and arranged his disarrayed thoughts. He felt like he had done more than enough. If he did too much in the beginning and moderated the speed later it may come with repercussions. He closed his eyes and planned out his next actions. Unknowingly his mind had drifted off into dreamland.

He woke up a later feeling groggy.

"Ugh.." he g.r.o.a.n.e.d and held his temples attempting to alleviate the nap hangover.

He realized how uncomfortable he felt and looked at his clothes with mock-despise. Changing into his pajamas he continued the rest of the day through social media wrapped up in his blanket like a burrito.

"yo this kid looks gAY looool"

"ur jus jealous hes more handsome than u r"

"nvm he dosnt look gay he IS gay LOOool"

"shut up"

Yejoon shook his head and sighed as he read through social media's thoughts on him. He would not respond through words but by action. He reviewed his plans and mentally highlighted *haters*. He drank from his cup of water and stood up. He needed a vacation to take a break from all of this.

He'd been working hard and burning himself out would do him no good.

--------------------

He and his parents were at the airport. They too had been craving a vacation but with both Tian and Yejoon's busy schedule they had not been able to even think about vacation.

However, at last, both had been given vacations and his mom had helped choose a vacation spot. Tian had not been much of a vacation man and for that reason, he did not know any good vacation places. Yejoon in his past life dared not even think about a vacation with his salary.

The three were a little warm from their jackets but it did not do much to negate the freezing air conditioner and the morning cold.

Yejoon attempted to stop his shivering but it fell at a failed attempt.

'Curse this fetus-like body. My old body could go through winter with a scanty shirt yet here I am freezing my rear off.' Yejoon sounded like a demon lord who had taken possession of a body. If he had voiced his thoughts out he would surely be looked at strangely. He blew hot air into his hands rubbed them together. Alas, no better solution would lessen his woe. It did not help that his parents just showed their amus.e.m.e.nt at his troubles.

This boy had not been accustomed to these conditions and such, the new him was suffering.

His defying expression with a red runny nose and moist eyes almost had his parents snorting in laughter.

Yejoon shoved his hands in his pockets and harrumphed away.

The situation calmed down a bit as the body tweaked by the system began to adapt. His runny nose and wet eyes did not go away however which annoyed him to a great extent.

His mom took a picture of him and sent it to the Moms group chat (sanghoon's and mingyu's mothers)

This well-endowed family had attracted a bit of attention as eastern Asian families were not common yet in the USA. People noticed their good looks but all that was done were second glances.

No one recognized Yejoon as his fame had not reached such a point. Though he certainly had a great number of fans, not everyone knew of him.

A few hours passed and they boarded the plane. Yejoon looked around in slight interest at all the procedures and how this whole process was done.

His mom glanced at him and he could feel her pride at raising him so humbly. The parents wanted him to stay grounded to the floor and not get any superiority complexes due to his fame at a young age.

Yejoon coughed lightly, 'I was a dog in my past life, how could I even fathom boarding a plane.'

His mom asked with concern, "Are you sick?"
